"So, um, what exactly do you need?", Salah asked. "Would making a section of the hall completely dark be good?"
"... Actually, you don't really have to do anything but wait. I'm almost completely recovered, just give me a minute or so", Subila assured.
"The Mageri are outside, too," Omni clarified. "Are you sure you couldn't get a similar recovery rate outside?"
"I'm selfish about my recovery, but I'm not that stupid to risk you all just for me to recover", Subila answered. "Besides, I have to settle unfinished matters with someone", she added, refering to MGA. "... And giving him away to the Mageri would stop me from doing so."

MGA, making sure that he still had a layer of his second cloaking spell on so that no one would sense his full potential, told Subila, "I think you're going to have to wait- It doesn't look like we're going to have time to duel."
To answer Aly, he had to ask the vapour to tell him. He then formed an orb of mist out of the air, and gave it to her. "...This will lead you to the restroom. Be quick; we don't have much time and will probably leave the moment you and Subila are done."

"Of course you know I reside in - what was her name again...- Aly's shadow and will be dragged by her to wherever she goes, right MGA?" Subila said.
A moment of silence followed.
"... Actually, forget what I've said", she said with an unnoticed smile.

MGA muttered something. He had assumed that Subila would rest in someone else's shadow after- Apparently, he was wrong. And he was certainly not going to forget it- People should be allowed their privacy, despite things. He also doubted that Aly wanted to use the restroom for it's purpose. Then again, he supposed, it was Aly's choice.
"Well, Aly? Are you going to let Subila go with you, or do you want her out?"

"Actually", Subila interrupted. "... As long as I'm not in my complete recovery, I won't be able to step outside my resting shadow. In short, you can't just pull me out." Of course, that all was a bluff. The half-feline just wanted to stir up trouble among the mages. That way, more dark energy will be attracted, and she will have less time needed to recover just in case she'd get drained out again.

"Okay, maybe this isn't exactly getting us somewhere," said Kat, absently glancing up at the ceiling. "The time we use hanging around here could also be used by the Mageri to formulate better plots to get a better hold on the Manor. Can't we just split up or something?"

"Very bad idea, Kat", Subila said. "I'll have to agree with Omni: it'll be hard to fight the Mageri in our condition, let alone splitting up the group. Besides, either Aly has to force herself to wait before I finish recovering in about... twenty seconds, or I'll have to unknowingly seize her privacy", she added. She giggled a bit after finishing her last statement.

"I can just make a shadow connected to Aly's for you," Salah protested, making a rough patch of darkness behind Aly. "Or if it needs to be a person's shadow, they could just stand next to her for a moment."

Aly shook her head. "Thanks, guys, but I'll be fine." And with that, she ran after the little orb of mist MGA had conjured. The bathroom was all too far away--sprinting, she reached it in a few turns of the hallway. She just hoped she could find her way back. "Alright, Subila," she said aloud, examining the bathroom. It was fairly fancy and elegant--not very surprising, considering it was a manor. "I don't really care if you really need any more recovery or not. Just shut up and don't talk." With that, she summoned the last bit of fire magic she had around her hand. "Lika, out!" It's about time. Aly whirled around as a tawny cat shouldered its way through the door. You are slow, aren't you? "Shut it," Aly growled. "What's my middle name?" Skysong. Although, if you had to make one yourself, you could have chosen a better one. "Good." She folded her arms. "Now, answer this...WHY HAVE YOU BEEN FOLLOWING ME AROUND THIS WHOLE TIME?" She glared, fists clenched. "You wanted me to go on my own. I told you to stay home." I got bored. "You could have showed up instead of stealing all my magic, you idiot feline." The tawny cat yawned, her emerald eyes glittering. The familiar was larger than the ordinary housecat--about halfway to panther size. That wouldn't be fun. "I ought to fry you," she muttered. I could just let you faint right now. Aly killed the fire on her hand. And I thought you were into action, not talk. Lika sniffed the air and growled, hair on end. There's dark magic here. Aly rolled her eyes. "That's Subila. If you've been following me around, you'd know she's an ally." So far, she added to herself. I have been wandering outside this manor since you came. I finally figured out the magical signature lock and used your magic to get in. "Fine." Aly stepped forward and grabbed the cat by the scruff of her neck. "Now, give me back my magic and we can go." Later. "Now. The Manor's under attack. I need it." You need to learn to survive without me, Lika said, amused. She flicked her tail and pushed out the door. Aly glared after the cat. "Subila, you wouldn't know any way to torture familiar cats who are resistant to fire, would you?" she asked, following her familiar and sighing. "This will be awkward," the girl muttered. ((XD I got bored and decided to bring Lika in. Basically, she's Aly's more sensible, annoying counterpart. And a storehouse for her magic. Sorry for the bad post.))

"But maybe..." Elycien hesitated. "If we did split up... if some of us went out and some stayed in, we could probably trap them from both sides. Especially with the Manor's magic to help us." She paused, thinking hard. "I know. Is there any place in the manor that... well, suppresses magic?"

MGA frowned for a moment. In response to Elycien, he said, "...I don't think we have enough strength to trap them if we split in half. The fact that they managed to get in means that they somehow either commpletely avoided the wards, or managed to weaken or destroy said wards."
"As to magic suppresion, I don't think so. It would probably be good to have one for next time, though, and training under magical suppresion would be good. I'll tell Ikkin after this is done." He paused. "If your plan really needs a magic suppresion room, though, I think we might be able to make one."
"Though, I personally think it might be more prudent to trap them in the manor, then attack from outside? That way, assuming we used magic to block all exits except the main one, and we attacked from said main exit, the Mageri would have no way to escape, and we could close in on them."

"I was just thinking... if we could round up those still inside, we could trap them in a room like that so they couldn't escape... then go outside and finish off the rest." She smiled. "If we snuck up on them, they wouldn't expect an outside attack like that. They'd think we were all still in here."

Subila wasn't expecting what she was seeing. Another cat had just appeared from the bathroom and it seemed to be connected to Aly somehow, judging by how the conversation between them went.
"Subila, you wouldn't know any way to torture familiar cats who are resistant to fire, would you?"
Subila smirked. The sound of the word "torture" gave her the excitement she needed. "I can put the cat in one of my dark cage... but that would be traumatic for it."

((Oh, yeah. Allianne herself can't really detect magical signatures, but Lika can. Lika's like her sniffer dog. ^^)) "I can put the cat in one of my dark cage... but that would be traumatic for it." "Not this one," Aly said, grinning with a bit of a smirk added to it. "She'll probably find a way out sometime. Might as well say it now, as she's probably going to brag to the whole world..." The fire mage sighed. "Lika's not a normal cat--she's my familiar. I think you heard me say we were supposed to be separate...wait." Aly stopped. "Did you hear her speak?" The cat had a tendency to speak to Aly only, or other beings like herself, but other mags weren't that uncommon... She shook her head. "Doesn't matter. Anyway, why she decided to follow me, I have no idea." But I doubt it's really boredom, she added to herself. I've never been near this many mages at once, Lika remarked from ahead. Are they all your friends, Aly? "All the ones inside here, yeah. I told you, the Manor's under siege." Aly quickly caught up to the cat. "And you're going to explain why I'm traveling around with a mind-speaking, huge, sassy little annoying cat, 'kay?" If you say so. Lika yawned as they rounded another corner, and found the rest of the mages talking. "I was just thinking..." It was Elycien speaking. "If we could round up those still inside, we could trap them in a room like that so they couldn't escape... then go outside and finish off the rest." The Thirecat grinned. "If we snuck up on them, they wouldn't expect an outside attack like that. They'd think we were all still in here." Hello, all. Lika's curt greeting extended to everyone gathered in the hallway. Aly groaned. She wasn't sure if she was hoping no one would notice Lika, or if someone would kill the darn cat and be done with it. "What are we talking about?" the fire mage said quickly.

Subila looked as if she was actually concerned about Aly and her familiar, as she was quiet the whole time. "Well, if you want to keep this between the two of us..." she whispered, "... it's fine with me. I'll keep my mouth shut."
Hiding things from those who would eventually try to search for it was for the greater good for herself: the action would really add up to the commotion that might happen. However, Subila actually felt different about it. She realized she was doing this for Aly: a thing a creature of the darkness would not even bother to think about.
Fully recovered, Subila started to reform herself back to her human form, but now wearing a worried face.
