*steals the first post from the old thread and edits it*
EDIT: The new dueling rules:
- Duels will be either three pages long, or seven (not necessarily consecutive) days in which both duelers post, whichever comes first
- If one of the duellers doesn't post for a week (excepting cases where they have a good reason, like a vacation), the last duelist to post will win the duel
- If a duel goes out to its full length, it will be decided by a poll. If a duel thread is started by a mod, it should be a locked poll thread. If not, a poll can be created later
Listen up, mateys, for I've a proposition to make for ya. Ya see, whilst them thar ninja are off in their fancy-smancy dojo training their silly ninjutsu skills, we're just standing around the ol' White Weewoo like a bunch o' sittin' ducks. E'en 'f we do pwn those ninja in e'ery way, 'f they have mor' trainin' than us, they'll have an advantage.
So, me proposition is this. Each one of ya scurvy dogs what wishes to train himself (or herself, we're equal opportunity here) ta fight our mutual foe just needs ta sign this list that I have right here in my hand. Now now, don't come grabbin' the parchment yet, listen ter what it's about, first. Signin' mysterious papers is never a good idea... fer all ya know, ya could be volunteerin' to scrub out the bilges.
Just what's on this here paper then? It's a sign-up sheet. ^_^ But don't go runnin' yet, it's not fer cleanin' the bilges or anything of the sort. It's fer signin' up fer the new pirate trainin' that we're holding. Ya see, all o' us could use some practice in the fine art of duelin'... and it might liven this place up some more.
Sign the sheet here when I'm done talkin', and I'll assign ya to one o' yer crewmates to duel. O' course, we're not playin' fer keeps- all weapons will be necessarily dulled fer yer protection. It's never a good idea ta kill each other durin' training, I say.
But, be warned- if ya sign the sheet, yeh'll be expected ter duel. Yeh'll get to agree with yer partner about the time, o' course, but yer can't back out. There's no punishment fer not signin', of course, except fer the talk of yer fellow crewmates. And who wants to be known as the only one what chickened out?
I'll put the sheet right here in front of ya, and get out of the way quickly so ya can sign. I'm sure ya wanna...
*places sheet on table, then flies up to the rigging to watch*
The sheet reads:
Huntress (accepts re-match with Jill)
Fenrix
Jill (requests re-match with Hunty)
Kat
Goosh
Keng
Leah
Cyborg (requests a fight with Goosh)
Fire
Ikkin
The sheet is now full. There's a little space on the sides where yeh can add yer name if'n yeh really want ter, though.
* Signups will continue until next Monday, the 21st of May, when I will randomly select pairs. The reason why I'm only giving you so little time is so that people don't lose interest. Hopefully, the duels themselves will start sometime next week. If anyone joins after pairs have been made, they better hope that there's either an odd number of people without them, or someone else joins late.
