"May I assume we're not hiding our magical signatures anymore?" the Zafara--Omni--questioned. "That little fight there was probably enough to alert every magic-sensing mageri in or on the Manor." "Screw the magical signatures," Aly said, eyes narrowed at no one in particular--well, possibly a certain two mages, but no one else. The chocolate eyes glinted in fierce anticipation and determination. "I don't think we're exactly hidden anymore, especially not since Kat and Ikkin have been raining down on the Mageri outside and Surf and I knocked out that group. I say, let's get it to a fight and do it fast."

Aly turned to Surf and asked "Can you do something about Subila if this gets out of hand?" Surf replied, "Yeah, I think I can do that."

"Thanks," said Kat, watching the kitten meow as MGA gave some of his magic to help her keep the kitten outside a little longer. "Can we start tracking down the Mageri now? If you guys want, we can continue that fight later on, when the manor isn't in danger."

Subila watched as her box of darkness dissipated, and dropped down on the floor gasping for air. She had never experienced having a limitation to her own energy, and the feeling of tiredness scared her a bit. Nevertheless, the half-feline irked as the other mages gathered around them.
"... I can get my own energy back...", she said between gasps. "... Just let me reside into one of your shadows for awhile... I'll rest on your own spot of darkness..." She could've just asked for them to vent their anger on the Mageri so the Yin could recover faster, but she could sense no negative traits from anyone. Beside that, they had enough time for her to recover even using only the slower method of her recovery.
"... I can't help you with the feline, Kat", Subila added, still irritated at the sight of the kitten. "Dark energy has negative impact on anyone except a creature of the darkness. In this case, the feline might go out of control."

Elerin continued to try and lead the way, concentrating hard to remember the way he'd come through the mazelike passages. Suddenly he stopped short as the hallway split into two directions, glancing down both of them and unable to remember which was the right turn. Elycien stepped forward then, putting her head around the corner, and then turned right. "It's this way, I smell fresh air," she called over her shoulder.
((yay filler! XD))

MGA frowned for a moment. Wasn't the kitten supposed to lead the way...? Then he decided that the kitten would do its job when they were outside. Shrugging to himself, he followed Elerin and Elycien.
Not wuite knowing where Subila was resting, or wanting to expend energy finding her, he simply muttered as he walked. "...I guess we will have to settle this later."

"I wouldn't want you to use dark magic on the kitten, anyway," said Kat, shrugging. "He's made up of mostly light, with touches of fire." She turned to see Elerin walking away. "Hey - where are you going?"
The kitten meowed loudly, and trotted away down a corridor, the opposite way Elerin was going.
"Wait!" said Kat, this time turning to the kitten. "I think we should split up or something. Unless Elerin's looking for something or someone else besides Mageri."

"I think..." MGA said, thoughtfully. "That while Elerin is leading us outside, the kitten is just leading us to the closest Mageri. So the closest Mageri is there..." He gestured to the kitten. "While Elerin is leading us outside to fight the Mageri."
"I think we should go out, though." He frowned slightly to himself. "The Manor has protective spells, and it's easier uf we can stop more Mageri from entering the Manor... Then we can flush the remaining Mageri out."

Omni sighed, and pondered which direction to take. "Well, if we leave we can take the time to study magic, and recover our magic," she looked over the group, thinking about how around half of them were low on magic, "and come back later when we're stronger. However, we'd also be leaving behind a lot of resources that the mageri could potentially use.
"If we fight, we would be protecting those resources, and the Manor will still have someone helping it. Though we're in a pretty vulnerable position here. We're not very skilled, and those who are are low on energy. And personally I don't know any offensive attacks, I just have some magical defenses."
She paused. "I could go either way, but right now I'm leaning toward leaving for now and fighting later." While she was pondering, she also had her crystal stop taking more of her magic than usual. Her aura extended around her, and she could more easily feel the magical energies nearby.
((Running could also give us an excuse to use the magic lesson roleplay thread))

"Retreating sounds like the best idea to me," Salah said, her voice both scared and relieved. "We don't really have much of a plan for fighting as a group; we should plan while we can." She stopped dead for a moment. "Um, no rhyme intended..." Salah added in a more or less inaudible voice, embarrassed.

"I wouldn't want you to use dark magic on the kitten, anyway," Kat said to Subila, shrugging. "He's made up of mostly light, with touches of fire." "Fire?" Aly asked, interested. "Maybe..." she trailed off and groaned. With luck, she'd be able to defend herself from other people. Lending anything of worth to Kat would probably knock her out as it was. "At least I don't rely on my magic alone," she muttered, fingering the handle of her dagger. She wasn't going to use her bow, not until she'd rested. She wasn't sure she had the strength to pull it. Dang it, Lika, where are you? MGA mused. "The Manor has protective spells, and it's easier if we can stop more Mageri from entering the Manor... Then we can flush the remaining Mageri out." "Not good," Aly retorted, irritated. "It's the ones inside that worry me. It's not the inside of the Manor that has the protection." "I'm going wherever the Mageri are!" Surf said eagerly. The fire mage grinned and nodded. Fighting with Surf was fun. Omni spoke now. "Well, if we leave we can take the time to study magic, and recover our magic," she looked over the group, thinking about how around half of them were low on magic, "and come back later when we're stronger. However, we'd also be leaving behind a lot of resources that the mageri could potentially use.

The zafara paused. "I could go either way, but right now I'm leaning toward leaving for now and fighting later." "I don't take lessons," Aly muttered. "And I don't study. You think I listened to some old, pompous 'wizard' with a beard you can use for a mop to learn what I know today? Heck, no! And sitting on my butt and twiddling my thumbs...I can't." Even if her magical reserves were low, she couldn't help but think that the Mageri might find a way to attack them when they were recovering. "Retreating sounds like the best idea to me. We don't really have much of a plan for fighting as a group; we should plan while we can." "We need a plan for fighting as a group?" Aly asked, leaning against a wall. She rubbed her temples with one hand--why was she so dang tired? She wasn't using any spells, was she?

"We need a plan for fighting as a group?" Aly asked, looking surprisingly unconcerned.
"Well, I mean..." Salah stuttered, taken aback by what seemed to her a dumb remark. "We're fighting people who are supposed to be really dangerous... Don't we want to be as well prepared as we can? It's not something to be taken lightly."

((Was I just insulted? ^^)) "Well, I mean...We're fighting people who are supposed to be really dangerous... Don't we want to be as well prepared as we can? It's not something to be taken lightly." Aly shrugged. "Well, what would we do to plan? You know that if you try, everything's going to be chaos and nothing will go as planned."

"What do you mean?" Salah protested, feeling stung. "Of course it won't all go right, but we need to put our heads together and get an idea of who can do what and who can work together, so we don't get in each other's way. It's the most efficient thing to do."
