Just to let you know, as of this morning, AVG antivirus is reporting the game contains a trojan. It also reported JP2 and JP3 as having one as well.
I am not sure what it's using to detect that, but AVG also reported a proxy program I was using as one earlier as having the same trojan, and the programmer for that had to rewrite the program.
The warning it gives is the program has Trojan Horse Generic2.RRH
Any ideas?

Aerisa reported the same thing earlier today. I posted a notification in the main thread, and I have also added a disclaimer to the Download thread which warns people to scan the download for viruses.
I have scanned the original files on my computer and they are not infected, so it is logical to assume that they became infected when they were uploaded to Leoness' server. We're both taking a look into this problem. In the meantime, EVERYONE who has downloaded the game should scan their hard drives.

Okay, here is my view on the problem.
Some actions made by some programs are sometimes considered malicious by the antivirus software.
Seeing as all this happened today, makes me think that AVG got a recent update (virus definitions or the like). And Generic2.RRH must be one of them.
I've scanned the file with my own antivirus, ZoneAlarm, which is pretty sufficient, and found nothing. The server which is hosting the files, is also clean.
For now, I conclude that the programs are just behaving in a way that makes AVG suspicious. It's just a program after all.
Eg. when I update my Windows at Mircosoft.com, my antivirus alerts me because the installation software is trying to alter some important files.... typical virus/trojan behaviour. But it coming from Microsoft, I hardly believe there's any danger.
The program used to make the game, is also a registered version, so there's no chance of there being malware placed in the game because of some freeware copy.
So as of this point, I have no worries about this, but I will continue to research on this matter until we can finally conclude for sure, that nothing is wrong.

After doing some more research, I came across this: forums.tomcoyote.org/index.php?showtopic=62209... which only adds to my confidence about this not being a problem at all, and just AVG being too 'picky' with how the programs are being coded. I'll just research some more, just to be sure.

Ah, good. ^_^; For a while, I was beginning to think that the game was infecting innocent computers. I'll still keep my eyes open on this matter for a little bit.
If by tomorrow we're absolutely sure this is the case, i'll put another notice in the Download thread about AVG acting this way.

I used to have AVG, and it did that all the time. =\ It would accuse innocent programs of containing trojans when I knew 100% that they were clean.
(and the version of AVG that I had was messed up or something, too, which just made matters worse XD)

Thank you, Meowth.... for proving my point.
I think it's safe to say that nothing is wrong with the NTWF game... what so ever ^^

I know the program is clean, but AVG has become a bit... hysterical lately. About the only thing you can do is either ask AVG to modify their coding, or change yours. The people who made UltraSurf (my proxy software) finally had to recode his software to get around the problem.

Thank you for posting it, I'm not really updated on the game thread but I really did wonder when AVG told me about the game having a trojan yesterday.

Okay then, it's settled. I'll post a small notification next to the download link about AVG, as well as a link to this thread. =3
