Actually, you can still be classified as a healer if you lug a whole bunch of healing potions and herbs and descend upon the battlefield and treat a lot of wounded people... Technically, in the above situation, you don't use magic. You use magical items, but not your own magic, so therefore, not all healers are mages. j;) |

I was thinking more along the lines of MapleStory...
One of the job advancements for the Magician (Mage) class is Cleric (Healer) meaning that Healers are Mages. =D
although, if you're not talking about magical healing, but instead about potions and herbs and such...then you wouldn't be a mage...I was thinking more along the lines of Cleric and not Herbologist/Potions Master

Speaking of the comeptitions thing, I had actually just come on to announce a drawing competition between Ninjas and Pirates. But judging by the look of this, I'll let it wait. This is sounding absolutely awsome!
Then I was planning on having a short story writing comp after cause not everyone likes to draw. Then I was going to have a poetry writing competition. Then I was.. oh, wait, no, it ends there.
Mind you, for these competitions I would need neutral judges.
The art one would be based on:
1)PARTICIPATION!! : If you submit you automatically get a point (or two) for your team!
2)Complicity: The more difficult the picture is to draw, regardless of how well you did it, the more points you would earn for your team. eg: a pirate standing neutral at a frontal view will not get as many points as a pirate doing the kan-kan at a partially bottom view.
3)Interest: Is it interesting to look at? It is a neat scene? Is it amusing? Is it exciting? Botom line: How creative is it? The more creative it is the more points. eg: A drawing of a ninja crouching won't get as many points as a ninja crouching on a branch, holding a sword, getting ready to strike.
4)Skill: THIS is where the actuall skill of the artist comes into consideration. Notice it is at the bottom of the list? This means that it will not be as important as the above, but WILL play a part. Cartoons will be equally as appreciated as realism. There are people who can draw realism like there's no tomorow but couldn't draw a cartoon if tomorw's comming depended on it.
actually, to heck with it. I'll go to the splatterboard and get it started up now. Hope to see ya'll there.
