Saioka realized it was her turn to go at the target again. Positioning her lance, she galloped at the target and managed to get a hit fairly close to the bullseye.

I waited silently after the girl had gone, allowing Cill to go first.
"Whatever you do, don't look away," I said quietly to the other girl. "This is going to be hilarious."
I stifled a laugh as Cill raised her lance up-too far-and had the side of the lance hit the target instead, the sack twirling around and caught her on the back. After her horse took a few steps, Cill lost her balance and fell off the horse.
I felt a rope of anger threading along our soul-bond, though that was the only emotion I could detect. I'd probably feel the embarrassment in a little while, though right now I could only hope that the younger ones were not within hearing distance of her rather colorful language.
Still chuckling, I took my turn and got a bit above and to the left of the mark. I kept riding on fine, though, after the sack hit me.
"Need some help?" I asked Cill politely as I passed her, still trying to get on her horse.
"Get lost!" she growled at me, hucking a rock at my face. Luckily she'd been forbidden to carry daggers around after she'd opened up a squire's arm for attempting to send her on an errand.

Saioka said, 'You two twins?' Duh. Well, she had to ask anyway.

"Yeah. Part of the reason she was allowed to become a page. Even with the ladies of my family being good fighters, Cill's the first who applied to become a knight. My family was pretty unsure about it, but eventually our soul-bond won out. Unfortunately." I sighed. "The only thing she's really good at is working with her dratted longsword. You saw her on that horse, and you can only be grateful you don't share a magic class with her. You know she summoned a fireball in class today? She was supposed to light a candle!" I couldn't help but chuckle at the memory of the melted blob of a candle and the look on the master's face.
"You laugh at me one more time and I'll shoot you!" Cill warned from the other side of the field where she'd walked her horse away.
I grinned again. "As you can see, Cill has a rather bad temper. I'll give you this warning: never, and I mean never, play a trick on her. She darn near killed me last time I joked her."

'Longsword? I can't handle the things...' Saioka muttered, 'I'm better with shorter ones.'

"Yeah. She's the only one in the entire family who can use one." I shrugged again. "She thinks that the short swords we usually use aren't long enough to have a decent fight with. True, your reach isn't the best, but when you've got two short swords while your opponent's got a broadsword, it's an easy match."
I cocked my head to hear a bit better, and grinned. "Lunchtime. See you in the dining hall!"

'Ahh, lunch!' Saioka said. Galloping Shadow to the stables, she quickly unsaddled him and brushed him down before galloping herself off to lunch.

I walked into the dining hall, glancing around for Cill. I could feel her nearby, but I couldn't see her anywhere.
Shrugging, I took a seat at the page's table. There were a couple of empty seats beside me, and most of them filled up, except for the ones on either side of me, and I saw people shooting worried looks at me. Did they think I was Cill, or were they afraid that I had a similar temper to hers? It was interesting to see how they looked at me.
"Hey, I'm not going to bite you," I said jokingly. A bit of tention eased, but no one took the empty seats. Shrugging, I dug into my meal.

Morien frowned as she came back and found the field deserted. She sighed; going to the washroom always lead to being left behind. She quickly got her horse put away, and ran into the dining hall. She grabbed a meal and began to look for a seat. She saw two empty seats beside the boy Saioka and she had been talking to. She sat down and looked at him. "Hey. Didn't catch your name ... I'm Morien."

Saioka grabbed her food, and, spotting an empty seat near by Morien and the boy... she hadn't caught his name. She sat down, and said, 'Hey!' before begginning to eat heartily.

Morien saw Saioka eating like a maniac. She laughed. "Hungry?" She grabbed her own fork, and stared long and hard at it. She laughed and put it back on the table. "I like finger food better..." and started eating her meal with her fingers.
