what if, for one week in the times, everyone will try to include an object or a character. Like say in the comics, in the background there's a mynci puppet, or like a really big banana. we can see if anyone notices. we could also have on the bottom of each comic "if you can notice what all these comics have in common, win a prize" sorta thing. and it may get more people to read hte times. Hmm.. maybe, or maybe it'll make people more confused (NTWF Birthday Puzzle 2007)

i think it would be better if the item/creature just reappeared in many comics - people would eventually start noticing and checking out other comics to see if it's in there. But the prize thing would just be a proper pain. Way too many people would notice with an incentive like that. Waaaaay too many people. And i see nothing wrong with confusing readers.

Neopets would probably frown on the prize thing anyway, but the rest of the idea is neat... it kind of reminds me of the Phantom of the NT thread that someone made a while back, only this would be easier to execute probably, (although, as I said in that thread, Mr. Shankly already almost serves this function since he keeps popping up in people's comics-- but I think you're talking about something more hidden, kind of a Where's Waldo thing almost?)

Where's Waldo would be OK, but I think the item should be Neopets related. Perhaps even as an inside joke for NTWF....

I KNEW that... But after reading Karma's comics, one NEVER knows what to expect... Heh, oh yeah, I forgot about that...

Don't mind me, my ISP is acting up and I get error messages, which creates double posts and missing posts. I deleted a double post and it killed both of them. **SIGH**
Anyway, maybe something in the comic like a Neopet version of "Kilroy was here". Then somebody can do a story about this Neopet version of Kilroy, who decided to place his mark all throughout one issue of the NT.

That would be hilarious - especially if for a few weeks there were only traces of this character, and then after awhile it would actually appear in a comic.

... And I killed the OTHER one. Figgers...
Anyway, perhaps a mysterious pawprint with "Fang wuz here" or some such....
For the articles or stories, a line could be added between a paragraph that reads "Something has happened! A mysterious character streaks across the page, screaming 'Fang wuz here!' and leaves. Very strange..."

lol, that would be excellent. except..with my latest story (if it ever gets finished, probably not till next year) people'll get confused as the main character is Blazing Fang. But that's just the sort of thing that would happen. i vote for fang and the mysterious pawprint.

Perhaps instead of having this character appear in several different things every week, he could just be in one work each week-- it would kind of be like a scavenger hunt to figure out where "Fang" was this week, you know?

LOL! "Finding Fang!" A cookie to the finder of Fang's Pawprint. Of course, cookies are given out on the web ALL the time, tee hee. Seriously, we'd have to designate a person to host "Fang" for that week, then ensure it gets into that week's issue of NT. now THAT, my friends, may be a bit harder, unless..... someone can convince josh to plant this little goody someplace on his own.

Or how about the characters in stories see this character passing by? Give him/her some distinctive figure, so that say, un-eairkagh enters a shop and notices a cloud lupe carrying a viola exiting. That sort of thing. Kind of like Hitchock (spelt wrong, I know) always does in his movies. (for those that don't know what I'm talking about; Hitchock always put himself in the background of his movies, always carrying a musical instrement. In The Birds, he carries a cello)
