The Korbat hopped off the barrel and sidled sidewards, to avoid the cracking tree. "Yer quite th' odd one, missy," she said with a grin, "Not a good idea to be givin' yer money to a bird fer safekeeping."
She turned to the others. "And if we all be in the business of introducin' ourselves, th' name's Komori."

Elycien listened, the discussion starting to pique her interest. "Stealing a ship, eh?" she murmured. "Well, I suppose that's how things are done around here." Her ears swiveled to face the group, and she walked past slowly, tail twitching, in the pretense of going to order another drink, but stopped and leaned on the nearby tail as if in idle curiosity.

"Nice gang ye have here," someone's quiet voice remarked. A girl stood up from a small table that had been in a darker, shady corner. She was wearing a white shirt but the rest of her clothing was pitch-black - even the dagger sheath on her belt and the streaks in her blonde ponytail. The girl took a few steps closer.
"Planning to take over a ship and don't even know what yer up against, aye?" she asked with a vague grin. "This beauty ain't easy to steal. It has more guards than ye think... and for a good reason too..." her grin got a bit wider. "Then again, I may be able to help ye out a little. Y'see," the girl nodded at the huge white-sailed cruise ship, "I work there."

"I'm Zylaa," said the girl as she relaxed. Nobody seemed to be threatening her anymore, and as to how she would get out of this... well that could come later. "Spelled Z-y-l-a-a." Though I doubt these pirates go in for spelling much, she thought sullenly.

"You're stealing that?" murmured Elycien, dropping all pretenses and looking in awe at the ship. "I wouldn't mind... I mean... maybe I could help you out a little," she added shyly.

"I'm Keng and, ..." she did a neat little swing and landed away from the creaking branch which seemed to perk back up in relife at the relinquishing of the weight, "..fyora knows I'd never give a sheal to that bird for safe keeping. No, Scallywag likes to play jokes ya see. Responds very well to the orders 'grab' and 'eat' but horrible at 'give'."

Komori eyed the dark figured newcomer with suspicion. "Well, doesn't she look like the shady type," she whispered to Keng.
Then aloud to the dark one, "Ye want t' help some strangers take th' ship yer a crewmember on? Wouldn't that be... mutiny?"

"I can get those sailors off that ship in a flash," said Kat idly, holding up her palm and waggling her fingers, creating a small purple flame. "See, I be sorta a mage too, not just yer run-o'-the-mill wench-lady. But I guess ye already see that."
She glanced at the girl with the streaked blond ponytail who had claimed to work on the ship. "Hmmm...can ye keep a secret? Maybe ye don't hafta go all mutiny on yer crew for us t'get it."

The girl glanced back at Kat. "But ye'd hafta know where the guards are and how many there are, aye? And ye'd hafta know where to find the captain, a thing or two 'bout a few secret doors that are perfect fer unexpected attacks, that kinda things. Not to mention some smaller rooms that shouldn't really be blasted with magic. Too... valuable, y'see?"
She leaned against a table and glanced at the Korbat. "Mutiny? Depends how ye see it... that's what I do fer living. Get aboard a ship, work in the galley fer a few weeks, learn about the ship's cargo and guards, then one night - poof, hey, that black-clad wench be gone and I can't find me silver rings anywhere." The girl chuckled quietly. "Gotta admit that a pirate's life sounds less troublesome though." She gave the whole crew a short glance and the grin reappeared. "Let me in yer crew and ye don't hafta worry 'bout any secrets."

Amy nodded setting down her bag on a table nearby - she had brought some food and it might be good for the crew when they get the ship. She fished out a loaf of bread, a couple of fish which she'd caught at the habour, a flask of water and finally a small bunch of tomato's stolen from the town market.
"Before we get on the ship - if we suceed in stealing it - I'll grab some food from the town market. It'll look to suspicious if I'd be lugging a large sack everywhere. So.. I'll get it before, aye?" she said, eyeing the others again.

"Don't you think it's a bit stupid to be talking about all this infront of me? I mean, all you know is my name and that I have a pet bird, I could go off telling the authorities on ya'll for all ye know. Honestly, with that sort of caution you're not going to get very far. I mean look how many people have already overheard this conversation. Who know who else might of heard something and not come forward." Keng rolled her eyes as if all this should be very obvious.

Ikkin looked at Keng. The girl had a point... "We probably should be a bit more cautious," she said, "but, it's not like we know anyone else much better. I don't think a one of us had more than a couple of coins in our pockets and a single weapon before we met. And, if you've got nothing to lose, it's worth it to take risks. Besides, while I haven't been here all too long, everything I've seen suggests that most people and Neopets don't much mind our sorts." She shrugged. "So, would you be willing to become a member of the crew? Your acrobatics suggest that you'd make a fine pirate."

Rider stared at Huntress with fascenation. "An' how do I know ye won't be betrayin' us the same way?"
She paused. "Actually, Ikkin be right. We have nothin' to lose. To a gel who already lost it all, a prison cell would at least guarantee food an' shelter. Can't say I take too kindly to the hempen noose, though, so if'n ye will be betrayin' us, let it not be to Meridellian Law."
"Lass, I await yer advice an' good counsel."

The streaky-haired girl looked at the crew. "Face it, mateys, none of us can trust the others right now. We're all equally suspicious here. But it doesn't matter... if we manage t' take that white beauty over tonight, the authorities can run around here as much as they want. She's one of the fastest ships in these waters and fer a reason - she may look like a normal cruise ship but as I've heard, the royalty of Lost Desert has been using her to transport gold to the kingdom of Maraqua - secretly, ofcourse. So we'd get a ship and a load of shinies with that."
The girl paused to think for a moment. "Ye mentioned a diversion here a while back. The guards on the deck would fall fer that pretty nicely, then ye could all get aboard and take down the guards inside the cruiser. How many an' where thay are... I can find that out as soon as I step aboard. I have some ears an' noses there." She smiled. "By th' way, thay call me Huntress. I'm a galley wench. Fer now."

"A multitude of diversions could be usefull. Scallywag is a magnet for mischeif and could help quite nicely, and, well, people flat out don't enjoy it when a werewolf shows up on deck." she grinned widely at the thought. If ever she was bored a few good memories of her favourite practical joke was all she needed. Especially since most people didn't stop to think about it when she sprouted ears and a tail in the middle of the day. "Oh, and I suppose I should be sayin officially that I'd be happy to help."
