I volunteer to be entertainment. I could do my pretty rainbow mini-fireworks and such.

*waves hand and jumps up and down enthusiastically Me! Me! Pick me! I have patter and everything!
*ahem* Step right up, ladies and gentlemen and undetermined! Today, for purely your benefit and your benefit alone, I'm offering just what you've always dreamed of, the prize over that rainbow. Taxidermy! =D Yes, for a limited time only, I will help preserve your treasured friends. Did you lose a dog? A goldfish? A politician? Within a few short hours, they can be stuffed and on your mantelpiece! (Mantelpieces not included. Only while stocks last. Actual resurrection or reanimation extra.)
... Well, you try to think of something helpful for a necromancer to sell. >.>; Also Fred is offering to serenade people, for a fee, of course. He's getting rather good at guitar.

=D Life!!! When I joined this guild, nothing was happening but the ninjas/mages RP thread, and was WAY too far in for me to just pounce into XD Anyways. My mage creates various animals out of "mist", though they interact with objects as solid animals would (except, they can dissipate into people, but only if they're told to. Usually.) So Tiger could probably offer various temporary animal-themed services; a horse for a busy day of errands, dogs to sniff things out or guard them, possibly various animals to practice fighting....and anything else people can think of =) Edit- Okay...I actually read the Guild Shops thread XD Didn't realize exactly how it was going to work, so if the stuff above makes no sense...that's why. Anyways. Perhaps we could sell small, one-use spells in scrolls or bottles or something? Like a fire spell in a bottle, or a one-use scroll that allows you to strike an enemy with lightning...or a bottle of mist that will turn into a temporary, animal ally of your choice when opened .

Healing potions. =D Who needs band-aids when you have shiny magic? ^_^
... As a healer, that's all I can think of. XD

Earlier, I proposed the idea of candy with magical effects to Sarn- Harry Potter-ish, yes, but I can think of nothing more fun than proposing the effects the candies have- like gumdrops that make your nose change color every thirty seconds. =3 It's touristy, magic-y... Fun to make up... And, in my opinon, I think they'd be fairly popular.

Why don't we trade in left over magical things left over from the Guild Wars? I'm sure we can find enough pieces of the gem from GW2 (If there aren't any left, we can improvise. >>) to sell as souvineers. We could also make animatronic figurines that operate using magic as they could be fun. If that fails, we can resort to the most basic form: voodoo (to sell of course!) As for services, I could deliver messages or act as a fighter/air mage. If anybody also has dragon problems, they can be fixed easily too. ^_^ Not to mention my services as an artist but that is inside the guild.

Go with the Fred and George-esque idea. Open a magic candy/souvenir shop for tourists.

I edited in some of your ideas and I'll get to the others later. I love Vapor's idea of the sweets and Cele's idea of GW crap, but this isn't my shop, its everyones. If you're unhappy with anything, please tell me so we can all discuss this and I can maybe edit and whatnot.
Also, I went and put some of you in the 'hire a mage' section, if you don't want to be in there, or would like to change your services or put in an advert, just gimme a buzz. <3
Vapor, that first plushie image you sent me, who is it? *ish so freakin' blind*

...we could have ... discussions on the nature and laws of magic? Ways to integrate it into life? That's sort of what this is about. Well, it's about how little things, like cycle of the moon and time or year, could affect your magic. Even though I put it on the sign up thread for lessons, it's more of a discussion. It only got to the third page before dying. *looks at store* I might draw up same gems and such later. And you could ask Keng if you can use you plushie of me that she drew for GW1. As for services... Hmmm... Elements and such, I don't have a specialty. However, I do a lot of stuff with energy and auras. So let me at something with an aura, magical or natural, and I'll do my best to identify, or track it for you! I can also embue* things with energy, or drain it from them. *Not enchant, imbue. To what extent depends on what I'm imbuing.

*pokes* Uhm...hey! It looks like the other guilds are getting setup with the new format. We should probably start something ourselves…If people are busy, is there anything I can do to help?

Ikkin is still the Archmage. Unless we want to have a leadership vote like the other guilds, I feel we sort of have to wait for her...?

Hey, sorry for taking so long to show up. ^^;
The Archmage title, as it stands now, is really just an honorary thing. I'd prefer to keep it - but only so I can avoid the Archmage position having too much real power.
Which is basically to say, that all decisions in the Mage Guild should be made by the members, and not dependent on the Archmage.
On the other hand, I was planning on writing up a post about Mage Manor to put in the Lore sub-board, but it's been taking me a bit longer than I thought it would since I'm working now. ^^;
