[shadow=purple,left,300] Chronicles of the Court Rogue: Jealousy - Nimras23Well, this was a shorter train of events. I like how Jeran and Rolan still managed to insert a little conversation into their mission without getting a tad too carefree. The transitions weren't too fast or too slow, which made this chapter, albeit not too action-packed or anything, an enjoyable read. Awww, Mareian was worried about Jeran. ^_^ Isn't that sweet. Catching Up - Extreme_fj0rdI like how this story is kicking off - not too fast, but with a gradual, slow pace, but not exactly snail's pace, because that would just be downright boring. I guess it'll start picking up in the next parts? XDDD Poor Evea. Good luck with that.[/shadow]

ComicsJelly RestrictionsBy Pokemon_Lunatic and Candykitty The Art: Seeing as how I have little artistic skills when it comes to anything but hand-drawn myself, most art that I see is very impressive to me. Even so, I notice that Candykitty has a distinct style, with extra thick lines and brilliant colors that gives the cartoon a uniform but eye-catching look. The little blue guy was absolutely adorable, by the way, and I also liked how you did a different backgroud for the "ow!" panel -- it helped to add a lot of emotion to the scene. The Joke: It was very cute! The thought of a booby-trapped Jelly being the cause of the red-handedness was pretty clever. It gives a whole new definition to the expression, that's for sure. I just wish I could booby-trap everything that was dear to me in a similar fashion, and then I'll know who tried to take things by the redness of their hands. The comic's joke is simple, yet effective. No Game Here - Illusen's New FashionBy Hello5346 and Kamikatze24 The Art: I can't tell what material this was -- maybe colored pencil? It was very pretty though, with a dreamlike, fluid quality. The characters were done in the brightest colors to show that they are the main points of each panel, but just enough detail was put into the background to get a rough idea of what's there. It gave the entire comic a whimsical look that flowed together prettily. The Joke: I must admit, I am not always the best at catching jokes. The one confused me a little bit at first, because I got the impression that Fyora suddenly came out of nowhere. Then I re-read the title, and it made a little bit more sense. I would bet that the Faerie Queen would be upset to find out that someone seems to have "stolen" her wardrobe ideas! I wonder, though, why Illusen in smiling? Does she know Jhudora was responsible? Little OrbyBy Tashni The Art: The lines around the characters are wavery and thin, creating a clear cartoonish effect. I like the different sizings of the panels, and how that causes a natural movement in the overall comic. There is also use of overlap to direct the eye in the intended direction, which is innovative. A lot of the emotion of the comic is depicted through the detailing of the character's eyes. The Joke: Although this wasn't a laugh-out-loud sort of comic, it has the appearance of a continued theme (am I correct?) in which Litty Orby apparently finds out some of the Neopian not-so-great occurances. There might even be a moral to dig out of this for, if Little Orby had been a bit more prudent with his money and stuck it into his bank rather than being driven by greed, he might have avoided being fried. The Happiest QuiggleBy Nut862 The Art: The idea of making purple smoggy smoke rise up from the ground was clever -- it did a good job of creating the "Jhudora's Domain" feel to the otherwise unblemished, green hill. The way the thought bubbles seemed to drip was a good indicator of the loadedness of Jhudora's question, almost sickeningly sweet. The illustration of the eyes to convey expression was also well done. The Joke: The utter obliviousness and untainted happiness of the pets that Jhudora's questioning adds a great deal to the scene. The actual punchline "Who taught you how to use your tastebuds?" is unclear -- is Jhudora implying that she taught them? I didn't quite understand what she meant by that. But the expression of Jhudora as the pets chatter about the superiority of Illusen is humorous, and how even Jhudora's explosion of anger was another point against her. More to be added upon request!

Gross Food: Grossly Misunderstood? - Playmobil This was an interesting article and I enjoyed reading it. The balance of facts and humor was done nicely, though it's ending, compared to the rest of it, seemed a little weak. I particularly enjoyed the introduction. It was quite creative.
Making Guilds Fun!!! - Manda314 This was an awesome article, quite informative and really well-written. I enjoyed reading it, and it definitely has given me ideas on how I can spruce up my own guild, which has a lot of weaknesses in it and is in the process of receiving major updates.

Quite a lot of comics this week! I'm glad. I could use a few good laughs today! ^_^
Little Orby - Tashni Aww! Poor Orby!!! I saw it coming, I did, but it was still so funny heartbreaking how he was struck with lightning. I really liked the art; it fits the mishaps of Little Orby so perfectly.
Jelly Restrictions - Candykitty and Dimitris The artwork was really nice and the expressions were quite good as well. The joke itself, though funny, in my opinion was not the greatest I've seen and felt a bit cliché. Still, good work.
And the Meepits Outgrabe - Kittylin I love this comic series--I love its artwork and I love Miles, too. But, for this one, something felt missing. That's probably because I totally missed the joke. I'm sure it'd make sense if I put the pieces together, but the second thought-bubble is too small for me to make out what she's holding, so...my mind draws a blank. But I still enjoyed the art.
Grasping at Shadows: Technical Difficulties - Mindsend A long introduction, but the joke was hilarious! Hmm...is that a video game controller in the blue Meepit's hands?! lol. The art was very nice and I liked it.
No Game Here: Illusen's New Fashion - Tee and Kami The art in this was just superb, though the proportions of the Blumaroo looked a bit off in the second panel, but llusen's expressions were just wonderful. The joke was quite funny as well and it made me laugh.
The Happiest Quiggle - Nut Yep, that covers it all, doesn't it? I really liked this comic; the art was flowing and colorful and bright, but at the same time not too bright. And the joke was just great. My only objection is that I got confused at the last panel, not certain in which order to read the captions. But the joke was still pretty great.
Faerie Blues - Auto and Tristess That was just awesome! I really liked how you had each frame connected to the map, and then how you had the trip going back. The ending was just wonderfully done. The art was smooth and flowed from beginning to end without flaw and I really liked its softer tones.
Their Own Little World - Daughters_ofthe_moon ^_^ That is such a cute comic; it definitely made me like it. Good job on your first comic and congrats on getting into the NT.

The Editorial caught my eye, because of a specific answer to one of the questions.
The question. Pretty normal.
The answer. Worth a raised eyebrow?
What do they mean by that? NeoStaff addressing the definition of "n00b"? What definition are they using?

This comment also caught my eye.
What I think TNT means, is that the actual definition of "n00b" is a "newbie", whilst the user meant "someone who uses chatspeak". I have to agree with TNT to some extend that I'm pretty sure that there are quite an amount of people who play Neopets for months or years now and still use chatspeak.

Thank you, Wolf. ^^ I'm glad you liked it. And the brilliant green and purple looked all right to you? ^^; I'm glad. I was afraid they'd be too bright while I was working on it, but I guess most colors start to look too bright after you've been staring at them for a long time. Yes, I'm so mad at myself about that last panel. >_< I was just tired of working on the comic for two and a half hours straight (which is less time than a comic of that many panels normally takes me, so that's quite rushed) and didn't want to deal with it anymore, so I left the balloons as is. Such an offense is not to be tolerated. *slaps self* --- Reviews coming. I'm still catching up on continued series from last week.

Wow, I haven't been on in ages! Well, I haven't been writing for ages! Anyway here are some quick comic reviews and reviews for my short (hurried) story, Fanmail for Jhudora is appreciated. Comic Reviews!Little Orby - Tashni Aw, poor Orby! I love the artwork and it was pretty funny how he was zapped! Jelly Restrictions - Candykitty and Dimitris The artwork is amazing! I could see the ending coming but it was still quite funny. And the Meepits Outgrabe - Kittylin The artwork is really good and the joke was OK but I didn't find it that funny, although that could just be me. And it doesn't have to be funny. I loved the art though, especially the think bubbles with the Mum. Grasping at Shadows: Technical Difficulties - Mindsend Haha. At first, after reading the intro, I thought it wouldn't be funny but surprisingly I thought it was really funny! Great art too. No Game Here: Illusen's New Fashion - Tee and Kami Wow, the art is really great! It made me laugh too so great job. The Happiest Quiggle - Nut I love your art! *Is jealous* Anyway, the joke was pretty funny. It made me laugh a lot. Faerie Blues - Auto and Tristess This has to be one of my favourites! I loved the Snow Faerie's expression at the end, you got it spot on. I liked the little maps showing the Meerca's journey too. It was great art and a funny joke. Well done. Their Own Little World - Daughters_ofthe_moon Haha! Short and simple but effective too. The art is really cute and I liked how you made it funny even though it was so short.
