((Okay, I'm sorry, but I won't be able to put Brandon's dream in the actualy comic.  Nobody actually knows much about Haroo, and nobody actually sees his true form tell much farther on. And also, Haroo is quite a serious evil soul, he wants the sword, not much else, (except more minions to help him) so I highly dount he would spend his time torturing someone, just for laughs. That's more of a Shadow Lord kinda thing to do... And just so you know, the Shadow Lord is never REALLY beaten. He's one of the main villains. Truly sorry! I just drew the Shadow Lord's second form in a very INTERESTING way, and I can't wait to have a better scanner and photoshop to show you. He looks really cool! Dawg... I was hoping he would last longer then THAT! Whistle, whistle, whistle... *waves evil pencil and four more Scales merge from the ground* Whistle, whistle, whistle... I decided to make more then one. ;D)) "What?" The ancient beasts cry out the same battle cry. "SWORD!!!" Jan fights one beast, and it's quite the even match, until another on comes charging at him. Clay jumps towards that one, but the invincible beings they are, he was able to do nothing. They smacked him aside. He lay on the side, and one shoots a beam to his gem. The grey starts flashing red. Mist surrounded him, making it impossible to see near him. (we all know what this means, now don't we?) Scales, being the dumb galoots they are, just discovered this power. They all shot these beams, aiming only at the possesors of gems. (I think this is where you're supposed to "dodge") |

((Question... Would the mist be able to penetrate Challo/Obrai's electrical shield thing?)) The mist doesn't do anything to anyone... It's just part of the effects. The beam that the Scales shoot at the gems is what makes them evil. IC: The mist cleared, and there was Clay, baring fangs, wearing ancient armor pieces on his thighs, over his chest, a piec on the top section of the arm and one on the bottom, and ancient armor boots. His gem was now completely red. The Scales commanded him to get the sword, and he marched towards Jan. |

I leaped to the side when the beam of light came at me, landing at a roll and coming up to my feet.
"darn it!" I whispered under my breath. "Why me? Why couldn't my wings have come by now?"
I ran towards the nearest golem, sword outstretched. I got into range and swung my sword down at it's leg...
Only to discover that I was holding nothing. I groaned. The five minutes must be up.

"Think, Jade, think!" Jade muttered under her breath. The gem sword was going to be in the hands of Haroo if she didn't do anything. If only I could make a replica of the gem sword... she thought. An idea came to her mind, and hoping it would work, she concentrated to her hardest. A sword almost exactly like the gem sword appeared in her hand. "Hey! Clay!" she yelled. "Is this what you're looking for?" she waved the fake sword in the air.

And when I attacked him, he just laughed and I got hurt. Me + black background = perfect. Second: Who ever said we killed Shady? Third: I wonder if I can live through that torment of Scales... |

Kae was sitting cross-legged on the ground, eyes closed, taking deep, shuddering breaths. Her calming attempts weren't working. She couldn't be the warrior she was with the thought of... well, the thought of these enemies and people with powers.
Not me, she thought. I'm not like them, I'm normal. They can't see properly, maybe. And I'm just seeing things... I mean, it can happen, right?
The loud screams made her open her eyes. "Not again," she muttered. "I thought Brandon already destroyed one." She looked back to see one person attacking a being, and that water-girl holding a sword and yelling at a warrior. So many of these people... She couldn't be one. They must know of all of the possible beings...
Or something like that.
Although it did look like trouble. Mist was rapidly surrounding the area, and she was finding it hard to see. There were four of those beasts... It probably would take two people to overcome one - and that left one space open.
Could she help? Would her help be needed and appreciated?
"I'd need supernatural powers, and that I don't have," she muttered. "No matter what they say, I don't. Besides, even if it was true... Who said I'd be able to use them... I could be some kind of healer, or whatever, keep people from dying..."
Keep them from dying....
It couldn't be possible......

Jade saw a golem shooting a beam at her gem. She dodged it fast enough for it to miss her gem, but not enough for it to miss her whole body. The beam cut a slash on her right arm, and it started bleeding. "Not good. Definitely not good." she said looking at her arm.

Clay kept on walking to Jan, who was slowly stepping back. A Scale head for Jade.
((I'm going to scan a rough scetch of a scale at my friends house. That'll give you an idea. I decided to make different types of scale. Most shadow things are weaker, and work for the Shadow Lord. I'm making a whole group of ancient armor creature, thinking about giving Haroo control of some sort of ancient city or something like that... Where his temple is))

"Oh no you don't!" Jade cried, ignoring the pain coming from her bleeding arm and shooting a tunnel of water at the golem. As with the Shadow Lord, it didn't work. She slowly backed up as the golem advanced. It sent a beam at her gem, and this time, she didn't dodge it. Her gem turned to a reddish orange, then to blood red. The golem ordered her to attack Brandon, and that's what she did. He was soon soaked from head to toe. Jade repeated the action again and again.

Kae had been watching the fight, debating whether she should help in the attack, or protect those who couldn't manage in battle. The water girl's sudden change of action attracted her attention. She was... attacking Brandon? This wasn't right at all!
She stood up and ran towards her. With one hand, she reached around the girl's neck; with the other, she punched her in the back of the head.
Her jewel had changed colour...
Maybe the punch would turn her normal again.

Jade's gem turned darker red, and she managed to pull Kae's arm off her neck. She attacked her with another blast of water.
