Leslie's Magnolia jumped off of the tree she had climbed on, following the wolf.
OCC: That reminds me, so was Leslie's cat! Well, off she goes!

The cloud made a strange figure. "I wonder where they're going. Anyway, what shall we do with you. Hmmm... well, for starters..."
The cloud summons some other dark clouds and they start raining on the two.
"Oh, and you can't avoid them, they follow you."

"This is just wonderful!" Leslie screamed, feeling acid raindrops stinging her face as the world enveloped her in an onyx haze. "I was trying to escape, and this is where it got me!"
Suddenly, a blue spark flew from her hair, and the clouds scattered for a second before returning. Leslie heard Norina's voice in her ear. "That's it! Just keep doing that!"

Hannah groaned. She liked the rain, but not acid rain. She put her hand towards the clouds and closed her eyes. Some of the clouds became white and went away, but the rest stayed.

Leslie's anger sent more sparks at the rainclouds, driving half of them away. The remnants seemed to shrink a little.

Leslie growled in frustration. "What is the matter with you, you-you vile creature? Do you think Hannah and I chose to see the stupid orbs? I just want a normal life!"

"But you DID choose to see the orbs. You just did not know it. Hannah did so when she was about to die from the poison, thinking it would help."
"Since when?" Hannah asked.
"Don't make me send my minions after you Hannah! And as for you, Leslie..."
But before the cloud could finish, Hannah held up her hand. The cloud reformed into something that looks like a soda can.

Leslie's sea-green eyes were closed, her long eyelashes catching the filthy rain from the clouds. Suddenly, she shouted in a voice not like her own, "Durandora Ce`!"
The soda can shaped could spun rapidly, dropping pieces of colored glass onto the ground.
Leslie's eyes did not open. "It's not right," she whispered, "No one is this powerful. There has to be someone greater still! There has to be some way!" Suddenly, her eyes opened again, with realization.
"I saw the orbs before. When my father died. But he didn't just die, did he?"

Hannah was trying to avoid the sharp glass, but the glass was piercing her skin, and it was bleeding. Hannah closed her eyes and said a voice, "Shurana Soran Shil!"
The glass started to disappear before it could touch Hannah's skin. Hannah opened her eyes.
"That should protect us from the glass. Although I did not know why I did so. According to my thoughts, I sense that your father is dead, but he did not die, but is suffering in a way I cannot explain."

Leslie gasped. Her eyes, always keen, were seeing the world in a thousand new dimensions. The dark cloud was suddenly highlighted with streaks of glimmering cerulean and gold, and the trees were edged in lacy silver.
"My father was a vessel," she whispered, "It runs in my blood! The power- is it really mine?"
In her mind, she heard Norina's voice utter one word. "Yes."
And suddenly it didn't matter anymore.
The cloud huffed. If it was possible for a nimbus to behave pompously, this one was certainly doing so. "I sense your arrogance!" he hissed. "I will see about you later. Hannah!"

Hannah shivered when the cloud mentioned her name in such a way. The cloud swiveled until it turned into a normal cloud.
"What was that about?"
Hannah had a feeling Leslie would say "I don't know".

Leslie shrugged. "I don't know," she whispered, bemused. "I felt like something important just happened, but I... forgot."
"Just one question. If you knew that I didn't know, why did you ask?"

Leslie jumped as a flash of rainbow light appeared in front of her. Norina materialized and said, "You can do as you wish- keep the power, or return it to me forever. What do you say?"
