All of the above are awesome characters (though Riker is to a lesser extent). Spock is awesome in the original series, as are Kirk and the rest, but in the end, I just feel that TOS was more about plot and not as much about character development. TNG had more of the latter. I agree. The acting is better in TNG as well... Patrick Stewart is amazing. And I felt the plotlines in the TOS episodes got a bit repetitive after a while, while the TNG ones had a bit more continuity and covered more ground. |

I can't believe some of you didn't know that TNG was the series in which the Borg were introduced, or that they didn't show up in more than one or two episodes. The Borg showed up on TNG at LEAST five or six times throughout the course of the series, maybe more. Yes, and having seen random reruns from various points in the show alongside random reruns from various points in Voyager, and having not seen any of these since several several years ago, I should have known that easily.   I like TOS's banter better than what I remember of TNG and Voyager's banter. The characters conflicted in more interesting ways, in my opinion, especially Spock and McCoy. |

I'm going to shamelessly plug my fanfic, which is a TNG crossover: ntwriters.proboards53.com/index.cgi?board=fanfic&action=display&thread=37234Admittedly it's only half-TNG and the other half focuses on Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, but it IS set on the Enterprise and, since this is a relatively new fandom for me, I'm worrying about getting things wrong or people OOC as usual. My father and I are big trekkies, and we got Leoness hooked to Star Trek: Enterprise. We just finished Season 2 on DVD, and our goal is to get each series and watch them in chronological order (in terms of the Star Trek timeline, not the years each series were aired). ^_^
EDIT: Beam me up, Scotty! (Or whoever the club owner is. xD)

Ever wonder what it would be like if Star Trek crossed over to Star Wars? I found this awesome video-edit on YouTube where Picard's Enterprise accidentally runs into the Death Star and battles the imperial fleet.
