Belle smiled at Ginz and Warlock. "Thanks for the welcome." She looked down. "Sorry but I kind of ah, brought a lot of water in with me."
At the sound of another girl's voice, Belle turned to look at her. "Hello there, Kathy. I'm Belle. I just arrived." She directed her look to include all of the people in the room. "So...can you guys point me to my room? Is there a list of room assignments?" She really wanted to go to her room and get some rest. After all, tomorrow was going to be a big day. She needed all the rest she could get.

Hu slapped herself. She'd fallen asleep. She could have snucked around the manor to find more about these so called mages who she had lurked around. There were creatures that lurked in everywhere in the manor. She could have been attacked; defenseless. Why, she /was/ like a dinner plate with the sign 'Please eat me' over her! She was relieved that she was in her shadow form, because otherwise she would have been awaken to the rude of awakening of some gargoyle trying to munch on her toes. Reluctantly, she resolved that she would have to make an appearance to the others, and quickly changed to her human form. She sat down on the ground, closed her eyes, and crossed her legs.

Elycien woke up, and for a minute she was disoriented, thinking she was in her room back at the Castle. With a jolt, she realized where she was, and smiled. I smell breakfast.
She dressed herself quickly and went to go explore.

(*attempts to revive this so the guild doesn't stay dead*)
Ikkin sighed as she walked through the portal that her phoenix Sev had opened for her into the worldlet where the Manor was located. She didn't really have any form of instantaneous transportation, so she had to rely on her summon to take her from world to world. But that wasn't why she was late. There was a much more interesting reason behind that.
It seemed that there was a monster that had gotten loose that could travel between worlds, and Ikkin had taken some time to track it down and defeat it. Once she found it, she realized that it had come from the Mage Manor's worldlet. Unfortunately, finding the monster meant that she was a day later than she should have been... but, with any luck, she'd still have the chance to investigate. And, if people responded to their invitations, a chance to practice her magic, as well.
Ikkin sensed some strange energy coming from the inside of the large manor house. It sort of felt like an energy signature that had always been there, from the creatures who made the manor their home, but much more powerful... almost as if some of the seals that held the creatures in check had broken. Perhaps that might have something to do with the monster... and, if not, at least she could meet any newcomers to this worldlet.
She came to the door of the manor and, finding it open, let herself in. She could smell breakfast being cooked- perhaps the guests were eating breakfast. She entered the dining room, hoping that there would be others there who she could talk to.

Echo slept in, sprawled in an unattractive position on her bed. Suddenly, she sat up, yelled "PICKLED MONKEY'S FEET!!!" and then curled up, snoring peacefully.
Little did she know that her air bending-laced snores had blown all of the other furniture on top of each other.

(Thank you ikkin! *lol*)
*he drops to the ground below his window, some 3 stories down. Luckilly, the former residents of the herb garden, a rather agressive vine-like species of carnivorous thorn, had previously surrendered to the frequent morning onslaught of his boots, and had relocated themselves to a different garden bed.
He yawns and glares back up at his window, a few shadowy fingers of the Creatures shift around the ledge* Missed again *he smirks smugly and steps off the garden bed, onto the grass and he freezes. Slowly he looks down at his boots and his eyes go wide.. the grass, every single blade is trembling.. as if in fear* What on earth-? *he raises his eyes to the building behind him and hesitantly rolls up his sleeve. He places his hand against the trembling stone and whispers his question aloud* What are you afraid of...?
*he flinches as he draws his energy inwards, feeling it flow invisibly from every part of his body and focus into his palm.. he focuses it steadilly into the mental equivilant of a diamond needle before driving it into the wall of the manor itself with a silent crackle of black-red energy.
There is a moment of complete static silence, like the roll back of the sea before a tidal wave.. and then the manor strikes back at him, sending with it brilliant flashes of memory and being. Painful rapid shots of soundless colour and emotions. And with it.. an image of a stirring menace, a beast, a monster, that turns on its haunches to snarl at him from the shadows of the manor's very existance. He gasps and drops his hand away, the images stop flicking through his mind and for a moment he simply stares before turning and running towards the doors*

(( Is it okay to join? I love RPs, and I was overjoyed to see that the Mage Guild has one, but I certainly don't want to do something wrong. If I step out of line, feel free to shut me down. ))
The morning light shone through the curtains. Sage opened his eyes blearily, staring out the window and seeing the light stream in. "Ergg... must have fallen asleep reading again..." he muttered to himself. He was still dressed in his clothes, green cargo pants and a red, hooded jacket that came down to his knees. His face was pressed against something-? Sage picked himself up off the desk and stared down. He had fallen asleep on Eureka! A Study of Ancient Magical Advances. The page was crumpled where he had slept on it, and yes- Sage glanced at a mirror- the ink had blurred and left half a page of text on his face. He sighed, but decided to clean it off later. For now, he was interested in finding a copy of Weem's Novice of Time in the library, and seeing if he could maybe learn some more about time magic.
He stood up, stretched, and headed for the door. Remembering to say, "Squibble," as he passed (the door had a habit of locking itself if not fed nonsense words every now and then), and walking down the corridoors. Mage Manor was a great place for a student like him. The Great Library contained more important books than he'd ever even imagined possible, and he was determined to read every one of them.
He padded down the flagstones. His nose told him that it was breakfast time, and there was bacon cooking somewhere, and he resolved to find the kitchens as soon as he'd gotten his book. He took the stairs to the library, remembering to hop the last step, the one christened "Gator Stone". --- He was in the library, walking amongst the huge shelves and forbidding books, when he felt it. A presence. Something odd, hostile, moving amongst the shelves...
He readied a small ball of lightning in his hand. There were nasty things in the Mage Manor, but hopefully a quick ball of thunder would deter a passing gargoyle or chinthin lizard from making a meal of him. But somehow, Sage felt worried... this wasn't quite right...
He heard the thundering footsteps behind him and turned. Down the hall, charging at speeds that were practically beyond the human eye's comprehension, was a thing...
Sage had just enough time for his brain to register one, blurred image. His voice came out in a strangled cry- "Help! Something in the libra-"
Then the unknown creature sprang, slamming into his head and sending him reeling into a world of unconsciousness.

(Perfectly fine to join. ^_^ We could use some new blood... j;) And don't worry about it, you're certainly not out of line)
Ikkin found it odd that no one else had decided to go to breakfast by the time she finished her own meal. The was delicious, far better than what she had grown accustomed to out on the open sea as a pirate, and surely someone should have grown hungry by now...
No longer distracted by food, Ikkin studied the air currents for signs of magical disturbances. From the condition they were in, it seemed that most of the guests were still sleeping. Odd, perhaps, but not anything to worry about. In the library, however, there was strange magic, and a second magic source seemed to have vanished. That was something that would need to be dealt with... maybe someone had run afoul of one of the magical creatures who lived in the Manor... or worse.
She flew to the library as quickly as she could, using her air magic. There, she saw something that stopped her cold for a second- some sort of monster was standing over an unconscious guest! Her heart in her throat, she ran forward, slashing at the monster with her sword to make it back off. If one of the guests had died... She shivered, then checked the other mage's pulse. He was alive, just unconscious. He'd need to be taken care of, though... she couldn't just leave him here with the monster.
Now that she was no longer so concerned for the guest, Ikkin turned to look at the monster. It was long, serpentine, and covered in dark green scales that shone in the light, with very short legs and a long tail, and it seemed to have decided that it would not be denied its meal by a single sword-strike. Not one of the ordinary Manor creatures, who could be vicious if they were mistreated, but were normally safe... this was a manifestation of what she feared- a monster formed from the strange energy in the Manor. And a monster it was- it dashed at her so quickly she barely had time to react, slashing once more with her sword and tossing the monster aside.
The strike, however, did not have the desired effect. The monster's scales formed a strong armor, and the monster was unharmed, just stunned. This might be harder than she thought...
The monster struck again, but this time, Ikkin was more ready, and summoned up a strong wind to blast it backwards into a wall, then throw several of her air-pressure darts at it. Perhaps the scales were less resistant to magic... When they hit, however, the darts also were turned aside. The monster wasn't even stunned.
Deciding that further fighting would be dangerous and likely useless, Ikkin picked up the guest and flew off before the monster could recover. She closed the doors of the Library soundly behind her so it couldn't get out. Perhaps she could gather a group of mages to take down that threat, at a time and place where no one who had not agreed to danger could get hurt.
She brought the unconscious guest to the infirmary, then used a trick of the air to make her voice louder in an announcement to all. "A mystery creature has been found in the Manor and a guest has been injured," she called. "Do not be afraid, just come quickly and orderly to the door of the infirmary so we can decide what to do about this new threat. And whatever you do, don't go in the Library until the situation is resolved!"

(( Uh... that was... weird... ))
Sage's eyes slowly opened on hearing these last words, and he groaned for a moment. His head felt like it had been cut apart and then stuffed with cardboard, then sewn together with a rusty knife and three yards of rope.
"Uhn... what happened? I remember this... thing..." he muttered. He was lying on his back, on one of the infirmary beds. He looked up, and noticed Ikkin standing over him with a concerned expression on her face. "Eh... thanks for getting me out of there, Ikkin," he said, grinning weakly. "What'd that thing do to my head?"
(( I'm basing this on the assumption that Sage has been a guest at the Manor for a week or so, and therefore knows Ikkin, Warlock, Echo, and anyone else who was already here. I hope we can revieve the guild, to a certain extent, but... meh. I think people's interests have turned elsewhere... ))

"I'm not sure exactly what happened," Ikkin said, still worried about her guest... Sage, his name was, she remembered. "You were unconscious by the time I arrived. It seems like your head was slammed hard into something, maybe the floor, by some lizard thing. It's not one of the normal Manor creatures... that's about as far as I can tell, though..."
((Well, I thought I'd just arrived, so we probably shouldn't know each other, but I might as well go with that. As for reviving the guild, I'll try to look into reminding people about it. Maybe they just forgot to check it, when there was nothing going on.))
