That's probably because, like shadows, their defence is horrendous. I mean, I broke the 100 damage cap more times than with the previous wave. That and most of their weapons have icons that can be blocked with Sink I'd say these shadows are just perfect to make up for the insane villagers ^_^ On a side note, I need a freezer. Anyone got any spares? Their defense isn't really that bad... though, maybe they're just good against fire and light. *shrugs* They've got Thick Smoke Bombs, though... It's their offense that's rather pathetic. I didn't even have to worry about blocking much, until they reached the 400 strength boost, and I don't even have the 200 boosts.

Awesome pet, Komori!
Delayed reaction, but glee! I'm glad there's finally some BD action in a plot again! Maxed out at 10 on the DTs. Not too shabby. Mr.R has come a long way. Last war, I don't think I even made it to the third wave..or fourth..whatever.
For a freezer - I use a Terror Stone. Used to weasel those last few wins, act of desperation. I use it once, sell it, buy a new one. They do still *poof* on me but not so often that way and not as often as the SoF tends to. I take the NP loss and make it up in stocks later. I'll buy a H4000 one of these days...proably after this plot is over. I'd kind of given up on the chance of war before this plot.

For the last two waves my pet cannot fight. She has perfect health, good hunger, and no sickness. I've gone to the status page many times to try to withdraw her from any fights she might be in but it's not working, she still can't fight. Any help?

XD Honestly, that's been said at least four times in this thread, PLUS it's in the NT editorial this week.

XD Honestly, that's been said at least four times in this thread, PLUS it's in the NT editorial this week. It's kind of understandable, considering how long this thread has gotten... >.> I realized why the shadows are so easy- nearly all of the two more powerful ones use so many dark icons that my Ring of the Lost defends three-quarters of their attacks. XD I beat the Creeping Shadows with 409 HP... that's a nice screenshot... j;D

Wah, the new challengers are hard. Sparkler only has 35 hit points and I don't have a labbie... -_- And I'm still using Scarab Ring and Leaf Shield as my main items. I liked it when the trees did earth damage for my shield to block... I'm not very familiar with BD weapons, and I'm not sure what relatively inexpensive dark blockers there are. Must finish NQII Evil and acquire a weapon from there...

XD I beat the Creeping Shadows with 409 HP... that's a nice screenshot... ROTL (aka "the precious," for obvious reasons) is great against the shadows. Love it! Anyone who has it but isn't using it...USE IT! I got some very nice BD weapons as birthday presents from friends on Neopets yesterday. I also got myself the 200 strength boost. Had to use potions to get it, though. Didn't want to keep zapping, because I'm very nearly at 400 HP. That would mean I'd have to get into the 8 codestone courses at the Training School before I could start training my defense. Not something I wanna do. The potions cost 210k total. Used Essence of Drackonack 3 times. Did nothing the first two times, gave me the 2 strength I needed the third time. It was worth it. I'm now at 80/31/10 on the villagers and 24/70/30 on the shadows. Have yet to do much with the weak shadows...*rubs hands together and grins evilly*

Plus, the shadows don't have a freeze item, which is wonderful.

The Shadows follow a pattern.understand this and you can get farther than usual.Whenever they do a hard hit..the next turn they do nothing so you can give them a berserk..and vice versa..if they did nothing.be ready to defend.with just stone clubs i've managed to send them upto 300hp+..my pets just 234hp..21 def and 109 str *shows off*

Plus, the shadows don't have a freeze item, which is wonderful. Yeah. ^_^ And they're stupid enough to use Rainbow Scorchstone + Thick Smoke Bomb on the first turn most of the time, so they don't actually get the full use out of either of them.

I dislike suddenly having almost three million neopoints and yet knowing better than to spend it on over-inflated battledome training. *sigh* On the bright side, Rinna's still whomping some some serious shadow booty, even though her only assets are a high HP/strength combo and my main battler's fairly mediocre set of weapons.

NOOOOOO! Curse difficulty fifty villagers! How the heck are they stronger than trees anyway? Or solid stones, for that matter?
