OOC: To know what happened that motivated this quest, read the Tavern RP.
Cyra stood outside of the Inn, the cold breeze of the night blowing past her, drying the few tears she had cried just a moment before. What had happened to Tylvanas was just horrible, and a perfect example of how cruel someone can be.
"That witch, she must have some really serious emotional issues..." Cyra said to Foreigner, her brown horse, while preparing him for the journey ahead. She tried to be as fast as she could, fearing the witch might see her, or try to curse her.
As soon as the horse was ready, Cyra got on him and looked at the door of the inn one last time. She was waiting for Shoni - would she come?

Shoni hurried to the stables and led her white horse, Apollith, out. She gave him a quick grooming, then mounted him. She rode over to Cyra.
"I'm ready," she breathed.

Cyra smiled weakly and commanded Foreigner to run as fast as he could, away from the inn. She headed a random direction, because her main concern at the moment was getting away from the witch. When they were far enough, she slowed down.
"So, do you have any idea where Cloud City is?"

"Not exactly," Shoni replied, frowning, "but I know I've heard legends of it--I think it's towards the north. I can't be sure, though."

Cyra took the map out of her pocket once more and examined it with Shoni. No signs of any Cloud City. "Well, north seems to be our only clue, so... North it is." She directed her horse to her left and kept Foreigner running. OOC: Sol, do you prefer to rush the trip to a random town and ask about cloud city there, or find the info in the woods? Or something more creative?

Apollith galloped after, Shoni clutching his mane.
"We can ask when we meet up with someone," Shoni yelled, "and hopefully, they'll know where Cloud City is. Is that where you hope to find Aruii?"

"I don't really know... He could be there... then again, he could be anywhere, I have no clue where he really is..." Suddenly, Cyra smells smoke. She looks around, and sees flames, not far from where they where standing. as tehy approach the fiery place, they hear screams: it was a small village on fire! [Hey, everyone wanting to join this adventure, this is your chance ]

Shoni gasped and halted Apollith quickly. Not knowing what else to do, she hurried toward the village, searching wildly for a resident of the village. When she stood a few feet away from the village, she stopped.
"Is there anything I can do?" she yelled to no one in particular.

((OOC:Since I have no character to play other than the frozen Tylvanias and Celandra, who is at your destination, I will help you run this RP.)))
The villagers run madly around, as if they had never seen a fire before. Then, a villager runs up to Cyra and Shoni.
"Please! Save our village! If you do, I will help you!" He hands you 5 magical buckets.
"Its magical water that can douse any type of fire, but only a person of magic can use it! Will you help us?"

"Well do you know any one who can use magic?"
The villager replies, "Yes, I know a warlock, deep in the forest. But there is no time. He is too far away. You must use this." The villager stuffed a swirly pendent into his pocket and ran to get more water.

Cyra looked at the villager in doubt.
"Well... I don't know if I could be considered a "person of magic", but I guess I can try." She took one of the buckets and proceeded to extinguish the fire. It had worked.
And with some Shoni's help, soon the fire was no longer. Cyra looked at the destroyed village and sighed sadly.
One of the villagers approached her and said, in a desperate, yet glad tone, "Thank you, oh so much for saving us! Is there anything we can do to pay you back?"
Cyra thought for a while, and finally asked if they knew anything about Cloud City. The villager nodded and asked Shoni and Cyra to follow her.
OOC: Sorry it took me so long to post...

The villager led them to a small wooden cottage, away from the village. Well, near enough to be considered part of the village, but far enough to have kept safe from the fire. She pointed at the cottage and said only "The answer is in there." Cyra walked in, followed by Shoni. It was pretty normal inside, but no one was around. Cyra explored the living room, the rudimental kitchen and the small bedroom, only to discover that the one thing of noticeable relevancy was a big mirror on the wall, with a silver frame. Cyra approached the mirror and watched her reflection. She ran her fingers through her hair and noticed how the reflection copied her perfectly. Softly, she touched her reflection's face and whispered, "What is my destiny?" And then, much to her surprise and Shoni's too, the mirror answered. "Oh, do you really want to know?" The face of a man appeared in the mirror, replacing Cyra's reflection. He was old, but looked wise and had a rather interesting eye color: yellow. "Who are you?" Cyra asked out of surprise. "Is this... a magical mirror?" The old man in the mirror smiled kindly. "Ask me anything - past, present or future - and I'll answer. But I usually don't like answering about people's destinies - it takes the fun out of their lifes." Cyra smiled, understanding why the villager had led them there. "Can you tell us where Cloud City is?" "Cloud City... A very curious city, bursting with magic..." The man looked thoughtful, as if he was consulting his extensive memory. "Listen carefully, travellers, for it is not an easy journey. It will take you three days, at least, to get there. You will need to traverse the Sunshine Mountain to be able to see the city. Look out for the golden cloud!" The old man smiled once more. "Watch out for the Orcs, though, things can get nasty with those individuals." Cyra thanked the mirror, but didn't leave. She stared at the old man's face, wondering whether or not she should ask him another question, one that had been weighing in her heart for a considerable period of time. The mirror was looking back at her, as if he knew exactly what she wanted to ask, and what her dilemma was. He eventually whispered "...it takes the fun out of people's life..." and began to fade. Cyra began to see her own reflection again, through the old man's faded image. "Wait!" She called to the mirror. The image became clear again. The man was smiling once again. Cyra hesitated, gazing at the man's calm expression. OOC: Does Shoni have a question?

Shoni, awed, waited for Cyra to ask a question, but, at Cyra's hesitance, stepped up to the mirror. Her mind raced through various possibilities of questions--questions that might alter her entire life. With a shudder, she finally asked a question.
"How is my family?"
Shoni knew that her family would be worried about her since she didn't return to them after visiting Juri. Although they knew she was independent and not always very reliable, they still often got into a fuss when she didn't follow their expectations. Shoni stared into the mirror, wanting to turn away, but somehow not able to.
"Ah," said the man in the mirror, his ees crinkling with amusement. "Somehow, I think you will be pleased with what I am about to show you."
With that, his image swirled into nothing, and a picture appeared of Shoni's mother, father, and older brother. Her parents were arguing about something, and her brother sat there listening attentively.
"She'll be fine," her father said with finality. "You know she will."
Her mother looked away. "Yes, but I wish she would do as she says for once."
"You know her. She never has. She's...different than us. She's strong. She will be all right."
Her mother was silent.
This picture dissolved into nothing, and then the man loomed into view. Shoni grinned crookedly.
"Thanks," she said simply, and, laughter in her eyes, stepped away from the mirror.
The mirror looked expectantly at Cyra.
"Well?" he said.
