The minikin smiled.
"I am Norina," she told them. "I've been watching you both since you were born. I gifted you, Hannah, with the power to read into the very soul of nature, from mountains down to your little friend there. I gifted you, Leslie, with the ability to sense human thoughts. You are less in tune with your ability than Hannah is, because humankind has shunned you."

Suddenly, a shadow of a tree moves! Actually, a piece of it breaks off and moves towards them. It turns three-D and then into a boy in rainbow colored clothes, shoes, and socks.
"Hi! I'm supposing you're wondering how I did that and who I am. Not in that order: Some call me Wonder, some call me Why. Some call me on a telephone, some call me "Who the heck are you?", and some call me PrincessAngelinaContessaLouisaBannanaFoFannaFessa III. But you can call me Spectrum. Well, it's either the variation of waves given off by our sun and every other star in the universe, ranging from light waves to radio waves to UV waves to gamma waves, not in that order, or it's me! And seeing as I'm pretty sure I'm not any of that, I'm positive it's me!

"I minikin is a small, dainty creature, like an elf or a fairy," she says in a somewhat haughty voice.
Norina pouts. "Don't call me dainty!"

Spectrum presses his nose and a fortune cookie pops out of his mouth. He cracks it open. "Confucious say: Your new aquaintences don't like being given lousy nicknames. Sorry! Whatever...Anyway, since I'm not a minkin, what am I? Oh well.....Back to your problem."
He eats the cookie.
