Yaaaay, I finally got myself a legit copy of AJ <3 XD Soyeah, as I've mentioned before, I bought myself a "used" copy of AJ a while back, played it for a while, and eventually grew suspicious of its legitimacy for various reasons. (Like its abnormally long save times for one.) We tried contacting the seller about it, never got a response, and eventually reported it to Amazon and got a refund. And, apparently, my mom got me a shiny new factory-sealed copy for my birthday. <3 Huzzah! On the left is my shiny new AJ, and on the right is the shady one. Note the squashed logo on the latter and the increased shininess on the former (which made it hard to get a good picture actually). But yeah, the shiny new one generally seems to run more smoothly than the shady one did. Most notably, it doesn't take half a minute to save. XD Whoo, now I can play the game without worrying about whether or not it's legit~ *bugs Omni to play 4-2, since she hasn't played it, 'cause I wanna get back to 4-3 and see how it eeennndddsss*

H0mG look at the logo on that thing. XDXD That's exactly the kind of thing I was asking about when I asked if the logo looked funky. XDXD That sure is shady. I doubt they'd let a game go out like that with a misprinted logo. I'm glad that you got a legit copy. <3 4-3 was awesum. *biased* XD

'Course it's a lot easier to notice when you've got a legit copy to compare it to. Finished 4-3 yesterday, whoo. It was one of those things where it was like "YAY I FINALLY MADE SENSE OF IT ALL" and then I was watching Omni play through the first bit of it, watching for the mysteries that now made sense, and half of it was like "wait was that explained?" Oh fridge logic~ On a side note, I remember I was playing through the case in question and I came to that one trial where we were watching the music video over and over again... and there was this one part where the video paused and the bottom part of it (under the dialogue box) looked all glitchy and weird. :B I took a picture too, it was kinda oddlike.

Yeah, it makes sense, but the way the characters fridge their logic through the thing so it can happen the way it does is quite wut. XDXD
Go back a page and take a look at that "objection" I linked to. You should find it pretty humorous now. XD
The video is supposed to pause like that, it's an effect to make it look like a paused video tape. XD

XD It's rather twistedly lolwhut. Oh yeah, I've been meaning to do that. *goes to look* ... XDDDDDDDD That is so true. SO TRUE. And yeah, I thought about that, it just looked kinda odd is all. XD Probably would've looked better to me if the weirdness wasn't all at the bottom and was a little more scattered throughout the whole picture.

Just finished 4-3, myself. So getting a cocoon out of the country is illegal because you can make poison from it. But what about the medicine itself? Why couldn't they just send that? Does it go bad? Did they just not consider it? ...What?
I'm also a bit annoyed at how they had it so... *suddenly forget his first name* Tobaye, the kid was just in it for the money. Just theorizing that that's the motive? Yes. Needing money for a good reason? Yes. Doing it mainly to help the Chief Justice's son? Yes. But otherwise... Ugh!
You know something funny? Toward the end, they couldn't prove that he wasn't the killer, but they couldn't prove that he was, either. So... He's got to be the murderer because he's the first person you accused?
I'm also wondering why the fact that Tobaye's shoulder wasn't hurt wasn't brought up.
...And PFA, what was that pretzel plot twist you were talking about? ...Well, while I'm here, I might as well sign up. Dunno about a nickname, though. Needs pondering. Oh, and I'll randomly note that grape juice is not my favorite drink, unlike a certain piano player.

I was also wondering why they never explained why they couldn't just export the medicine itself. Perhaps the Borginian government wanted to keep it (the whole information about the coccoon and poison/medicine ) secret? It was just never explained.
Machi being "in it for the money" wasn't even fully explained, so we're only left to wonder why he needed the money, if that was even the real reason. Maybe he wanted to get money for an eye operation for Lamiroir? We can only guess. Until it's revealed, I'm blaming Daryan. >_> <_<
Yep, that's just the way the legal system works. They address the issue of their crummy legal system in the last case.
Machi not being able to fire the gun without injuring himself yet somehow he still did it = Fridge logic legal system.
Machi Tobaye is one of my favourite AJ characters. So adorable. <3 As plot holey as his case was, I still enjoyed it by not thinking too hard. XD Plus Watching Klavier catch on fire during the concert was the best part in the entire game. <3 There are other cases that have "wut" moments, too. During Ema's testimony about the Darke stabbing, she says Darke stabbed Marshall in the chest. BUT that clearly contradicts the autopsy report, which says that Marshall died from a single stab wound in the back.
The game doesn't acknowledge that contradiction at all. Turns out the contradiction was that the crummy drawing showed that his knife was already broken!! *GASP* A little kid's (obviously 100% accurate) crummy drawing proves everything! How exactly does Dustin write a name in the sand — with his opposite hand in fancy handwriting — while also having a fatally broken neck!?

...And PFA, what was that pretzel plot twist you were talking about? I think I was talking about the whole Machi-isn't-blind-Lamiroir-is bit, IIRC? I dunno, I was talking about the twists in 4-3's plot more than I was talking about the twists in AJ's plot, anyway. XD Maybe there's a way to turn the medicine into the poison or something? *shrug* Or they're just overly strict, I dunno.
Yeah, my guess was that Machi wanted the money so Lamiroir could get surgery... and there are probably a couple other perfectly reasonable reasons, but I'm not coming up with them at the moment. I suppose he could have been wanting to help the chief justice's son, yeah, but then again would he have had any idea who that was?
...Wait, I guess Daryan could have mentioned it when he was doing his secret plottingz with him or something. ...Come to think of it, how did he do all his secret plottingz with Machi, anyway? They said he didn't go to any of the concert planning meetings with Lamiroir IIRC, nor did he ever go to Borginia. So were there like... secret phone calls or something? And yeah, the people in AA are morons sometimes. <3

Alright this is a double post but But But I just finished 4-4 and I think I need to spazz for a moment Okay, so. I'd suspected that Shadi was Trucy's father since... since the end of case 1, I think. I was even more sure of it the moment I saw what Zak looked like. And I'd suspected Kristoph was the one who requested the forgery. Even if it saddened me because I thought Kristoph was awesome ;__;I'd even suspected that Thala-how's-it-spelled was Trucy's mother. Those twists I saw coming from a ways away. BUTBUT APOLLO BEING TRUCY'S STEPBROTHER AND THALA-LADY BEING LAMIROIRTHAT'S JUST I TOTALLY DIDN'T EXPECT THAT AT ALL WHAT...Andand I'm not even sure what to say anymore. Maybe words will come to me once the shock wears down. ...Phoenix made a mention of maybe becoming a lawyer again in the credits that would make me happy beyond belief

XD I figured out that Trucy and Apollo were related around the time Trucy told Apollo about his percieve ability and said that she had it too. As soon as I saw what Thalasa looked like, I knew she had to be Lamiroir. I knew Kristoph was the "big bad" the moment I read that secret letter. (added from the fact that they showed him in the case's intro movie thing) I didn't like how they never explained why Kris was so crazypants. :< I think we need to thank him for killing Zak, though. He did a good deed. =D Why are my favourite characters always the murderer? >:{ PFA, you need to read this comic now. It speaks the truth. I laughed for a good hour after reading all of the parts. XD

XD Ahaha really? XD Either you pick up on these things really easily or I'm slow. AH WELL the point is it had me staring at the screen in HoMG for... uhh... however long it took me to finish the case and watch the credits I guess. Plus a couple minutes more.
Yeah, that kinda bugs me too, now that you mention it. :/ I was expecting some weird kind of Kristoph-is-possessed-by-an-evil-demon thing, and then in the end I got nothing. Rather disappointing, to tell the truth.
...Oh my gosh. It's so true it hurts. XDDDD

Okay, guys, I'm reading a PW fanfic thats NSFF/NSFW.
I can't post it. Sadness. Let's just say that in part 1 alone Phoenix gets pregnant because of a Demon Tentacle Monster named Gourdy.
Here's the plot(for at least part 1):
