Oh, we had a voting, back when the guilds were re-opened, between me and Rider. She won, and that's when she took me as her apprentice. And then she fell into inactiveness, and I had to take the post until, well, she came back and promoted me xD That's the problem with the guilds' format, fixed ranks mean that the big important noses can suddenly drop off the face of the earth. And the meepits don't vote >< Would be nice if they did, but they're all anarchists.

No, it just means they don't believe in leadership or structured government. To vote on a leader would be contrary to their beliefs. Correct me if I'm wrong hunty but I think it'd be more accurate to say they're disintrested in the process because no matter what they'll continue to do more or less whatever they want.
Besides, if we let the rodent armies vote Zylaa would win even if she didn't want to be captain, I think at 200 she has the largest host of minions. Then the squirrles and meepits would go to war more likely than vote civily... so yea, it's assumed that the one who 'owns' them (I say owns with caution, it's not exactly ownership, more association...) speaks for their mob. Think how there are elected representatives who speak for the people of certain cities/provinces(or states)/whatever.

Eyup, that's exactly it. Paradoxically, they could vote, because actually it doesn't go against their beliefs (see, being anarchists, their point of view is that nothing goes against their beliefs - if they allowed themselves to be restricted by the rules of anarchy, they wouldn't be anarchists any more, and we'd probably be all devoured in a big black hole of oxymorons as a result xD) But they tend to go by the rule 'we'll do whatever's easier'. Which is a paradox in itself, 'cause it's a rule, but they conveniently ignore it, 'cause it's easier that way xD If all this didn't melt your brain, you get a muffin. And yes, I'm not sure why exactly my meepitgang sticks around xD I definitely don't own them. I think it's mainly the case of them being used to the current situation, and seeing no reason to change it.
