I like how they explained more on Cloud's level, Midgar. The summon system sounds fun. Like a tiny smash ball XD
Plus, you can buy him tonight XD Which is always nice.

GAME, Y U NO GIVE ME CLOUD'S CUSTOM MOVES? Also, I take back what I said about having enough FE characters here, 'cos Corrin's moveset is freaking AWESOME! Heck, he/she managed to have a crazier moveset than Bayonetta, which is really sayin' something!
Also, I had NO IDEA what happened during Bayonetta's Final Smash.

I am a bit sad that there are only 2 songs for the Midgar Stage.

Yeah, I wasn't even expecting Corrin/Kamui appearing at all, given the circumstances (released only in Japan at time of writing, but not in the rest of the world). S/he's actually the third character from the FE series to 'pull a Marth' (after Marth and Roy), aka Marth Debuted in Smash Bros. S/he does seem like an interesting character to play as in Smash. You forgot to mention Lucas. (Y'know, since Mother 3 was never released outside Japan?)
Besides, everyone already knew Fire Emblem Fates is releasing worldwide, so we don't have to wait that long.

you know... again I have to say this, since I might have said this ages ago. Who are we avoiding spoilers for? XD It's a fighting game, dlc we have to buy, not like things are a mystery or a story XD Needless spoilers are sort of painful to look at... GAME, Y U NO GIVE ME CLOUD'S CUSTOM MOVES? Also, I had NO IDEA what happened during Bayonetta's Final Smash. Because no DLC character has custom moves? XD

Well, the caveat for Bayonetta winning Top 5 in US and Top 1 in Europe is that she's top "among realizable characters." Ie, it's totally possible that Goku or Master Chief or President Obama won the ballot, but they weren't fighters that Nintendo could get the rights to.
That said, her moveset looks like fun, even if that combo-juggling system seems really complicated.

Bayonetta looks kinda OP... as if once top players get their hands on her, it'll be like Brawl Meta Knight all over again.

Yeah, should be interesting to play with and see how well I can combo XD And yeah, I sort of want to see what the lists were... Like the ones you gave, maybe Shrek since that seemed a fan favorite for some reason...

I always thought Shrek was meant to be satirical, but than again, I gave humanity too much benefit of a doubt.

Shrek was pretty obviously a reference to the "Shrek is love, Shrek is life" meme, so yes, it was basically trolling.

Trolling or not, still pretty stupid.

I think "ogreing" would be more accurate--*brick'd* That said, is this specifically the last Smash 4-themed Nintendo Direct, or the last of the new content we'll be seeing for it at all?

From what I've heard, it's the last update (besides bug fixes and nerfs and such). They could surprise us later, but doubt it.

That said, is this specifically the last Smash 4-themed Nintendo Direct, or the last of the new content we'll be seeing for it at all? Sakurai gave a farewell speech at the end of the Direct, including a final tally of the number of stages, costumes, and characters, so pretty safe to say this is the absolute last of the content.
