This, for instance, is amusing: the seiyuu for Uryuu Ishida (and Sasuke of Naruto) also did the voice for Bloo in the Japanese dub of Foster's Home for Imaginary friends. X3

Awesome, I'm in! And for another interesting voice thing: The voice actor for Uryu from Bleach and Shino from Naruto is the same person in the American versions. And the guy who does Ichigo's voice did the voice of some random guy from the forest of death stuff in Naruto. I was actually kind of proud of myself for recognizing the voices. Heheh.  Anyway, Bleach is awesome. I've been hooked since I watched an episode because there was nothing else on TV. I had only a very vague idea of what it was about, but I loved it. I now own almost the entire manga series... wow. Anyway... *points to avvie* Bleach=awesome |

I've hardly seen any of the anime, though I'm nearly halfway through the manga. ^^ I want to watch it someday, but I've discovered that I can get through a manga series much faster than I could get through an anime, which suits my impatience nicely. ^__^ *got bored of Naruto halfway through the first series and quit* >_> The action panels can get a bit messy, though, so I'm looking forward to seeing some of the battles in the anime. (Especially Mayuri vs Ishida. Yum.)
... Ha, and one reason I will never be able to see the dub: there is no way they can get Renji's voice right if Quinton Flynn isn't doing it. >___> He looks and acts too much like Axel to have any other voice in my mind - I keep hearing him like that when I'm reading. (And apparently Flynn does Kon? XDXD Okay, so maybe I do have to see this, if only to giggle at that.)
Yay for Toshirou/Momo. ^__^ I agree with the cuteness. I'm beginning to ship Renji/Rukia too. And Orihime with either Ichigo or Ishida, can't decide ;-;

I know you probably dunno who Dan Warren is (or don't care) but he was the VA of Lu Bu in Dynasty Warriors 4 and Liu Bei in Dynasty Warriors 4 & 5.
In fact, a lot of the DW cast can be found in Bleach, since its licenced by Viz

I don't like Mayuri e_e Does anyone like Mayuri? Just curious, cause like... I don't. >_> He was all "oooh, you're boring go away, Quincies are boring 'cause I totally dissected them and your grandpa, so you're boring, I'm just gonna go stand over here and put cones on my face and kick my daughter, 'cause I want to dissect your friend now and she's not here, woe is me, now go away OH I FORGOT you can't cause I poisoned you ha ha!" so then Ishida is like "uh, no, I'm totally going to take off my glove now and you can't stop me!" and Mayuri is like "OH YEAH well now I'm going to POISON YOU with a GIANT CREEPY BABY HEAD that's almost as creepy as I am HA" and then Ishida's like "Well I'm going to KILL you take THAT" and then Mayuri is like "HAHA NOT DEAD *melt*" and then Nemu is all "oh, thank you for not killing my creepy dad" and Ishida is like "no prob, but uh, the not-killing thing was sort of an accident" and Nemu's like "ok whatev, here's some antidote" and Ishida's like "kthxbai gonna go not be a Quincy anymore" and and and... MAYURI DIDN'T DIE. T___T yeah, I actually read this chapter earlier, but stiiill I felt hyper and commentaryish. >____> I don't like Mayuri. And Ishida is <3. And yeah. >__> But I like Renji!  |

I'm not familiar with Kingdom Hearts so.. that explains it. It is always weird, though, to watch an anime after you've imagined a specific voice for a character and see that it's different. On a somewhat related note, for some reason Jiraiya's (from Naruto) voice keeps popping into my head for the majority of adult male characters in the manga I've been reading lately. And they're not necessarily anything like him. It's starting to get a little annoying. Not to mention it's really weird. |

On a somewhat related note, for some reason Jiraiya's (from Naruto) voice keeps popping into my head for the majority of adult male characters in the manga I've been reading lately. And they're not necessarily anything like him. It's starting to get a little annoying. Not to mention it's really weird. XD Richard Cansino? The only person I can think of when I hear his voice is Pang Tong from Dynasty Warriors. |

The Saturday slot was replaced by Death Note, which I could deal with, but then the weekday slot was replaced by *shudder* Shin Chan... I miss my daily fix of Bleach. And I can't even read the new manga because I still haven't gotten the January issue *sigh*
I mean, I know I can watch it on youtube or whatever, but.. I still liked having it on TV. So.. does anyone know why it disappeared? Or when/if it will be returning?

However, on November 10, 2007 at a Tandokucon panel, Kyle Hebert stated that they had fallen behind on their dubbing schedule, and that the show should be returning as soon as Death Note finishes its run. I dislike the dub. >___> There's pretty much no anime I can stand watching on TV except maybe Death Note (and even that had the famous "I'll take a potato chip... AND EAT IT" line). Like with Bleach, I just watched an episode yesterday to hear the voices (I like doing that with anime XD) and Mizuiro's really bothered me for some reason. XD It didn't fit him. I know he's an incredibly minor character and it doesn't really matter, but it bugged me. Ishida's introduction was better in the Japanese too. >__> "Soul Reapers are my enemies" isn't NEARLY as good as "I hate shinigami. So... Ichigo Kurosaki... I hate you." XD |
