NSQ Boss Level- After you defeat her, you can run off the map on the right side, just as the animation of her being exorcised stops. And then you die. Then when you restart the level, the text boxes that appear when you talk to people and in the cut scene will be elevated (and blocked off by the top of the screen).
Do it twice, and text boxes won't be shown at all. You can still progress through the cutscenes by pressing attack, though.
If you complete the level normally after that, text boxes return to normal.
And I did further testing on the Jump-dash-into-a-wall glitch. It seems that as Patjade and Wandy appear on the next screen, they retain the momentum they had when they destroyed the satelite. (I tested this on levels where the Satelite has a wall on its left e.g. Rockfall Path).
And because Tundra Wasteland's Satelite has a wall on its right side, Patjade bounced back to the left, and outside the screen, which might've caused the problem.

Aha! I think I spotted it myself just now. Thankies. ^_^
This is further evidence for me to localize Patjade and Wandy to each individual level as opposed to making them global objects. At least then, none of their variables (or momentum, for that matter) will accidentally carry over.

About the NSQ boss fight, I just checked; Patjade and Wandy can run off the screen whenever a cutscene starts, whether the first time NSQ talks to them, when she's down to 1 heart, or when you defeat her.

Okay, thanks. ^^ In that case, the screen boundaries must have ended up being disabled during cutscenes. In that case, I can just add an extra condition that restricts movement outside the screen under all circumstances.

I know there was a bug I found in regards to trying to get through a door, the door sprite disappearing, and me not going in. I completely forgot the level, though (I remember it was after getting a dash and having to run over a lot of switches) so I'll try to find/reproduce it.
The other thing is that I can't find any conceivable way of getting through Level 25 (Frosty Hills) without having Wandy's double jump. (Possibly Patjade's sticky arrows, but I don't believe there's a surface to stick them on.) I've looked for hidden boxes too. Am I just being an idiot?

There's a hidden block. Keep searching for it. It's above one of the platforms

I have a bit of good news... I think. ^^ Jade Phoenix is starting to get some exposure outside of the NTWF. Recently, a new website has cropped up called Pixel Prospector that contains information on some of the latest independent gaming projects. Jade Phoenix caught the interest of the site's owner, and after asking me for permission, has setup a little page dedicated to the game: www.pixelprospector.com/indev/2009/07/jade-phoenix/The site isn't that popular yet, but hey, everyone's gotta start somewhere, eh? x3

I showed my friend (who's been going to school for gaming design) the game. He liked it a lot and showed it to some of his friends who also liked it. So yeah, people love platform style games still

I still reccomend referencing to Wanderer in-game as "Wanderer" instead of his nickname, Wandy.

I vote for an easter egg of someone calling him 'Randy'.

Been playing the beta version for a little while now. It's fun... even if I can't get past the Tower of the Emeralds. (Insert your own collection of expletives here - that's my reaction every time I play through that [EDIT] dungeon.)
Anyway. The reason I posted was because I discovered something while playing as Patjade, and I have no idea if this is a bug or not. Basically, if you shoot a sticky arrow, and it doesn't hit a monster but hits the ground/wall/ceiling?, as long as the arrow's still there, monsters can still move into it and take damage. I call it the Arrow Mine.
Again, no idea if it's intentional, but if it's a bug, then it's an awesome bug.
(Also: The music in the NSQ boss battle is probably my favourite tune in the game so far. Caught me by surprise to hear rock after everything else I'd heard up to that point.)
