I know I'm new but the guilds as a whole seem rather inactive. Apart from a few RPs, nothing much goes on as far as I am aware so I thought I'd help it along a bit.
The problem with that is I don't yet have any ideas and this is where you come in, wonderful Mages with huge brains in your heads. Brainstorm!

Well, sometimes the guilds are dead, especially when many of the guild members have more important things to do and there aren't any new guild-type activities around.
Guilds are at their most active during the Guild Wars (GW) RPs, wherein a massive number of guild members jump into an epic RP that is so epic that I need more epic terms to describe it. RPs tend to also be more active at the beginning, when foundations are laid and characters are introduced. Sadly, interest tends to wane as the RP goes on and people must keep up with more of the story, especially when one is required to leaf through more pages (even on the OOC thread). But it depends on the structure of the RP, the number of people in it, and said people's non-guild obligations (ex. classes >_<)
So if you're this desperate to kick-start the guild, try thinking of something new for us to do. ^^

Having a non-RP activity would be awesome. =D Tomorrow is my last day of school before break, so I'll have more free time to think of one for us. ^_^ Preferably one that doesn't take the same level of involvement as RPs do, so busy people can participate too. =3

I'm going to poke this because I want to reinstate my membership in the mages guild, and also because no one else seems to be poking it even with all the talk of reactivating the guilds.
So here we are. Mages. Someone else please say something, because I wanna be active here again. I like you guys.

Sooo. Ideas ideas ideas. Um. *grubs around in thread* Our main activity seemed to be magic lessons. We could find a way to reactivate those, maybe? Personally I wouldn't participate in that at all, because I like my character's level of magic as it is, but in-character-ish, we could have ... discussions on the nature and laws of magic? Ways to integrate it into life? Ideas for how to make levitating toadstools?
... Yeeah. Ideas aren't really my forte.

Well, Fraze has asked me to set up the Mages shop for the Guild Shop Wars (thread on main guilds board) so if you guys have any ideas for items/services we as a guild could render, just speak up here! I'll start the thread in a moment and keep it updated as new ideas come in.

Magical artifacts, potions, enchanting weapons for people, magical pets. This is all theoretical for me, though, as I'll be representing Mercs in shop wars... XD also, if we ever get an active RP again, I'll be happy to provide Mageri again ... though, of course, very much changed from their original forms, as I mentioned to PFA a few months ago. I recommend plushie forms of various mages- I want a Celestial plushie! D= And a Sarn one, too.
How about cheap housecleaning spells/ other various small spells that could be sold in trinket form to those who can't preform magic? Like... Like an enchanted feather, for example, that could enchant laundry to fold itself. *brick'd for not coming up with a better example*

I've put some categories up in the shop and filled in the Books one. I was thinking, with the scrolls, gems and the plushies too, maybe the artistic mages could draw images of these? They don't have to be spectacular or anything. xD As for the other categories, there are plenty of Google images out there, but if anyone is bored and would like to, they can create an item for us to sell.
Also, could we have some mages volunteer their services? I'm a fire mage, so I'm going to put myself up in the waste disposal category, as well as a fighting mage. =D You guys can offer any service you like, just let me know.
