Ooh, Krawk Island. I do think that place needs a plot, but the Fyora one should come first, because it makes more sense, coming after Fyora Day.

Yes, I agree. Some people are still angry/annoyed at FW, as I noticed with my friend just today. Another prank so soon would definitely cross the line. And the summer solstice idea is well thought out, but I don't really see how Fyora connects with the sun... Speaking of the Hidden Tower, if anyone writes an article about the potential successors, there could be some sort of greed for owning the Hidden Tower. Or Fyora could just spend her days there as the Hidden Tower keeper or something, maybe even shut it down and create uproar. You guys are forgetting one thing with the upsetting-people aspect. Why was everyone upset? One of the reasons was that they wanted Fae-Wars to be true. They wanted to find the plot but couldn't. I don't think anyone really wants Fyora to step down. It might confuse people, which would be our goal, but they wouldn't go all where-can-I-sign-up, 'cause this event would be passive and not depending on them, seewhatImean? And like I said before, going down the same path and creating a plot for another world would be too similar. Plus it's bound to annoy people again, as they'd want this to be true, and we don't know if Neo is going to have anything planned for that time. We might end up announcing a fake plot when a real one is going on/has just ended. (As for Fyora and the sun, I meant the reign of light. After summer solstice days start getting shorter and the reign of light is over. Fyora's element is light in the TCG game.)

Erm, there could be a "Where can I vote for the candidates?" sort of thing, since it IS an election. No one ever said Fyora would be choosing the successor.
But yes, you could be right, people could get even more confused and angry at NTWF for trying to pull another fast one. But really, what prank doesn't create hostile feelings?
Ah, I didn't realise the connection at first, but now I see it. In that case, it would be a very good reason.

I would just like to point out that having a Fyora themed issue, and then a Fyora prank issue, and then a 300th issue is a little much in just a few issues time. To me it makes since to have it in the Fyora issue even if others will be doing different stuff. Those who already have stuff planned can have an ending note or something saying Farewell Fyora, or something. I'll be up for the consensus though. But maybe we should just start planning this thing up right and then decide exactly when we'll do it an issue or two in advance. :3 With that in mind, lets see who will be in the main political parties running for replacement... and perhaps a leader for each? 1. I think I heard someone say the PPL. Absolutely love that idea. Maybe the leader could be someone from the new game trying to block the pets from going in. We can name him or find out his name. What about the Tombola man running for... the camp that believes in relaxing and hanging out... carefree. What about an existing king, like King Skarl deciding he wants even more power and forces his meridellians into grudgingly agreeing... unless that world is based in the past, which wouldn't work. :/ What about... Defenders of Neopia putting one of their heroes up in the running and they have the common people's vote. Just a few ideas.

What if we create another non-existen place? It can be a theme of the world and its pets, and then we should expand from there?
*hopes that idea wasn't aready taken*
Or maybe since the PPL has a new game we could start a PPL retaliation against Neopians...like a riot or something?
I'm not very good at coming up with original ideas but I try. ;D

*Rubs head* We seem to be getting a lot of "this is a bad idea" and not much of "here's a better one". If anybody can think of workable substitute I'm all for it, and I'd be perfectly happy to wait a few months. Actually, I'm beginning to think I ought to have waited a while before starting this thread, just so the whole thing wouldn't have been buried in "it's too soon" posts. For the record, I never meant we should do anything immediately; I was just putting the idea out there to see what people thought, and in hopes that they'd be willing to go with it In Due Time.

Yeah, I like having all those characters involved, and adding onto that, I think a cool idea would be all the "good" Neopians getting power-hungry, and turning on each other (eg DoN members fighting amongst themselves) in efforts to get all the benefits of the Faerie leader job to themselves. Then Neopia devolves into chaos. CHAOS! It would expose another side to the so-called heroes in the Neopian world, and give them more depth, plus speak to the psychological issues of... Okay, really, I just like the idea of chaos in Neopia.

I love the idea of Neopia into Chaos.
Perhaps the PPL are so busy fighting amongst themselves they decide to permanently cancel the Petpet Award (can't remember exactly what it's called). And the DoN decide they will no longer seek out new foes to defeat, rather they will begin "Battledoming" between themselves.
Anyway, as long as the PPL are included I don't really mind what happens. I really want to develop the character (I used him in my last article for a one line quote) of the Petpet Protection League’s Vice-President’s Under-Secretary. (Hmm..I'm rambling now..)

I don't think 297 would work too well. People would be submitting for 300, and then Droplet would have to balance her holdovers between the issue-300s and the plot-issu submissions. Probably would be a bit confusing.

Let's not forget that Droplet's anniversary issue is 296. I don't know how many people are submitting for that one, but it causes even more of a time crunch. x.x
I've yet to read all the theories here (though I found Huntress's summer solstice one rather intriguing), but I'm quite willing to go along with another prank. This time frame seems tight, though.

Why not wait until after issue 300 to do this prank then? We can put it on hold for a bit until all the excitement from other special issues dies down.

Does it have to be Fyora themed? If Judge Hog's the leader of DoN, can't he be retiring for some reason? Maybe he's getting too old, or he wants to take a vacation for a couple of weeks and the other heroes fight about taking his place in his stead?

Sure, people see him the DoN, but Fyora is one of the most well-known Neo characters. It's better to stick to the more mainstream characters if we're gonna pull off a prank that we want a lot of people to believe.

I even think more people will believe it if we take something not as super-well known as characters like Fyora, especially after the FW prank.
