Hey can I be Swabby or even assistant cook if echo wants one. I'm already the swabby. Though mind ya, you are newer to the crew than I am, so I suppose typically that would bump me out of the position. I'm willing to share duties though But I'm head swabby!

You can join the swabby crew. You can be my underling swabby along with cyborg.
I'm gonna become a swabby dictator at this rate. Mwhaha! That should be my title or something XD
And remember folks, there's always the option of just being a part of the crew, where you're rank is basically just sailor, or pirate or whatever.
Or you can all keep signing up for swabby and my army of deckswabbers can flourish and take over the ship.

I would like to run for lookout because I spend most of my time on the sails.

I'd like to run for Powder Monkey. I'm sorry Keng but I'm trying to move up through the ranks.

The whole ranking thing has always been a bit whatever-suits-the-situation here. I was the quartermaster for a long time simply because nobody else was doing it and someone had to do it and I took the rank myself x3 Then I became Rider's apprentice and thus the vice-captain, but kept the rank of the quartermaster 'cause nobody else was still doing it. Not particularly sure how the current situation works, with me being the captain and all, but if nobody else takes the rank, I'll go Jack Sparrow and be at the wheel myself. Other than that, I always found the "yell at the nearest person to get the task at hand done" system rather effective x3
In other words, pretty much all the ranks are flexible and people can move on the rank-ladder upwards, downwards, sideways, diagonally and inside out :3 Except the captain-position, 'cause this is where you guys have a certain stripey-haired chick with a three-foot acidic crossbow and a gang o' rabid meepits >>
