Lina shook her head. "Then it's not what I'm looking for, and I haven't heard of it. I'm very sorry."

The stranger's words shocked me. Moon Tribes were scattered all over, even in Icewind Dale, near Tentowns. How could this person not know of them? But if all she knew was peace, than why hadn't she at least been shocked by the giant jaw marks of the werewolf that covered my cheeks?
My hands flew to cover my face when the other person spoke. One shock today was bad enough, but if I had to fly away on top of that?
As a precaution, the air behind me turned black, with little white specks of light covering it, like map of the night sky. The dots of light grew, until there was no darkness left. When the light faded, my metallic violet wings were spread behind me.

Gabrielle shot a confused look at the second person. "Why are you covering your face like that?" she asked. "I don't care what you look like, you know. Appearance isn't all."

Lina nodded. "Appearance is only the outside form. Inside is a person's true value. That's why I don't care what you look like - even though you appear to be one that many hate."
She wondered why no one commented on the fact that she still had her cloak wrapped around her...

The words sounded truthful enough. Slowly, I lowered my hands, but froze after bringing them down only a couple inches. Looking past the newcomer in horror, I stared at the Watch who had just appeared.

"That's strange...I knew someone who looked almost exactly like you..." Gabrielle said, still looking at the now winged person.

Lina noticed the first person's shock, and spun around. "Huh? What are you looking at..." She broke off as she noticed the figures.
((What's the Watch?))

((What's the Watch?)) {Waterdeep is a very well-governed and orderly town. The Watch is the Town Watch, who happen to pass by practically every street in the North Ward (rich people place) every twenty minutes. Divide that time by four in the Castle Ward.}

*oocly wonders what happened to everyone*
ic: "What are they?" Lina asked. "Are you afraid of them? See... I've never been to a large city before. All the places I know... well, the people know each other. This is so different."

Thinking quickly, I stuffed my hand inside my belt purse until I found a magical ring.
"In case you haven't noticed," I told her, putting on the ring, "I have blue skin and white hair. The only people who have blue skin and white hair are the members of Moon Tribes. Moon Tribes are the absolute worse type of Elves around, short of Drow. The man over there is a member of the Town Watch, someone who walks around arresting people for doing things wrong. Since Moon Tribes are known for doing wrong things, that puts me in line for being arrested, regardless of whether or not they see me actually doing something wrong," I explained, examining my now brown-tinged skin of a Forest Elf, and checking a lock of my hair. Green. Perfect. Nothing odd with a Forest Elf and a few Humans lost on their way through a large town, was there?

Lina nodded. "So... so are you a Moon Elf? I mean, I don't have any problem with that as long as you don't do anything.... evil." She brushed back strands of her red-tipped hair and glanced back. "Those rules should be changed, don't you think...?"

"No, I am not from the Moon Tribe. I merely resemble one, and that makes getting around here a pain in the rear. There's assassins left and right out to get me," I told her.
"You there, by the fountain! What's your business?"
"Nothing, sir!" I called. "Me and my companions are simply lost. Would you happen to know the way to a certain village, would you?" In an undertone, I asked, "What did you say the place you were looking for was called?"

"It's St. Marina." Gabrielle whispered. She looked at the Watch and forced a grin.
