Small Bear and the Brothers ran down the hall. Hunter's smell was fresh, and not hard to find. All the Aes Sedai had fled to the ground floor, looking for the wolves. Good luck to them.
Coming to a halt at the door where Hunter's smell was coming from, Small bear took his axe and began to hack at the door. The Brothers took down the door with a combined tackle.
Running in, the Brothers began attacking the Aes Sedai. Grinning, Braendar walked up to Bonwhin, the Hawk Killer.
"Good Night."
Braendar smashed Bonwhin with his axe shaft. Not death - kill her pride, that was what would hurt her more. Braendar surveyed the damage, happily in control of himself again. The Sisters were either unconscious or had fainted at the sight. Braendar grinned at that. Bonwhin obviously had picked some poor helpers.
He turned to Leun.
"Well, come on, the whole Tower's awake and we need to get out of here!"

Leun's head was spinning. Wolves had overpowered the Aes Sedai - thirteen linked Aes Sedai, as well as the ones on the dais, including the Amyrlin. They had come in such speed and numbers there was nothing the Aes Sedai could do.
Not bothering to ask the millions of questions that tumbled about in his head, Leun turned to Braendar.
"These wolves... you can control them, don't you? Listen, I saw a Sitter with a white shawl slip through the door over there. The Tower will be ready for a band of wolves; we're going to have to travel as stealthily as possible. Unless we link together, I'm not going to be able to defeat anything more than an Accepted. You control these wolves with saidin, don't you?"

They came, and the one in charge is over there." He pointed towards a gray-white wolf, staring at Leun. "Trust me, we will get out of here. Don't underestimate the wolves. They know more than you think."

Braendar turned to Softpaw.
So, how are we getting out of here?
Softpaw cocked his head.
Get out? The same way we came in, of course. He said this as if the most obvious thing in the world.
Braendar grimaced. The Aes Sedai - those two legs - they're waiting for us. We need a plan to get out.
Softpaw sent an image of a cub wondering why he could not breathe underwater like the fish in the stream.
There are brothers outside, Small Bear. The two-legs follow them - none know we are in here. Those that do... fell... asleep. Softpaw sent an image of Aes Sedai smashing their heads on the ground when tackled, and not getting up, but still breathing. It seemed this confused him.
Braendar turned back to Leun. He made a small cough.
"Well, um... you see, Softpaw here says... there actually aren't any Aes Sedai." He gave an apologetic smile. "He says there are still wolves outside the Tower, and most of them are chasing the wolves. He also says they got in here unseen, except for the few which got... knocked out." He shot a glare at Softpaw, as if doubting this would work. "Anyway, the sooner we move, the better. And any of that One Power they use on the wolves... well, you'll need a pretty dang strong Aes Sedai to hold back all these wolves." He threw his arms wide as if to encompass all the wolves, emphasizing his point.

Leun simply sighed and nodded. With only a brief glance at the wolves, he made towards the door.
The White Tower proved itself to be a sprawling maze. The prison cell had not even been at the summit of the Tower, yet they were still far from the ground. The wolves seemed to know where they were headed, at least.
Past the unconscious bodies of countless Aes Sedai, they made way towards their exit. Few so much as stirred.
At last, they reached the bottom floor. The doors were wide open, and even the gates were left open.
"Free," Leun breathed.
With one step through the looming doorway, though, he realized that was not true. Across the bridge and through the streets were those dozens of Aes Sedai Braendar had spoken about. The wolves watched them with a pensive eye, and the Aes Sedai looked back.
"The wolves!" one cried. "The wolves!"

Drawing his dagger had become mortal instict for Leun. He reached towards his shirtsleeves, though felt nothing. The dagger was not there.
Fleetingly, the memory of his dagger clattering to the ground as Bonwhin secured bindings of Air around him.
"I need to get my dagger," Leun said. It was still up in his holding cell.
The Aes Sedai were advancing, though. With that many, Leun did not need to be close to them to sense them embracing saidar.
Yet, right then - miraculously, amazingly - the ground beneath them began to shake. Leun collapsed to the ground, hiding his face with his hands. Great fissures shot through the fround, and massive geysers of stone and sand shot through. Ornate buildings collapsed, and even the Tower began to sway, though the white stone had been reinforced countless years ago with Earth for it to fall.
At last, the cataclysm came to a halt. Dust clouded the street, yet he could still make out the motionless bodies of many Aes Sedai.
What have I done? Leun thought as he raced back to the Tower to retrieve his dagger.

Braendar stared stupidly. Even when Leun made that fool dash back to the Tower for his - what was it? his dagger? - he stared stupidly. In fact, if not for Softpaw, he would have still been staring stupidly long enough for Bonwhin to come, oick him up, and carry him back to his cell. Where he would have stared stupidly. Brother! We must fly! What is the Hunter doing?Braendar shook himself. He needs his weapon. Wait for him. Braendar hoped he would hurry

Discourse had consumed the Tower. Paintings in their frames had fallen to the ground, shattering. Ornamental vases were now nothing but shards, and bits of rubbles littered the halls. All a result of the quake.
Did I do this? he thought. He did not do anything, though he was certain it was he who caused it. Leun had never heard of anything like this except for Earth Singing, which was a Talent. He had never done anything like that before, though.
At last, he reached his holding cell. The gilt and ivory dagger lay on the floor untouched. Leun pocketed it, and as her turned to leave, felt bindings of Air. He tilted his head and saw Bonwhin there, blood driping from the side of her face.
"If I cannot gentle you myself," she said, losing all Aes Sedai dignisty, "I will kill you."
A gag began to cover his mouth, began to suffocate him. A large wad of Air cutting his breath.
Weaving Earth, Leun created a field of a thousand tiny stones. They leapt at her, scratching her face. She fell to the ground.
The Air vanished from around Leun. I have to get out of here, Leun thought. He knew he could not fight off Bonwhin for long.

Braendar gripped his sword handles harder.
"Where is he?!" he shouted, before hurtling into the Tower. The wolves followed, hesistantly, but surely.
He ran to their cell, relying on scent. If that fool ruined their getaway.
He screeched to a halt, seeing Leun staring down at Bonwhin. Braendar's face drained of color.
"Um... can we... like... run now?" he gasped. Bonwhin was bad news. Very bad. If the others woke up too... better not think about that.
Braendar grabbed Leun and began to drag him bodily. "Come on!"

Channeling weaves of Fire, Leun directed the flows towards Braendar's hands. Not enough to sere, but enough to scald. Enough to free the grip, at least.
Leun turned to Bonwhin. The Aes Sedai she had sent to capture him were far from gentle as they took him back to the Tower, and now he would--
Sounds of muttering and shouts rose from the chamber where the Sitters and Amyrlin were. Light, what am I doing?
He turned to face Braendar. "Yes. Let's go."

Snorting, he turned and began to run with the wolves, shouting almost absent mindedly, "Coming or not?"

He stepped through the White Tower's gates, finally free of the tangling webs of the Aes Sedai. It was almost impossible to push them as far away from you.
It was very late in the night by now, and not one of the Aes Sedai stirred. Light, how he hoped they were not dead.
"Now what do we do?" Leun asked, turning to Braendar and his pack of wolves.

"Now," he said, still feeling the sting of the burn, "we get as far away from Tar Valon as we possibly can, and find a place to stay. Then we plan. Besides getting back at the Red Ajah, anyway."

"Fine, if we can get off the island..." The Aes Sedai began to stir. The mustn't linger.
Leun sped off into the night with hopes to reach a ferry of sorts.
