Last night I sat down and just wrote non-stop for 30mins. All I had as far as ideas go is that it started with a Lutari showing up near Boghot. I got 1,389 words in exactly 30 minutes, which means I should be able to get the 1700 per day for NaNo done in 45 min or so.
It was an interesting experience, writing without stopping. A kind of stream-of-consciousness came out, it was very jumbled. But at the same time, I REALLY got inside the character's head because I really needed to be thinking about what my character's thinking, seeing, smelling, feeling, planning to do next, etc.
It would be interesting to try for a longer period of time, like an hour or two.

Like an hour or two, you say, Tashni? Have you never written for that long? I've written non-stop for as long as...five hours, I think. In that time, I was able to write nearly 10,000 words, I think.
What's going to be difficult for me, though, is that i write the fastest towards night and late afternoon. unfortunately, a newly implemented school schedule says I can't write that time. So... I'll have to break out of that habit

Like an hour or two, you say, Tashni? Have you never written for that long? I've worked on my stories for that long, but that includes the first writing, re-writing, editing, spell checking etc. The longest I've straight up written and nothing else was probably 2 hours. My little experiment I posted about was that I really had no idea what I was going to do next as I wrote, which was a different experience for me. Holy Kau!!!! Thankfully, my peak writing time is open to me right now. ^_^ Bummer for you, though. Writing habits are hard to break!

I see the beginning. I see the end. The rest is improvised (with occasional, minute planning). For my NaNo, I know the beginning, and I know the end, so I'm set.
