I feel really horrible posting asking for reviews when I won't be able to do any, but I was really busy last week and I have virtually the same schedule for this next week--with added stuff--and then I'm gone for a month, so I don't think I'll be able to do any reviews. =/
With that said, any reviews of my story Captain of the Ship (which is my first NT publication in 29 issues :3) would be loved, adored, etc. I'm trying to get back into NT writing a bit, so reviews would be very very helpful. ^^;

Hello, this is a new member here  My neo account is icesmith, and i finnaly got into this issue's Neopian times Very Happy. I love all the comics that are entered every week, and i LOVE the colours and shading, as you can see by my comic, i have yet to learn how to shade AND draw as good as the rest, but I hope to learn ~Geo |

Hi all! I just joined a little while ago.
My first piece was published in the NT this week, called "The Little Giant" and its a short story. Would you be so kind as to review it for me?
In the real world, I've been published three times---two of which are poems and one a short story in a book of children's short stories (6th grade and up)
I'm 12, and my name is Kaitlyn. =)

Thanks so much Tay  && Luau for your review :3 I appreciate both! I'm really glad that it not only entertained you but told you of a few Ixis that you never knew about =) I love doing articles that interest not only me but others. I try to find things that people haven't really talked about in the past and things that even I wonder about. Before this, I found it difficult to name several well-known Ixis but now I don't! And, I'll certainly try more Short Stories I just hope it will be easy to get out of my informative article writing style and start a more short-story style  Thanks again ^^ |

Faerieland's Clipped WingsVery cool title. Though things like this don't usually interest me or hold my attention, your writing was so unjumbled and clean that I read through it with no problem. And I caught that reference to playing yooyu ball without a yooyu when she used to foam ball! It bothered me a little that she was talking about the second round and the second round is over, but I guess there's not much you can do about timing. Yeah, I wrote it right at the end of the first round and thought I'd submitted it then, but then realised I hadn't so I submitted it again a couple of weeks ago.  But I hadn't realised I'd mentioned a foam ball until you mentioned it! Faerieland's Clipped Wings by rookinaYour writing in this is flawless. I honestly felt like I was listening to an actual interview, with actual people, not just characters written into a story. It's really good. Thank you Sanity Obsolete Revived by myfallenrevival4 I like it It's a very simple idea but it really works well, and I love the Skeith's expression! The only tiny thing was I had to read the last bit a couple of times 'The Lupe, whose fur hadn't grown more grey over the past seven years' - I had to read it to see if the Lupe's fur had grown more grey or hadn't grown more grey, but aside from that it was really really great Little Orby by tashni Very sweet, good pictures and a funny joke - looking forward to more Orby comics Shoyru Squadron: Agents of Faerie by the_darkjedi I can only repeat what I said last week - love the story, love the art, love the idea Oh, and the twist in the end was a great idea too! Illustrious Ixis by lassie_nikki I didn't know about most of those Ixis! A very interesting read - well done The Completely Brief Comprehensive History of Neopia by simsman24000 Completely brilliant and off-the-wall - loved it! More later... |

The Little Giant by kaitlyn
Great first story, kaitlyn! I applaud you. I did notice a couple typos, but nothing that deserves penalty. For being only twelve, you are already a great writer! (I know I wasn't that good at twelve.)
I do (hehehe) notice a slight resemblance to the Stanley Cup match, with the rookie being made into the goal keeper. One thing I think could have been improved upon was the reason why Evrem was not liked. We understand very clearly that he isn't, but it's unclear exactly why he isn't. Ultimately, though, really great job!
Oh, and welcome to the NTWG!

This is an extreme story! There's so much I can say about it! The suspense is great -- I was seriously at the edge of my seat, waiting to see what Jall would find when he entered the room. The ending is truly haunting, too. It leaves a great sense of foreboding in my mind; I can see how the story could continue, how it could go on forever.... This is truly awesome, Fj0rd, truly awesome.
Talek's Tale by dan4884 Also by imogenweasley
This story is an amazing one. It is easily read, conveys superb emotions, and shows definate structure. I love it; I really enjoyed reading it.
My only negative response is how easily Talek changed his mind towards the end. After all the effort he had put into keeping his promise, he seemed far too easily swayed. Other than that, though, this story is perfect.
The Health Food Crime by zen_reina also by mygoodguild
This story didn't appeal to my tastes as much as the others did, but nonehteless, it is really great. The writing is good, the structure is perfect, and the grammar and spelling are sensibly flawless. Great work, both of you.
Though I would love to have read the rest now, I have neither the time nor the stamina to do it. I will get to them when I find time to, though.
