Can mods and admin fix broken boards? Because I think one of the mods said that they fixed a broken board. I think there's an option in the admin section that says fix board. It would just save 'Pirate war no. 6' etc.
Thanks!

I doubt that...
If there was an option on proboards to fix boards, it would just do it automatically.
But I think because of Patjade's super brain mind when it comes to computers, she can do some extra stuff the other mods can't.

There's definitely a proboards option to fix a board in the admin section, and it wasn't patjade, it was... pseudo?

There's no magical "fix board" button anywhere. But a lot of the time, we can toggle the lock/unlock button to get a board that's stopped working to accept posts again. That's all.

Yes. I have my own board (Hosted by Proboards), and I know for a fact that they can.

Hehe, I just asked Pat about this the other day, and like Tdyans says, you just toggle the lock/unlock button.

Okay, I checked out the Fix a board function, but it only fixes boards, not individual threads, as far as I can tell.

The "Fix Board" option recounts and fixes SOME of the errors that may occur. It doesn't fix the broken threads. Proboards says that the next version will address this.
To fix broken thread, ask a mod or admin to click the lock button a couple of times until it dows, then doesn't display the lock icon, then you can post on the thread. The thread pageview and page numbering will be messed up from the overview page, though, but all the posts will show.
I hope that helps.

Find out!" thread. It broke today.
