Posting because the June 3rd thing is annoying me XD Come on guys, keep that ball rollin'! *rolls said ball right on top of you* j;D We should start thinking about what sort of hints we're going to give so that people will be able to guess that Stal is the murderer. We have a lot of fun red herrings planned, but not too many actual hints. That needs to be changed, methinks... The thing is, the real clues will have to be much less flashy than the red herrings, or else it will be too obvious... but, we need not-so-flashy red herrings, too. And, I suppose, we could have the big glaring clue that is the Rider/Crystal/Stal profile war thing in the first part... We shouldn't give too many hints towards Stal for a while after that, or it'll be too obvious... That's where the other huge red herrings would come in- Spot's missing earthquake spell/messed up phoenix down gathering situation, Sev's insanity, etc. As for the actual (smaller) clues... hmm... Maybe some clues that can fit other people as well as Stal, and then some things that people really have to pay attention for. Perhaps Stal could help come up with things, since everything I can think of is either fairly obvious (trenchcoat, sunglasses) or just plain silly (something to do with the corruption of a Digimon name that he has for a username). |

If we plan a little bit of the beginning, then that might make laying out clues easier.
- We notice the forum's getting rather dusty. Perhaps a few new members have had near death experiences with giant killer dust bunnies.
- Stal gets another profile change.
- Crystal tortures Wandy
- Eer... maybe Rider finds a way to infiltrate the Ninja Guild, which annoys Mindela?
- Everyone in the tabloids is sat around the TV, which is reporting the mass "misery" epidemic thing.
- Pat decides enough is enough, and the forum needs a good dusting. She books an all expenses paid cruise to Mystery Island for all the members. If we use my idea... Ducky and Bude would be taking them there (see last post of other thread)
- The mods are all called together for cleaning duty. Perhaps a few are late? Stal (preparin' tha killin?), me (fell down a hole?)... you get the idea. Or maybe Stal isn't late, maybe he's first there... red herring. We gotta make sure we're not blindingly obvious.
- Everyone takes a board to clean, and hours of backbreaking labour ensue. Perhaps an argument here?
- Pat calls an emergency meeting. She says on the way back from Mystery Island, the S.S. Fauxtanic (or whatever XD) crashed into an iceberg. Ducky and Bude's last moments were recorded onto some kind of device... and the cheesy dualog is here XD The remains of the boat had washed ashore, without Ducky and Bude.
- Someone smart notices something odd on the shoreline. Acme Iceberg.
- Some deductions that it wasn't an iceberg. "What kind of Titanic could resist this?"
- OMG MURDERAR. The mods are divided in opinion. Some think it was a plot, become very paranoid. Some think it was coincidence. Some don't care, and are glad to be out of cleaning duties.

Maybe all of our modly squabblings can be tied in? Rider decides to infiltrate the Ninja Guild, Mindela gets annoyed and calls Stal. Stal says something like, "I knew we couldn't trust you not to use your modly powers to benefit the pirates!" so Rider changes his profile, Crystal gets involved, and Stal takes the brunt of the hits. Perhaps Mindy and I could each get hit a couple of times, too, being a ninja and a pirate, respectively. Wandy randomly comes by, and Crystal decides to torture him, too, because she can. Everyone's annoyed at each other, etc. I think an ice spell might be preferrable to an ACME iceberg, just because it ties in well with Spot's ice spell that messes up Sev's feathers. I (or another magic-sensing mod) sense(s) that the iceberg was created magically, and would have had to have been created by somebody. Cleaning duty could be fun if we put people who are annoyed with each other together, and show them grumbling. It'll cast suspicions on pretty much everyone later. Mindy with Rider, Crystal with Wandy, Stal with me (perhaps with me arguing that Rider broke in fair and square, without using a modly advantage, and him saying she used the advantage, and both of us being stubborn as usual? XD), Spot with Lycos (?), etc. The tv idea seems pretty good, so we can show the scope of the misery thing, and show that something has to be done. ^_^ |

Spotspot and Wandy have a bit of a rivalry. We ought to throw in something like, "Someday, someone's gonna break the torture toy, playing with him so roughly."

I'm just dying to use that pwnsome Wandy-hat as a clue somewhere.
I think Stal ought to be late to the meeting, but not the last to arrive. The last to arrive ought to be innocent little Nimras or something. Remember that we want some clues pointing to our quieter mods, the ones who don't stir up trouble.[/glow]

Yeah, that's right. It was really Spot, she killed me for having a wild fling with Stal in the showers. (Excuse me while I go find some brain bleach for even thinking of that.)
Hehehe, make it look like I went power crazy after being made a mini-mod, and wanted to take over the guild. Main murder suspect until I'm found dead, stabbed in the chest while cleaning the showers.... Little black threads in my cheese graters slots from me defending myself.
EDIT: Or is Stal's trenchcoat leather?
