HAHA, that's awesome. I was considering adding the Evil Mastermind Guide's system where the button that says "do not press" showers anyone dumb enough to press it with bullets but I thought that might be problematic >.> ... I also decided against a self destruct "button". Instead a code needs to be implemented via the main control console and it's supposed to be hard to do, and impossible to activate accidentally.

Hey, say I was going to randomly jump back into this... can anyone give me a summary of what's happened/happening?

[glow=red,2,300]Keng, that link in your post kept me busy for quite some time. ... Srsly.
if DA was working for me, I'd show you I've a history of doing this crud. It's probably in Sammy's scraps.
EDIT: Bacon, honestly, I don't know if anything has been going on in Spacefleet. If it has, it's been awfully quiet. ^_^ Now's a good time to jump back in, yes.[/glow]

Well, I'm captain of my own shuttle, and a commercial flight wouldn't necessarily require someone to be the captain. Well, when you're on a plane, they always start out with "This is your captain speaking..." But I guess it's just semantics at that point. If it's your shuttle, you could just as well call yourself Supreme High Lord and Floobadup of the HKS* Ludicrous. No one could stop you. * Her Kenghood's Ship

I was considering calling it the SFS Ludicrous, (Space Fleet's Ship) but that would be inaccurate as technically it is a privately owned vessel. But with just 2 people they can pretty much jump to the fleet when they're ready. I'll try not to drag out my own trip to much longer even though I am quite excited about getting my first real RP opportunity with my new ship. Hmmm... I should find a way to get Keng's ship blown up later so she can buy a new one of the same model and rename it "The Sea Turtle" "How'd you..." "The Sea Turtle(s) mate."

I mean... the ship HAS escape pods/shuttles enough for everyone. And there are plenty of other buttons that still need to be pressed >.>

Looks like Hunty got to the reference first. Anyway, yeah, there doesn't seem to be much happening at the 'Fleet. *pokes her post* Although you never know when something might come up…

Hmmm... I should find a way to get Keng's ship blown up later so she can buy a new one of the same model and rename it "The Sea Turtle" Or you could just make a convenient excuse to rename it for no real reason. Y'know, kinda like I did in GW2.

S'why I fought tooth and nail against renaming the Weewoo back when it went black-n-spiky. Ships are renamed only when they change owners (owners, not captains.) Flags, most often. If a ship goes under new ownership and/or a new flag, it can be, but isn't always, renamed. Renaming a ship without a reason is pretty much something you Don't Do in maritime terms. 'course, all that applies to ships that sail on water. I don't think there are any real precedents for spaceships xD

[glow=red,2,300]I thought you did that 'cause every single name we spat out was completely foolish. ^_^[/glow] Ship names tend to be a little on the cheesy side by default xD The cruiser my dad worked on a while back started out as the M/S Viking Song. Was renamed four times - changed owners four times - and is currently called M/S Regina Baltica. A Black Beekadoodle (or Beekawoocifer) would be a real burst of fresh air in our harbors. Nah, but as long as a ship stays under the same flag - the Roger in our case - she's not to be renamed. Otherwise we might as well climb up to the crow's nest in the middle of a storm and yell that all gods are bloody idiots. ...and here I'd managed to go over two weeks without Pratchett references. Whoot.

I thought that the Weewoo actually did change owners sometime during or before GW2, though? I refuse to take the Stal-Rider squabbles seriously xP That, and technically speaking it was management changes in the same company, not actual ownership change in today's terms. She still remained a pirate ship, with the same flag and the same crew, no changes in the route or purpose or anything. (Which is why ships are renamed with ownership change in the first place: to make paperwork easier. Clean sheet, so to say.) The one time she did change owners was in the very first RP when we commandeered her. Prior to that, she was a man-o-war of some little army I can't recall at the moment and was called the Cloud.
