I just finished anohana: The Flower We Saw That Day & I am covered in tears. whyyyy
It was one of those shows I went into KNOWING it was a famous tearjerker, and I cry at everything, so I don't know what I expected lol. It was still great; I just am dead & dying.

I'm watching Gurren Lagann now. This was loooong overdue. It's one of my favorites XD But I like most things from that team of animators. Also, after watching, check out the movies (just retelling of the series, but the ending stuff is awwwwwesome in the movie)

So I'm not sure how I feel about more episodes. A lot of fans have wanted to see a continuation. Knowing FLCL the question is where do they actually continue? Story wise it would be best to follow Haruko, but not sure her alone could hold the show. You need the sort of normal person XD

Considering the first series's focus on the psychological and sexual development of an adolescent boy, perhaps they could explore a counterpoint in Mamimi.

I hate to double post but Ping Pong was just added to Crunchy Roll and it's super good. Seriously impressive animation.
Also anyone else watch Mob Psycho 100? That was my favorite last season.

I started to watch Mob Psycho, but didn't really get into it. I still plan on finishing though. (only really saw the first couple episodes.) Last season I watched Food Wars and Sweetness & Lightning. Right now I'm watching Drifters, Nanbaka, March Comes In Like A Lion, and Kiss Him Not Me. Plus continuing Dragon Ball Super.

If it's not your thing, it's not your thing. That's cool. I just really, really thought the animation was playful and cool and it gets into another angle on some of the themes that were raised in One Punch Man. It takes a little to warm up but I was sold by episode 3. XD
I'm also watching March Comes in Like a Lion. That's a charming one. Yuri on Ice and Gakuen Handsome are my other shows right now.

I mostly got distracted by other things, so I only watched the first 2 episodes XD So I do plan on continuing either way (plus in most cases, I hate leaving a series unfinished, even if I don't care for it XD It has to be downright awful for me not to finish usually). The art style for it is pretty interesting, mostly since it's closet to One's art style (cleaner then the One Punch webcomics).

*pokes silent thread* Where'd everybody go? o.o ( busy playing pokemon?) Welp, I'm just going to dump some comments on Yuri on Ice after marathon-watching it, k? (this spoilerbox actually contains spoilers and not a gif)Things I liked:
* let's get it out of the way - the eponymous music that Yuri skates to, yes, I fell in love with it too. * The setting really reminded me of GPF videos I used to watch, I think they captured that pretty well. * So many poses, so much research, so many original concepts for the choreographies! * Characters from so many different countries, and they're not even blatant stereotypes. (well, not as far as I noticed. ^^; ) * The secondary characters didn't get much more to say than their inner monologues during their performances. Some of those inner monologues were really fun and expressive. I particularly liked Chris, he was, er, priceless. And Georgi. Sshhh, it's going to be all right, Georgi.
* When episode 1 is like, "and now we introduce the typical cute anime girl who will be the love interest! JUST kidding, she's happily married 8D"
* The plot didn't focus overwhelmingly on the romance. The romance seemed to develop naturally from the plot. * And it happened over months instead of being way too fast. * Yuri's inner monologue during his performances. I thought it conveyed the evolution of his feelings pretty well. * Yuri and Viktor are both really cool people??? I especially appreciate how, when they meet Yurio again at the Rostelecom Cup, and he casually insults Yuri on the way, their immediate reaction is "omg he looks NICE 8D"
* Viktor, though! I've found a bunch of anime love interests to be quite unlikable. Viktor has moments of silliness and diva-ness, but he's a really good guy, open-minded, respectful and patient and understanding with the Yuris. I enjoyed the parts that were narrated by him. It made the relationship feel more mutual, in a way. * When they use Makkachin as a reason to send Viktor away from Yuri for an episode: many series would probably have created an undeveloped family member to fall ill for the same plot device. I appreciate how both of the dogs were given as much importance as human family members.
* Viktor's reactions while Yuri skates. * Viktor's reactions while Yuri skates! * When Yuri does the quadruple flip in episode 11 and Viktor does it WITH HIM from the audience - that right there is my favourite moment in the series. * My second favourite moment would be the flashbacks from the banquet where Yuri got drunk. c:
Things I didn't like so much:
* the stories of all the secondary skaters felt quite disconnected from the main plot. They are rather engaging character, yes, but please give me more reasons to care about them. Well, that's probably because they're all from different places and don't get to interact that much. * Crispino was kinda creepy. =/ * I liked Yurio's evolution, his scenes with grandpa were adorable, but even though everyone kept saying he'd found his Agape and whatnot... I didn't really feel it from his character that much.
* I don't know much about animation but I'm guessing that animating figure skating is no small challenge. Still. There were some bits that looked seriously wonky. Especially when the skater spins and their body seems to get skewed sideways. And there are some parts that could have looked all right if they'd been shaded - except they weren't. I think poor Yurio got the most Slenderman-looking moments. * I don't think they conveyed just how big those rinks are. You need a long distance to gather enough speed for all those jumps. (* anime fans invading the comment sections of non-fictional figure skaters T_T)

I haven't watched much of anything new. I just finished up a few of the dubbed versions of shows I mentioned before (Nanbaka, Drifters, Kiss Him Not Me).
I'm still watching Mob Psycho 100 dub as it's released. March Comes in Like a Lion is still going. And been watching Dragon Ball Super as it's released as well...
I just started Gabriel DropOut, which is pretty funny so far XD But it's still really new.
Other then that, things are just on my list of things to watch, like Re:Zero and Yuri on Ice.
