(Ah, sorry... just ignore that one sentence, then.)Leun scratched his chin, which had not been shaved within days. "What has nothing to do with the One Power?" he asked before biting his lip. No, he told himself he would not be speaking with him. For a moment, hope bloomed inside of him. If Braendar knew something - something, anything - that could cause a distraction somewhere within the Tower, that could cause the Red sisters to tie off the weaves holding the Spirit barrier intact... then he knew he had a chance. "Well," Braendar said, grimacing, "I actually understand why Bonwhin thinks I can channel. You and I aren-t so different - we're both going insane because of our powers and Bonwhin hates our guts." He gave a small smile. "You see, I can talk to wolves." Braendar gave a small shake of his head and continued. "I can feel them, right now, in the back of my head. There's 17 of them, down south, and a nother far larger pack of 32 out west. And they want into my mind. But if I let them in, I might go crazy. Sometimes I can talk to them, but other times... It's as if I'm one of them. They call me "small bear". And those wolves... they're... like... brothers." Braendar cocked his head and looked at Leun. He knew he shouldn't ask him, but... "What's saidin like? Anything like me? If you let it in you know it'll get ya but you want to anyway?"

" Saidin is the epitome of ecstasy. You can feel the taint, feel it crawling into your mind, wrapping tendrils around you that will tighten until they can no more... it's a storm-tossed ocean, an ocean of fire, and you know with one slip the fire will consume you, yet you want to draw in more...." He left his spoken thoughts unended. So this boy could talk to wolves? It was dangerous to make binds with such a dangerous person, yet he knew it was his only way. "Listen... If you want to remain here twice as much as I do, then I know you'll want to leave right now. It's risky, but if you can call your wolves and draw them into the Tower, then perhaps we have a chance. All I need is a distraction that will cause the Aes Sedai guarding us to rush away, and I'll be able to break through the barrier than seperates me from chanelling. Perhaps then we'll be able to escape."

The only thing I could ask them to do and expect a 'yes' to is to hunt Trollocs or a Neve- Myrddraal. A pack will sacrifice itself for a Myrddraal." Branendar racked his brain. "I dunno... they were mentioning something about a great power in the tower. Not bad, just... respected." He looked at Leun. "You know, I actually think they were talking about you. There were thoughts of chains, so I think..." a grin split his face. "You know, pal, we might get saved just because you're here."

Brandon got up and looked out the tower windows.
"Sunset. Good."
He looked back to Leun.
"If you've no objections, I'd like to wait for nightfall. Clean getaway and whatnot. Anyway, if you'll spare me a moment, I'll contact our furry saviors."
Braendar closd his eyes and reached out with his mind. Yes. There they were.
Small Bear! said a voice. You speak to us!
Braendar ignored the jibe. Brother. I need you. The One in Chains is here and I am trapped with him. I need your help getting out.
To his surprise the reply was assent. Good. The Chained One will hunt the Neverborn. We come.
Braendar interjected. Not yet. Wait for night.
Again, the surprising assent. Braendar broke off from the wolves witha short "goodbye".
He looked to Leun.
"Well, seems to me we won't be sleeping on the stones."

This part deeply confused Leun. It was not that he was weak with the Power - he could weave Fire and Earth competently, could wield Spirit enough to shield a weak Aes Sedai who had not yet grasped saidar, and even had the ability to bind with Air - but in combat, he would fair no better than an Accepted of the Tower. "I still don't know what you mean," Leun breathed. He was beginning to get desperate. He only had a small handful of hours before the sisters came to gentle him, and that was if they didn't decide to prey on him early...

"What I mean is we are getting out of here was the sun goes down. Now, just sit back, relax, and wait for the fireworks to start." To emphasize this, Braendar lighed back and closed his eyes. He desperately wished his fear was not showing. He prided himself on his ability to look calm - but now it was being tested.

((EEP! Sorry! Went away again ^-^;; ) Braendar sighed. The hours passed with difficulty, it seemed. Leun kept silent throughout those hours, pondering over what Braendar had said. He had not given him a concise answer, or any decent one of the sort, so he had naught to do but mull it over in his mind. What was this grand power he had spoken of? Could it really be him? Suddenly, in came the sound of pounding against the cast iron door. It burst open, revealing Bonwhin Sedai and the trio of Reds. Instinctively, Leun lunged at the barrier of Spirit, though it was in vain. It remained as steadfast as it had throughout the day. "Leun Darakh," Bonwhin said, "the White Tower recognizes you as a weaver of saidin, a man who can channel. Because of this, a trial awaits you." Her lips curved into a grotesque smirk. No man who ever stood before the White Tower had been spared from gentling, which was why the trial was now viewed as nothing more than a formality. Both Bonwhin and Leun knew this. The thought of the gentling sent shivers through him. He'd be freed of the taint, the oncoming madness, but thought of being parted from the Tower . . . he could not allow it to happen. From his sleeves he drew his dagger, a very ornate piece of work, with a hilt of gilt and ivory, inlaid with firedrops. Beautiful as it was, the steel blade came to a sharp point. Snarling, Leun took a step towards one of the red-shawled Aes Sedai, his dagger raised. The hair on the back of his neck had stood on end as it always did in the presence of a woman who can channel, and now it stood straighter than before. Bonwhin had seized saidar, as well as her sisters. Tendrils of Air wrapped around him as coils would, fastening his arms to his side and his legs together. His dagger slipped from his hands. The strength of the bindings immediately lessened slightly. She had diverted her weaves and bound Braendar as well. "Pherra," Bonwhin said, addressing one of the three Red Aes Sedai. "This is Braendar al'Tairen, a man who can channel. He spoke of some long-forgotten male Talent earlier, so I surmised as much. I've tied off the weaves holding him, but I want you to remain here and maintain a barrier of Air against the door, incase he can unravel the weaves. I'm assuming he's a wilder and has built up a shield against chanelling, as he hasn't appeared to have used the Power as of yet. Remain outside of his cell in any case." The woman nodded. Suddenly, Braendar felt himself being lifted off of his feet. Bonwhin truly was powerful with the One Power if she could achieve such. She and the other two Reds strode from the cell and down the narrow hall. Trying desperately, Leun leapt against the shield blocking him from the Power, though failed again. It flexed slightly without Pherra there to maintain it, though it held. "Braendar!" Leun shouted. "Help me!"

Braendar woke with a start. Bonwhin was coming. He could smell her.
He tried to open his mouth...but it wouldnt. Eyes bulging with fear and fury, he fought against the weavings to no avail. Then Bonwhin crashed in.
Braendar fought like a madman, getting nowhere... and then he heard it.
We come, Brother.
Braendar stopped. He reached out with his mind. They were there. Four whole packs - some seventy wolves!
Braendar chuckled. It sounded funny with his mouther cloed, but he couldn't help it. t was too perfect. In one minute now, the wolves would be there. And oh how sweet it would be.

Leun hovered before Bonwhin Sedai, who was flanked by the two other sisters. She paused before a looming wooden door to gather herself. After that moment, she pushed open the door.
It gave way to a massive room, all forged of marble and ivory and the like. Seated in chairs set upon a heavily-lacquered dais were a large handful of Aes Sedai. In the centre was a woman perched upon a gilded seat. She wore a many-coloured stole on her shoulder.
"I, Bonwhin Sedai, present myself to you and the Hall, mother. With me are Elice and Pertrova Aes Sedai." Leun could barely see them, stationary as he was, though he knew they were bent in a great bow. Leun had heard stories mentioning a the Hall of the Tower and one known as the Amyrlin Seat.
"Leun Darakh," the woman upon the throne of gold-plated thone said. "Have you any words in your defence?"
Leun sputtered about, though no real words came. After a moment, he closed his mouth. Nothing he could say would save him.
"Those in favour of the gentling of this man?" the Amyrlin said serenely. Light, they were all serene. Bloody witches.
All sisters upon the dais rose a hand into the air.
"Very well. Leun Darakh, the gentling will now commence."
Bloody formalities; just gentle me already!
"Will ten of you now step down to link with Bonwhin, Elice and Pertrova?"
The last drops of blood drained from Leun's face, and he knew if he was not bound, he would be shaking. Only moments away.

((I'll move my last post to when they've taken Leun and Braendar away)) Braendar was shaking. He could feel the ties around him weakening, though - he could move more. But what about Leun? The wolves were here, but... Forcing the gag away from his mouth - or whatever it was, Braendar's pupil's narrowed. He leaned back and howled. Small Bear broke free of the bonds. Taking his axe, Small Bear procceeded to hack at the door - but something was stopping him. Snarling, he only stopped when a scent filled his nostrils. Brothers. Leaning back, Small Bear heard the scuffle out side and, grabbing the door, easily pulled it open. The Aes Sedai was asleep on the floor, her head sporting a large lump. And there were three Brothers. We fly to the Hunter of the Neverborn, Small Bear. Small bear nodded. He sheathed his axe and took out his short sword and dagger. And ran with the wolves.

Gret Brenharth stood watching the gates.Another uneventful day under the eyes of Aes Sedai, stuck wathing for trespassers. As if anyone would trespass on Tar Valon.
Gret sighed and sat against the wall. A little nap couldnt hurt...
***
Softpaw watched the two-leg fall asleep. All the better - all the faster to get to Small Bear and the Neverborn Hunter.
The wolves filed in softly. bounding through to wide open gates was no problem - the two leg had fallen asleep outide and left them open.
Wolves were masters of concealment. They made their way up the steps, Softpaw at the head. And then they came to the White Fang.
Slowly, the wolves took their positions. They didn't want ot kill any two legs - if they didnt have to. So 10 wolves circled the White Fang, and the rest went in. And all at once, howled.
The shock was surprising - the howls seemed to be ten times louder, and the only two legs stopped in shock. Then they ran.
Small Bear was not hard to find. A single two-leg stood in front of the door. Softpaw knocked her to the stone ground, where her eyes closed and a large lump raised on her head. Small Bear opened the door.
We fly, to the Hunter of the Neverborn, Small Bear.

(sorry, I'm a little confused as to what's happening - Bonwhin is off with the Hall to gentle Leun. Braendar is still in the cell, guarded by that other Aes Sedai. I'm not really sure what's happening in your post.)
