"I can't help you. I only know a few people in this area, a couple and their daughter and granddaughter. The granddaughter is an only child, around your age. I am sorry." Rhei said, turning her back to the girl once again.
Well... At least Stimoi is safe...for now. I need see if those people on the path I saw are still there or not. The guard thought as she easily made her way up a nearby tree.

She looked back towards the distant village...she had a feeling that the woman hadn't told her everything. Looking around, Enna hugged the baby close and started to run off towards the village... |

Enna watched the woman walk off. She sighed. NOW what was she supposed to do...? She looked back towards the distant village...she had a feeling that the woman hadn't told her everything. Looking around, Enna hugged the baby close and started to run off towards the village... The young guard turned to make sure the girl hadn't gone off towards the village. She sighed. Why did young'uns listen? Rhei jumped from branch to branch, trying to catch up with the girl. Making little progress, she dropped down to the ground, running after the girl holding the babe. While she was running, she brought the wooden conch up to her lips, placing her fingers in just the right places. The sound vibrated through the forest, birds startled from their trees. There was a second call, not from her conch, following that; the message was spreading. Having finally caught up with the girl, she cut her off. |

Rhei rolls her 'r's)) "I can't. It'd be going against my code... I was sworn to...to..." Rhei looked at the girl straight in the eyes and stopped herself. If she said anything more, surely the girl would go to Stimoi as fast as she could? "I can't tell you, and I can't let you go any furthur." She said, getting ready to fight if she had to...even if the girl had a babe in her arms. |

If she said anything more, surely the girl would go to Stimoi as fast as she could? "I can't tell you, and I can't let you go any furthur." She said, getting ready to fight if she had to...even if the girl had a babe in her arms. Enna looked straight into the woman's eyes too. "Fine, I won't go. But you've got to help me. I need to find this baby's parents, and that's the only village around. Please help me, please. If you don't I'll go over there." |

She stood there, staring at the baby, looking as if she was about to cry. It was surely possible that the parents were dead; after all, her's were...but what was she supposed to do with the baby? Sighing, she took one last look at the woman, and started walking off away from Stimoi. |
