Ahhhhh. Deep Space Nine is one of my favorite shows ever. Haven't watched too much of TNG or Voyager, but I'm trying to watch those. Can't stomach TOS or Enterprise. But the middle three are fun.
So I'll join. <3

*added you all* Am I the only TOS fan around here? ;___;
Have you guys seen the movies? I have the first six on DVD from Christmas ^_^ They're really good. Okay, except the fifth, which is total junk. I reeeeeally want to see First Contact, but I have to get my hands on the TNG episodes with the Borg first.

No, I'm a fan of TOS, I just prefer TNG and Voyager for a number of reasons.
And actually I don't think any TNG episodes have the Borg in them, because I remember being surprised when I heard the crew of TNG and Borg were in a movie together. Best I can remember, the only show with Borg is Voyager, which takes place in the distant Delta Quadrant. I haven't actually seen First Contact, but I think it takes place after the events of Voyager.

And Sisko is mad. And that was at the beginning of DS9, well before Voyager started. So I'm not sure WHEN the Borg were introduced into TNG, but they were there. >__>

TNG was the series that first introduced the Borg, but there was only one, maybe two episodes in which they showed up. :3

The Borg were introduced by the ever present nuciance, Q, during an episode in which Q was trying to convince Picard that he should be allowed to serve on the Enterprise. Picard said no, that they didn't need him, and so Q sent them flying all the way out to where the Borg were. After an unpleasant scenario, Picard admits he needs Q's help to get out of there, and so Q takes them back.
The Borg did not appear very often after that; there were several episodes, tho; most noted are "The Best of Both Worlds", "I Borg", and the one where Lor manipulates Data and ends up being disassembled.
It was the episode "The Best of Both Worlds" in which Captain Jean-Luc Picard was assimalated and became Locutus. First Contact was a movie that involved time travel and the Borg.

I can't believe some of you didn't know that TNG was the series in which the Borg were introduced, or that they didn't show up in more than one or two episodes. The Borg showed up on TNG at LEAST five or six times throughout the course of the series, maybe more.
Sign me up, please! I LOVE TNG, and have seen literally every episode. I'm not as familiar with Deep Space 9 or Voyager, but I do like TOS as well. TNG is much better, though, in my opinion.
Here's the real list or reasons to watch TNG:
1. Picard 2. Data 3. Warf 4. Data 5. Riker 6. Data
All of the above are awesome characters (though Riker is to a lesser extent). Spock is awesome in the original series, as are Kirk and the rest, but in the end, I just feel that TOS was more about plot and not as much about character development. TNG had more of the latter.
