*glances at her seven at-least-one-difficulty-completed stepfiles* Maybe I should join this club, eh? As for backgrounds... honestly, making banners and backgrounds is probably one of my favorite things about making stepfiles. It makes them look that much more spiffy.

Hmm... I suppose having a background is nice in the versions where there are no dancers on the screen. Sorry, I'm not very familiar with the Stepmania Community, so I wouldn't know much about other people's stepfiles. ^_^;
I think I might make an animated background for Hexadecimal Genome. I'm not sure what I'll do with Particle Charge yet, though.

So...who's excited about STEPMIX 3!?!?! *exhiliration*

Could you explain the difference to me? I was just thinking of doing a simple animation, very simple, not very distracting, like the ones on DDRMAX2. (I got that for my birthday. ) Do you know what I mean? It wouldn't even take a very long time if I ever take the time to just sit myself down and do it.

OR you can use a .avi file for your animation. Just make sure it syncs nicely.

Don't know if it counts for this discussion or not, but i recently found a music creator called "Psycle". Don't know how hard or easy it will be to create music yet, but willing to try it out and see how it goes. Maybe the wiki can explain better than me.

Never heard of it. Your best bets are to stick with Sony ACID, FruityLoops, and Audacity (for the barebones stuff).

So, is anybody going to enter StepMix 3 or what? I've already got two songs in.

I dunno about StepMix. I might consider entering it if they allow unfinished/one-level-only stepfiles. I finished a level for another song, yesterday. I tried to upload it, but Putstuff said it undergoing maintenance. I'll try uploading it on that other site, the DDR one I have an account on, once I remember which site it was... *digs into received e-mails* Edit: Alright, I've uploaded the file on my Bemanistyle account. It's similar to the music Bit Shifter does, but I like it even better. It's called Helix Nebula by AnamanaguchiEdit: Whoops! Code slip-up.

No, they don't. And you have to get permission, but that isn't that hard. I know a lot of artist you could get permission from in 2-3 days. >_>
If anyone wants, I could do graphics. But I don't really want to do collab steps.

Not joining, because I don't have the games (or the gaming platform for them), but I thought this was too cool not to share.

I'd hate to see that song's challenge mode, if it has one. I wonder whether that guy is using the keyboard, or the pad. If I had to guess, I'd say keyboard, though I think there are some people who can move that fast on the pad. And Salah, www.stepmania.com/wiki/Downloads is downloadable onto the computer, so you don't need a Playstation or anything (Though I think there is a Playstation version). And if you're wondering, yes it's legal, it was originally (I think) developed for the computer.
