What with my growing list of webcomics I read, and since I know there are a lot of webcomic readers out there, I felt like we needed someplace where we could sit down and discuss our favorite webcomics. And thus, the Webcomics Fanclub! Here you can recommend some really good webcomics, laugh over the latest funny update, speculate over what will happen next, and so on. --- Members:-PFA -Christos -Azzie -Bacon -Celestial (Casual Enthusiast) -Zylaa -GLQ -Elycien -Crystal -Rikku -Speck -Omni -Ginz -Draco -JH -Purple --- As a starter question, which webcomics do you guys read, or which are your favorites? Just so we can see what webcomics we have in common, and which ones others read that sound interesting. -Order of the Stick. This one's a fairly popular one so I probably don't need to describe what it is, but I will anyway. XD Basically it parodies D&D with all sorts of reference like "I failed my Spot check," and the more recent comics start into a storyline with gates and tears and... well, interestingness. Click here if you're interested. Note: gets a bit PG-13 on occasion.-Catalyst, done by our own Crystal. :3 Basically it's about these gifts and a blind girl named Kai' and a lady named Elei... and, well, yeah. Click here if you're interested, or at least curious since that description was really vague. -DMFA, AKA probably my favorite webcomic ever. XD It stands for Dan and Mab's Furry Adventures, and as it sounds, it features Dan and Mab and all their friends in their wacky adventures in the land of Furrae, which is a really vast and thought-out world and it's basically an awesome mix of funny and intriguing. Click here to start reading, and note that you can see the art get better as the comic goes on. Note: is a bit PG-13 at times. And the bonus arc, Abel's Story, is filled with blood and nasty words that our forum censors would eat.-Darths and Droids, a really funny webcomic which tells the Star Wars series as if it were a tabletop RPG. And humor ensues. Click here if that caught your attention. -Dreamland Chronicles, about as G-rated as webcomics go. When he was a young boy, Alexander Carter would visit a place called Dreamland in his sleep, where he would have adventures with his friends--Kiwi the fairy, Paddington Rumblebottom III the rock boy, and Nastajia the elf princess. Alex is now a college student, and he hasn't been to Dreamland since he was twelve. But then he comes across an old necklace... click here to read. -Brawl in the Family, a very simple comic featuring Kirby, King Dedede, and miscellaneous other characters from Super Smash Bros. Brawl. Contains a lot of funny, video-game-reference-y jokes. Click here to read. -And my latest addition, Cwen's Quest. There was a girl named Cwen, who's father was a king... but since the father didn't want his children fighting over the throne, he keeps only one child at a time, and exiles the elder whenever they get a younger sibling. As such, Cwen gets booted... only to come back several years later, wanting revenge. Though of course, it doesn't exactly go as planned. Click here to read. Note: contains some language, and some blood.

Oooh, I adore comics =DD Personally I read EGS and Bear Nuts, which are PG=13 if I am not mistaken? Well, they are not ideal for small children anyway.

I'm a webcomic junkie. I'm actually a little surprised I didn't think up this club myself...

I'm not much of a webcomic person so can I join this club as 'Casual Enthusiast'? =3 I read Order of the Stick, the Adventures of Dr McNinja, xkcd (which I recommend, although it does get rather PG-13 sometimes.), Timothy Green as done by our very own Speck and dabble in others.

I shall join! I love webcomics. ^_^ I follow too many to count, but my ultimate favorite is Gunnerkrigg Court, an awesome blend of magic, sci-fi, mythology, and quirkiness. I recommend it to anyone. Inverloch and Phoenix Requiem are good too. I also read OotS, xkcd, EGS, and a bunch more that I've found via Tomgeeks, a site for female webcomic authors. If you get hooked on webcomics easily and you have no free time left, you might want to steer clear... there are dozens and dozens of excellent comics there. My favorite there so far is Lint, a fantasy humor comic that's been swinging more and more from pure parody to pure epic win. I also recommend , a photo comic with lots of fun geeky humor done entirely with my little ponies.
And I'm sure I'll add more to this list when I have time. ^_^

You'd be surprised at how many webcomics I read. *Joins.* I'm not going to post every single webcomic I've ever read, but I will post a few that I frequent. I read OOTS, 8-bit Theatre, Phoenix Requiem, Goblins (warning, can get PG-13), xkcd, PHD comics, and... actually, I can't think of any more. Oh, and I found Inverloch not too long ago; it's a finished webcomic, so yeah. Oh, and Timothy Green. ^_^ Yeah, I read a lot of 'em.

All added. :3 And Celes, casual enthusiasts are welcome too.
Maaan, webcomics have a habit of eating your time. XD; There I was being procrastinative and I pulled out Dreamland Chronicles... and then I sat there for like an hour digging through the archives. Whoops.

I'll join. =DDD I am such an addict. Webcomics I follow: DMFA - furry fantasy adventure comic, which manages to both have ongoing plots AND be hilarious with every strip. =D Highly recommend it! Earthsong - Manga style fantasy/sci-fi story which has just finished an archive-deep redraw, so we're finally getting new material with updates! Phoenix Requiem - I hardly have to mention this, since about everyone here seems to have posted recs, but it's a lovely supernatural/mystery comic in a Victorian setting. Gunnerkrigg Court - A very engaging fantasy/sci-fi comic set in the titular mysterious school of science, Gunnerkrigg Court. It has an incredibly in-depth plot, full of mysteries and answers that keep raising still more questions. I highly recommend! OotS - another one most people seem to have read. This is the D&D parody comic everyone knows, how about that? XD; Girl Genius - steampunk adventure comic, starring a mad scientist heroine descended from a famous family of mad scientists, or "Sparks." Lackadaisy Cats - Updates incredibly irregularly, but it's very awesome - a historical comic set in the 1930s about a group of bootleggers... and all the characters are anthro cats. XKCD - Do I even need to describe this? XD Stick-figure webcomic full of awesomely nerdy gags. Read it. Finished comics that should be read anyway: Inverloch - first comic by the creator of Phoenix Requiem, an excellently-drawn fantasy comic. A Miracle of Science - A sci-fi comic about space travel and mad science, in which mad science is an actual psychological disorder. It follows an agent of the Vorstellen Police, who pursue mad scientists, as he tries to chase down an elusive mad scientist bent on WORLD DOMINATION! MUAHAHA... *cough* ...sorry. Oh, and it also has quite a cute romance between the two main characters. <3 minus - Whimsical, surreal slice-of-life about a little girl named Minus. And, y'know, her magical powers. ^_^

Since I currently have ... *checks* 97 webcomics bookmarked, I'd say joining this club is more or less a necessity for me. xD I second the recommendations for DMFA, xkcd, The Phoenix Requiem, Lackadaisy Cats, Order of the Stick, Gunnerkrigg Court ... and most of the other things listed here as well. x3 Hmm. And Penny Arcade, of course, if you don't mind profanity and suchlike. *checks bookmarks* My favourite webcomic would have to be No Rest For The Wicked, which is basically a story about a young woman who can't sleep, and an eloquent cat, and ... well anyway, it's quite hilarious and rather compelling, and it follows in the footsteps of lots of other fairy tales while still being original. And I'm pretty sure I saw this on the 'Your Favourite Webcomics' thread, but Hero is an absolutely beautiful comic. It's kind of ... surreal and innovative, and it's about 'a perfectly ordinary boy with no memory of the past and no urgency for the future; who one day accepts a most extraordinary offer to travel to distant places and invisible cities.' And it's just generally awesome.

I can't be bothered with links at the moment, since I read so many webcomics, but here's my list. With a quick guide to my ratings, as well. I think I'm addicted to webcomics, guys. (The list that I have here of active webcomics is a total of 87.) E = Everyone, T = Teen, A = Adult The Teen and Adult comics, or anything between those two categories, are usually categorized as such due to language, violence, and/or graphic content. The asterisks before certain comics are my favorites at the moment, even if I enjoy most all of the comics I read. * Gunnerkrigg Court (E-T) * The Intrepid Girlbot (E) - A cute pantomime comic about a girl who also happens to be a robot. * Freakangels (T-A) - A science fiction, post-apocalyptic comic about a group of young adults with psychic powers who destroyed/flooded the world. Follow them as they try to absolve their mistake. This is set in a flooded England. Grim Tales From Down Below (T) Sugar Bits (T) * Dreamless (E-T) - The story of a young man and woman who, instead of dreaming at night, see each other's lives through each other's eyes. Written by Bobby Crosby (Marry Me, +EV, etc.) and drawn by Sarah Ellerton (Inverloch, The Pheonix Requiem) Roza (E) - A girl tries to rid herself of a magical curse. The Zombie Hunters (T) - A post-apocalyptic story where zombies rule, and the few human survivors left live in isolated compounds. Follow a group of infected young adults as they scavenge the wastelands for any usable resources for the compound. Kukuburi (E) - A girl is thrown head-over-heels into a fantasy world, where she plays some major role of importance. (Not sure yet: the comic hasn't progressed far enough.) Skin Deep (E-T) - A world full of fantasy creatures leading perfectly normal lives, secretly living side-by-side in the human world. Fey Winds (E-T) Sister Claire (T) - "Pregnant nun. Holy crap." The Pheonix Requiem (T) DMFA (E-T) White Noise (T) - Post-apocalyptic comic following a young boy who has a white fluffy tail. As We Were (T) - Spinoff series of Sorcery 101. Catalyst (T) - By our very own Crystal. Trying Human (E-T) - Aliens, abductions, and romance. London Underworld (E) Acrobat (T) Juno (E) Last Place Comics (A) - Strip comic. Living With Insanity (A) - Strip comic. Timeloss (E) The Fighting Stranger (T) - Post-apocalyptic world with mutants and humans. A man wanders into town, not knowing who he is or where he came from. The Hub (A) - Centers around a man who suddenly finds himself in an alternative world called The Hub. Nitty gritty, and full of swears. (The header for the comic warns you ahead of time.) *Anatta (T) - Science fiction. About a world in which people can switch bodies, almost on a whim. Very interesting concepts in this one. Harkovast (A) - Rated mostly for graphic violence. It's set in a world where every race is represented by anthropomorphic animals. This world seems to be in constant war with a race called The Nameless. Psychic Soldier Kai (E-T)
I've also got a number of webcomics on my list that I've been trying to get into. I may post them here at some point or another, when I've had the time to dig through their archives.
