I was away from 5-9, so they decided to cancel the awards ceremony altogether. -_-; Apparently I won anyways. According to the bulletin board, my Birdwing Butterfly won with 116 points; second and third were 58 and 38, respectively. Now, though, I finally have a chance to develop my town.  In other news, Tortimer's doing well for himself. 0_o |

I thought I'd win with a 96 pt Agrias Butterfly
then Papi had to win with a 104 pt Birdwing Butterfly :I

*lets you know* Also, I just paid off my 98k loan. ...this bridge ain't never going to get built if I keep making my house bigger, though. Hmm... EDIT: Nevermind. Sharks are not only OP, but visually distinctive and fairly easy to find. Plus, 15k a pop isn't too shabby. EDIT: Alright, the Able Sisters had a reaction when I found hilarious when my character tried on a skirt at their store, so I bought it just for kicks. ...but I forgot, and I just StreetPassed someone in it. >_< |

New Leaf finally arrived in the mail for me today! 8D I've been waiting for this game for so looooong, i'm super excited. Named my town Orion because it sounded pretty. 8D And my favourite villager is currently an Alligator named Sly. He's the best.

I'm so glad that a lot of people seem to be playing New Leaf, Animal Crossing is one of my favourite series' ever!

I did some streetpasses with coworkers today, because at least a half-dozen people bring their systems to work. XD And I realized that a LOT of people play as themselves, or as something that's very much like themselves. Like, their thought process is "This is my house and my furniture, and I'm wearing fun things."
I'm playing as my character, Drake, who is very much not like me. He's a high school jock, and I'm a chubby Asian girl animator. XD So I'm building his house with the classroom, and a gym, and upstairs will be his bedroom with trophies and a big radio and lots of clothes lying around. I made him a varsity jacket. Later I'll probably include my vampire Arak, so he can have all the ancient marble statues and a garden of plants. I could never really get into being me in these things. XD It seems that's not a very common thing.

I bet it's probably not buyable from the model homes, either, I'm sure. (The way that the fortune cookie items are NFS)

Who knows if it'll be available as a promotion from Pelly/Phyllis like the rainbow screen, though. And if the Best Buy over there is in a mall or something like that, you could probably find time to take a detour sometime this month. Also, Gulliver was in town today and he just made a Super Mario Sunshine reference. (Isle Delfino...) |

actually, if you alter your router's name to bestbuy, apparently, you can get the special items without going outside.
this is according to gameFAQS.

You have to change your router name, so if you know that, you're good. just make sure to alter the internet settings in the 3DS accordingly, so it picks up the "new" hotspot.
