(( I'm going to forever be playing a lively cripple, aren't I? XD Wouldn't mkaing Rider not kill me totally mess up the timeline of the Guild Wars and alter the actions of every role-player thus making every role-player re-roleplay their actions & re-think their thoughts according to the alternate timeline you've accidently created?)) (( Though the let's-throw-Shino-out-the-window plan does sound somewhat tempting (xD), this is the scenario I had in mind:
After convincing the others to allow Shino to live, they would all walk out of the window and "vanish" as they returned to the time they actually left as their actions after that were, to my interpretation of them, not directly affected by Shino's dying...well, except for Kat's crying and growing mold, but even after that, she joined the others outside. Meanwhile, Shino would simply wait in the room for a few hours, and it'd be "normal" again, with him, presto, still living.
I knew it probably wouldn't play out exactly like that, but clearly seeing a logical way out of the mess, I figured Wolf would be able to say something along these lines to convince everyone else to let Shino live.
Anyways, I'm not really sure if this should be in this thread or not...there is an OoC thread, after all. ))

And you're going to do a lot of work to convince Ikkin. :P At least, past-Ikkin. She'd have to go completely out of character to do anything but attack you for the suggestion. ^^; ))

((Wasn't Shino pretty badly injured anyway? Even if he wasn't killed, he might have passed out or been too weak to move. As for those that saw him and told others that he died [if there were any. I can't remember] maybe they could say 'he was bleeding so badly that he could be dead' or maybe 'he was in a pretty sorry state last I saw him, I'm not sure if he'll survive with those wounds' or something else like that.))

(( Hmm, that's a good idea, Omni.
If Wolf could convince the others that Shino was dead even if he's not, it would truly change nothing, as the others would still believe that Shino was dead. Thus, all problems would be solved. In theory, at least.))

((In my opinion, it would be really waaaaaaaaay too complicated to go out of the timeline and let Shino live. Can't we find some way to revive him now? And before you say it's too improbable, we're talking about Wolf going back in time now as a possibility.))

I mostly agree with Ikkin about my former plan because I don't really wish to continue (or leave dead) this Guild War for another month or so. We can just get over and done with. Plus, I'd like to give plenty of time before the next Guild War (probably in the spring of '08) that Strife has been cooking up.))

Then...maybe Wolf should just be forced to let you die, and then he can figure out a way to get you revived after that... But, then again, if after you die, he stays there, he could ensure that the fire touches you, thus ensuring your revival....
Yes, that could/would/should work. But, agreed, this does need to come to an end, soon. And it needs an actual end. Not an end induced because everyone became too lazy to finish it. ))

(( Alright, we need an end, or at least suggestions for one.
First off, Ikkin can say something else to Wolf, so he can let go of Rider, and while he's not looking, she can grab her cutlass and kill Shino. Thus, he still dies to give his power to Wolf. Then, Wolf can weep all over him with Kat for a bit, both getting moldy and growing fungus as before, while everyone goes out the window. Then, when morning comes, Wolf can [softly] toss Shino out the window so Sev's fire revives him.
However, even if that issue is cleared up, there's still other running stories that need to be ended.
Ikkin and her posse outside (or did they scatter after rejoicing her rebirth?) need to clear out and get on with it, in the most cinematically-appealing way possible, while Kya, Salah, Keng, and Taa'kan do whatever needs to be done in the infirmary and also get outta dodge, minding the expression, o'course.
Then, and only then, can we call this roleplay. ))

((Ok, it's about time the Kya/Keng thing was brought to a close. The general outcome was already agreed on ages ago, it's just a matter of it getting done. So pardon my godmoding.))
"No, it's a natural reaction to anything that's tried to kill me!" Kya spat back at Keng. "YOU attacked first!" retorted Keng angrily, still on the floor but now struggling to get up. "Yea, like I was going to wait around for you to attack me first? You werewolves aren't exactly know for your hospitality." "Maybe the fact that everyone is always trying to kill us has something to do with that?!"
As the two hissed and snarled at eachother the statue continued to drone on, listing the numbers and the corresponding ailments.
"Keng-" tried to interrupt Salah, but neither Keng nor Kya seemed to notice. "Yea? Well with the savagery of your kind there's good reason for that." continued Kya "You ignorant idiot! Do you know how many of my pack you killed?" "You survived so apparently not enough." Keng, even more outraged at this statement than she already was, grabbed the nearest thing, which just so happened to be the book "Mostly Harmless" which she was still carrying, and threw it at Kya, who in her injured state was not fast enough to dodge it. "Three! Three good people who we're just trying to keep the ferals off of your ungrateful hide!" raged Keng "You have selected 3, you have an infectious disease." chimed in the statue. "Oh no, not again." groaned Taa'kan. "The stone head's got that right, you do have an infectious disease! And now thanks to you so do I!"
Their eyes met in a stone cold gaze that they held for several moments until Salah hesitantly pipped in again. "Maybe, with it being so fresh and all, it could, maybe be cured?"
There was another moment of silence as both Keng and Kya diverted their gaze to the well meaning Salah. For a second it looked as if they were going to start snapping at her too. Then Keng, sadly looking at the ground quietly said "There is no cure. And I should never have bitten you." There was great regrett in her voice, but her eyes still showed bitterness towards the huntress. "It's against my pack's laws." "Oh that's comforting to know." said Kya sarcastically. "But it dosen't help the fact that you bit me." "No, nor does it change the fact that you killed my friends, that Fredrick is dead because you were to pig headed to see past a few ancient horror tales." Keng retorted again, "But it doesn't mean I can't help." Kya was about to snap back again, but curiosity got the better of her "How?" "This," explained keng turning her head to show the back of her head and pointing at a small lump in it, "is the closest thing we know of to a cure." "And that is?" "It generates artificial sun or moonlight, to control transformations, but it dosen't work when the full moon is out." "And you can get me one?" "Well, no my pack can, but they take a while to make unless..." Keng looked at Salah, an idea striking her, "unless a light mage could enchant one?" she concluded giving Salah a look of questioning. "I, I think I might be able to." replied Salah after a moment of thought. "How do they work exactly?" "Well, mine is technological based, I control it by applying pressure in a certain way to change the kind of light." "How much light is needed?" "Depends on the night, but it would need less than what you need to transform me back into a human from the outside, nearly a 5th of that I would guess." "Guess? Well will it work or not?" asked Kya. "I believe I can do it. But it would have to be controlled a little differently, and I'd need a stone or something." was the best answer Salah could give. "Let's give it a try then." urged Keng, trying to get up again, having forgotten about her injuries, and as a result experiancing renewed pain and falling back down. "Maybe we should get you in bed first?" suggested Taa'akan stepping forward with some sound logic. He then looked at Kya, "Both of you if you've decided not to kill each other now."
"I'm going to go try to get that stone thing to work. I'll be back." said Salah, feeling useful and glad to have something to do to keep her mind off of things. She then disapeered from the room as Keng and Kya were helped one at a time by the huge wolf to separate beds on opposite sides of the room. Then, the insistent statue was finally allowed to treat the patients.
A while later Salah returned with a small glowing pebble in her hand. Taakan was asleep in a corner. "I think I did it!" she proclaimed.
*insert them having a succesful test here.*
"Thanks Salah." Keng smiled to her friend. She then turned back to Kya, "It won't be enough though you know." "What do you mean?" asked Kya. "You'll still need to learn to control yourself when you do transform." "And how long might that take?" "A few months." A look of understanding crossed Kya's face. "I am NOT spending a few months with YOU while you train me like a puppy." "A puppy hardly, but I hardly savour the thought of spending that much time with you either. No, my old pack would be much better for that." "Months with werewolves! Great!" "You're one of us now." Kya scowled. "Fine, take me to your friends, better than having to spend anymore time with you." "Fine, we leave as soon as we can walk again." The two glared at eachother again then rolled on to their sides, facing away from eachother to get some sleep. They would never be friends.
-END ... of the Keng/Kya thing anyways.-

((I finally got time to read this, Keng, and it was a great ending. I can’t quite say Taa’kan would be caught dead saying those passages verbatim, but he’d have acted in much the same manner had I been the one writing him, so… *shrugs* Well-done.
And, of course, please excuse my minimal godmoding… An end is in order.))“He doesn’t deserve to die,” Wolf said again. His voice was still quiet, almost unheard; he still felt Ikkin’s angry eyes upon him, a fire from her soul to his. He needs to die!Ikkin’s words echoed in his mind, and he found he could neither look at Ikkin or at Shino anymore. If he ignored them long enough, they wouldn’t be there anymore, things could go back to the way they were before…. But Rider squirmed in his grasp, and as he moved to see if she would struggle more, he saw Shino. White-faced but bloody, pale to translucency, hardly even conscious. And he ached inside for Shino. He saw his friend, his brother, standing there, unable to defend himself. He saw the darkness once inside Shino pushed to his edges, almost but not yet entirely exorcised from his body and soul. And Wolf knew Ikkin was right. Only through death could this evil be wholly expelled from Shino. Only through death could he be saved. Only through death could he save them all. Wolf’s hold on Rider loosened and he pushed her aside. There hadn’t been much force in his gesture, but she still lost her balance and fell. Wolf didn’t care, though; Wolf couldn’t care, though, for he knew what he was about to do, and it would kill him if he tried at all to care any more than he already did. Rider’s cutlass glinted on the floor, but it wouldn’t do. The cutlass was her weapon; only she could kill with it. He pushed the sword aside in his mind and instead reached for his waist, undid a small sheath hanging on his right side, and withdrew an emerald dagger. Its green blade was as translucent as ice; he peered through it at Shino, and the White Knight seemed a few shades darker, almost as green as himself in that moment. Wolf bit his bottom lip then nodded. He could feel it coming, the point of no return. If he didn’t act soon, the past as it had played out could no longer be; the world would crumble and die. Tears welled in his eyes; tears slid down his face and slid past his lips, their saltiness a bitter tell of what was to come, the blood that had yet to be shed. He stepped closer to Shino, so close that he could feel their hearts’ beating as one, their pulse a single entity as the one died so the other could live. The dagger rested between them, a circuit, a conduit. Wolf raised it slowly, rested its point along Shino’s chest, alongside his heart. “I’m sorry,” he whispered, for Shino’s ears only, “I’m sorry it has to be this way…” He blinked and swallowed to keep speaking. “I’ll miss you, I miss you already.” He lifted his head, looked deep into Shino’s eyes. “I’ll never forget you. Brother...” Warm blood poured over his hand; Shino’s body slipped from his grasp and crumpled to the floor. Wolf’s dagger still hung in the air, and slowly he returned it to its sheath. He'd clean off Shino’s blood later, when he could handle it. Later, when he could handle what he’d done. The room was silent. Kat muffled a cry, but made no other sounds. Not even Ikkin could bring herself to say something, anything. The room was silent. “Get out,” said Wolf quietly, trembling. “Get out.” He coughed, a wad of phlegm caught in his throat. “Get out,” he hissed, turning towards Ikkin. “Get out!” His hand flew towards the window, scattering drops of blood. “I did what you wanted, now get out! Get out!” Wolf clenched his fists, shaking, snarling. “This is an order,” he yelled, “Get out! Get out already!” Ikkin was the first to move. She pried open the window and climbed out of it. Shade followed her, then Rider. Kat was the last to go; she cried for a few moments, tears streaming down her face as she looked at Shino’s fallen form, then, finally, she wiped away her tears and left to fight for what he had died for. And Wolf was alone again. His only companion, his longest friend, lay next to him, yet still, Wolf was alone. He turned back to Shino and finally felt his strength give way. He fell to his knees, clasped his hands over his face. Large sobs came from inside him and tears the size of rainclouds poured down his face. He doubled over, his sorrow and despair unending. * * * Taa’kan watched as the light mage and the werewolves tested the stone the former had just enchanted. It seemed to work well enough, and as the two warring werewolves were both confined to their own beds sans weaponry, he assumed they would remain alright if he left them. And so he did. They were occupied with their own arguing when Taa’kan rose to his feet and strode out of the room. After such an exhausting day, his normally loud footfalls were rather silent as he roamed the halls for a way out. Then his ears twitched and he suddenly felt Erros’ presence at the end of the hall. He followed it with his eyes until it all turned red. He had dashed to the pool of blood before any other thoughts could strike him. He found Erros in the room nearby, lying over a corpse. He cried over the body, onto the body, appeared to have been crying for hours already, and was covered in blood and tears. “Come,” Taa’kan whispered and nudged Erros; the knight acknowledged him with a groan to leave him be but kept clinging to the body. Taa’kan nodded, but disobeyed. He nudged himself under Erros and flipped him onto his back. In the process, he’d covered his own right side with blood, but it was a price he was willing to pay for his kindred, his king. He needed to take Erros home now. He had need to leave this place as well. “Come,” he said as he strode out of the room, Wolf still weeping into his thick fur, “you need rest, Erros, long, lasting rest. A night’s sleep will do you well, my king.” END …of the Wolf/Shino scene, at least. ((Well, that’s two down, one to go. Ikkin, you’re up.))
