Thing is, Judge Hog isn't that well known. Sure, people see him the DoN, but Fyora is one of the most well-known Neo characters. It's better to stick to the more mainstream characters if we're gonna pull off a prank that we want a lot of people to believe. I even think more people will believe it if we take something not as super-well known as characters like Fyora, especially after the FW prank. I agree that more will believe us if we distance it from the Faeries, but I don't think Judge Hog would be the best choice.

M'kay, I metioned this idea to Sarahleeadvent, and she told me to post it here, so here it is: How about King Skarl? And the ones to possible take the throne could be Jeran/Lisha/and the rest, King Hagen (because he's Skarl's older brother), Roberta (I think she runs the scroll shop in Brightvale. And I think it was said somewhere that she was Hagen's neice, which might make her Skarl's daughter), Illusen, and any others that can be thought up. Her reply (hope you don't mind me quoting you, if so, nicely thwack me and I can remove it. : Soooo, if we do do Skarl, the candidates for King/Queen/whatever could be: Jeran, Lisha, Morris, Borris, Kayla, Illusen, King Hagen, Roberta, and various other figures of authority such as The Three, the DoN, etc.

Her reply (hope you don't mind me quoting you, if so, nicely thwack me and I can remove it. Don't worry about the quote thing. When proposing an idea, it's always good to have some of details up for consideration right off the bat. Besides, it's nice to know my speculations were worth quoting. Soooo, if we do do Skarl, the candidates for King/Queen/whatever could be: Jeran, Lisha, Morris, Borris, Kayla, Illusen, King Hagen, Roberta, and various other figures of authority such as The Three, the DoN, etc. *Chokes* Morris or Boris ruling Meridell... I think a synonym for that would be 'the end of the medieval world as we know it'. That thought's almost as scary in its own way as the Three making a bid for the throne. Although they WOULD be fun to interview on the matter...

It WOULD be fun to interview them! ;D If we do do this idea, may I interview The Three? If not, that's okay.

I'm not toooooooo particularly keen on the King Skarl stepdown, simply because I'm not a big fan of Meridell. Also, I'm not entirely convinced that any of the "Meridel Kids" would be trying to claim a throne. ... Doesn't seem in character.
And, as an aside, Roberta is indeed Hagan's neice, but doesn't seem to be Skarl's daughter. She is one of the two main characters in The Darkest Faerie game, and not once did Skarl react with any sort of recognition towards her. But she isn't just a scrollery shopkeeper. She's also a wizard in training, and ambassador of Brightvale to neighboring worlds.

Wait a minute . . . Droplet's anniversary is 296? How many years? WE HAVE TO DO SOMETHING FOR HER!!! *wants to be part of some mass thing* Second year. Last year's anniversary had a sort of a Droplet-recognition-issue, which resulted in one comic and two short stories >> I may or may not aim for that issue as well, but seeing that I'm currently working on a 12-part-series and an atleast 6-part comic series, I'll have to do some careful calculating. Can't bend the one-entry-rule too often. And I agree with Komori, Lisha/Morris/Boris claiming the Meridell throne sounds... strange. Jeran would do a good job, but noble knights don't do kingdom ruling, don't force me to attack y'all with my knowledge of medieval literature *studies those things at school* Illusen would be equally OOC. And so forth. Mkay, if we're gonna postpone this baby until July/August or so, then I actually see nothing wrong with Fyora being the focus. It'd be some four, five months from Fae-Wars and completely unrelated to April Fools and let's face it, there are practically no other strong Neopian rulers with delicious-looking thrones. The big Neopian groups (PPL, DoN and so forth) wouldn't drool over a kingdom of spuds or a citadel in the sky or a town in the middle of a desert or on top of mountains or on an island of brain-damagedly happy blumaroos. But the Faerie throne... oooooh the power. Come to think of it, was Fyora to step down, she'd definitely want a Faerie to follow her. How would we introduce those other groups without turning it into the next fae-wars? >.o

Maybe we should just take a poll and have everybody say who they think would work best for the stepping-down thing.

Either way it goes is fine with me. I have ideas for both, anyway, so I'm not too concerned.

yay for poll! I vote fyora. Really, most of the stuff will be focused on the other groups lobbying to take her place. It won't really be about faeries at all. (unless you decide to go with a faerie replacement in your submission)

Er, no one saw the 'evil cackle' bit. *coughs*
*faints* I think Sarah's got it right. I can't IMAGINE those two ruling Meridell... Well, maybe they'll shape up in a few years. *coughs* (Yeah, right!)
Prob'ly. Though why Skarl would step down, I have no idea...I think he has too much fun being king. But that's me. And isn't Jeran already named heir, or have I been reading too many NT stories with that lupe in it? Fyora might be a more believable thing. I say we go for Fyora stepping down.

I started an official poll, so you may vote there >_> I left out Judge Hog, though ° So you may say "Judge Hog" and I'll keep track on the votes, so we can have him as well... I'm online often enough.
