Zari turned and smiled at Ice. 'I think they take most forms of money. I don't know. I've run into some downright strange forms of cash' she wrinkled her nose, then turned to follow Zarah.

Amneiger couldn't think of a reason for Zarah to be flinching; he filed it away. There were other things to do, like get more food. He bought a hamburger from a nearby vendor and turned to look at a nearby display of hologram projectors. For a moment he tried to figure out what kind of parts he could get from the more expensive ones ... no, he could get the materials he needed from lab storage. Instead, he turned to look at a nearby book shop.

"Ice!" Zarah calls, banishing the convo with herself to the back of her mind, "over here!"

Only just around the corner was a massive mall, a never ending hall of shop after shop, and stacked up over 5 levels. She grins and turns her attention to a furniture store, keeping in mind a mental note to stay away from hover-beds and 'water'-beds this time. Baaad memories.

"Wha-Oh, sweet!" Ice ran ahead, her eyes locked on the monstrous mall of .. something M (too much guild wars reading for me XD). When she caught up with Zarah she gazed around some more.. this was going to be awesome.

"I notice Hades and Amneiger have already found some other things to occupy themselves with.. Are we going to do a group shopping spree, or split up and head to different sections of the store? We do need the same basic furniture..."

Zarah grins, "Computer technology was never really my forte, and I can never focus on a book for long.. Leave the men to their own shopping, they'll only slow us down" she teases, "I say shopping spree!" She winks, "Keng, Zari, you with us?"

Entering the first furniture shop she sees, her eyes brighten.. ah yes, normal life, this was more like it. "You, Sir" she addresses the human shop assistant, "have you got a moment?"

"Yeah what do you want?" the man says gruffly without turning around, Zarah folds her arms and smiles her most charming smile "We have Five hundred... Thousand credits to spend."

The man stops, his eyes widen and he turns, eying the group of females. For a moment he wonders if he heard right but he stands to attention "At your service!"

Zari grinned at Zarah 'Of course.', but at the same time, someone opened telepathic contact. #You made a few friends already. NO WAI.#
#Shut up. I'm allowed to make friends.#
#Fine.# Zari twitched. then began making a list of things she needed

Amneiger picked up a book about the history of Spacefleet and flicked through it. It looked like it might be useful; he put it under his arm and went to look at another shelf. He could have just used his glasses to speedread through anything interesting, but Amneiger generally used them in libraries where he would be less likely to draw attention from angry shopkeepers. So instead he mentally counted his credits and recalculated the pay cut he'd taken for a larger laboratory space.

Ice decided to take advantage of the man's newfound obedience.

"Take us to the beds/mattresses. Show us the best ones, please. And then after that, would bedspreads and such be sold here? Interior decor and trim?"

"Oh, well, I'll catch you later Leo, I'm falling behind." frowned, then grinned Keng as she rushed after her new friends. As she rounded the corner her jaw dropped. Somehow she's been expecting more of a military base than a small city when she came up here. This place looked like it had everything. She was speechless for a moment, then remembered she was only falling further behind, and looked around with a more critical eye, spotting her companions in a nearby furniture shop, which she quickly entered to find an atentive shopkeeper. "Sorry I fell behind there guys." she looked around, and having missed Ice's question, asked "So, where do you keep the bed sheets here? Could you show us please?" she remembered her manners at the last moment.

"Yes ma'am," the suddenly Very attentive shop keeper nods and bustles immediately towards the linen department, "Right this way please."

Zarah seems to lag behind, studying Keng with a blank expression. Lycanthrope... She has that way about her.. if so, she may just come in handy.

((Just to let you know that I'm still here as well.))

Amneiger flipped open a book on ... the sword industry? Looked like it; tables and charts about revenues of katana producers, estimates about the popularity of different types of longswords. Might be interesting. If he could find out what kind of weapons an attacker would be most likely to have, he could refine the armor for his minitanks ... He put that under his arm and checked the shelf again to see if the author had written anything about other weapons. Maybe something about armor as well.

Keng was about to follow the man when she glanced over at Zarah, "Ummm.. is there something on my face?" she asked quizzically, tilting her head slightly. She frowned a bit as she did so. That odd blank look her friend was giving her was a little unsettling.
