[Nimras]

I love how the twins’ fort falls over, with Gwen sitting there laughing in innocent glee, obviously understanding enough of the game despite her unconventional ways of playing.

*grin* Gwen's a smart one, she just doesn't think quite like everyone else. She's based on one of my nieces; she spoke in complete sentences by the time you could understand the words coming out of her mouth. Now she's 8 (my niece is, not Gwen ), and smarter than both of her parents put together. Not actually a good mix, when she feels like causing trouble...

Brenden's dad was JERAN?! Wow...I didn't know...

AWESOME way to give us Jeran/Marien groupies an answer to our "will they ever get together?" question. Although, Nimras, as your groupie I feel it my duty to beg and plead you for a story SHOWING us them getting together. I KNOW you couldn't put it in the NT, but maybe post it on the NTWF? Pretty please?

.... I'll think about it. *grin* I actually do know how they get together, but figuring out a coherent way to write it down might be a different problem all together.

First off, I can't decide if that picture is adorable or frightening. His eyes disturb me.

So it's not just me? Good. I have to admit, the first thing to pop into my head after I saw it was that he'd apparently inherited the gene that makes Mareian keep loosing her pants.

Second, wow, this story is a shipper's dream. I count three couples you surreptitiously told us about-- am I missing any?

Well, there's Mareian/Jeran, Rolan/Lisha, and Danner/Mirtah.... I ended up leaving out the fourth couple, because no one's read about the girl yet.

Did the ideas for the "rules" of the snow fort/snowball game come from the Castle Battles game, or is that just coincidence. I like the idea that a game Skarl and Hagan used to play has become castle tradition.

Well, yes and no. The idea that there was a castle set of rules was, but the snow idea came from something else.

This is going to sound like an odd suggestion, but find a copy of "Get a Life" by William Shatner and look up the "Wanda Warrior Princess" anecdote. It is HYSTERICAL, and such a setup would have been great in "Castles." . . . yeah.

*grin* I'll have to give that a look. I actually wrote it because I'd just finished a rather ... less happy... short story and was in a kind of depressing part in my series, and wanted to write something cute and happy for a change.
