I've been thinking about this all day today... Leoness thinks it's a great idea as well. We could possibly make a guild dedicated to the NTWF Game that i've been working on over the past few months. It would allow me to create different topics for each of the game's elements, rather than clustering everything together in a single topic. I could create one topic for posting concept art, another topic for screenshots, another topic for character requests, and so on. If enough people support this idea, it would make things go much more smoothly since different aspects of the game's development would be better organized and arranged. ^^ I would want the guild to be open to everyone (not password protected), and I have several ideas for a mod sponsor as well. Thoughts? [glow=teal,2,300] I don't know.... Guilds mainly focus around your forum persona. I think requesting a sub-board in Forum Events might be more appropriate. But this is just my opinion. [/glow] That's not a bad idea, actually. If the NTWF Game guild does go into place, there would be no password protection, and therefore no guild badges... So, instead of gathering 9 people who support the idea of a NTWF Game guild, I could instead formulate some kind of petition to add a sub-board in Forum Events. f^^

I do believe it's her who makes the sub-board anyway ^_^ ... or PM a mod, and I'm sure they'll take it up on the Mod Squad board ^^,

[glow=teal,2,300]I've ben thinking of this idea for quite a while.
Just wondering, how would a Mercenary guild sound? It'd be for people who don't actually belong to a certain side during a war. And as the name suggests, they're hired by one side or they could stay neutral in a dispute. There're no restrictions on classes. They could be melee fighters, healers, magi, etc.
I'm just seeing how much interest this might get before actually working on it.[/glow]

Hmm, it sounds like a good idea really. Someone could be a Merc, and be in another guild at the same time this way, since they hired them. Of course, being a Merc would mean not being totally loyal to a given side, unless they offered their services to the side themselves

I mean, they're on the Mercenary guild's side.. maybe I'm just being confusing. XD Strife- That would be cool.

The way I see it is this. Mercenary's are their own side, sure. However merc's will usually offer their services, often for a fee, to a side. However there are the times when they will assist a side they believe in as well. If memory serves me right, that happoned a few times in the Fire Emblem series, correct? When your up against a group, but when you spoke to one of them with the correct memeber, they switched sides due to the other person eaither being a mercenary themselves from the same guild, or due to a debt they owed them before, or just friendship. So the contract was than broken with their orignal "owners" and they switched to your side. So basically you have the Merc. Guild. Than some go ahead and join the Ninja, Pirates, Mages, or just stay where they are. So a Ninja would be hiring some Mercs' to fight the Pirates, but the Pirates also have some they have hired. Or a Merc believes in a side, and thus joins one of them. It's kind of like the Mages, they arn't exactly at war with any side when you think about it. They are in fact on both the Pirate and Ninja side, it really depends on the person which side they really wish to side on. Heck, this could be a way to say your a pirate and a ninja or something You a Merc, raised as a pirate, so your persona is very Pirate like, but you believe in the Ninja's Complicated now, but still

[glow=teal,2,300] I was thinking something like that. The way I see it, mercenaries are mostly neutral. During wars, whichever sides may hire mercenaries to aid them OR they could join a side if they choose to align themselves with them. (I know that's the exact same thing you posted)[/glow] If memory serves me right, that happoned a few times in the Fire Emblem series, correct? A mercenary can be converted to the other side if hired or is convinced to join the other side.[/glow]

So then a Mercenary guild would mostly be a Fighters/Warriors Guild unless there was a war going on?

Usually any class can be a Mercenary. The only real guideline I can see is, they like money

Hmm, I'm not sure if this has been suggested, as I'm too lazy to read five pages of posts (^^''), but how about an Alchemist guild? There seems to be quite a few FMA fans in this forum, and my Persona is an Alchemist, so why not?

How about a Jedi/Star Wars guild? There was a bit of interest when Keng tried a Jedi Academy on the splatterboard. (Much less when I retried it, though.)
Or maybe a Poke'mon Trainers guild?
