imagine if Garfield was turned into a weekly comic bnecuase the newspapers wanted to make room for newer comics.
Reallyconfused is the garfield of the neopian times. not to mention the other great long running series.
...while trying to think up regular comics older than the pet patrol I reached a frightning result. the pet patrol is the 2nd oldest running regular series in the times (its not every week, but its still preety regular)
maybe 3rd, but I'm not sure when room for two started

maybe 3rd, but I'm not sure when room for two started RFT is still a bit of a newcomer. I know Frolics, Nonsensical Verbiage, *thinks* and a couple others who completely escape me right now, have been around longer. I don't know how I got counted in as a comic regular. I'm really not.

I don't know how I got counted in as a comic regular. I'm really not. Ummm... Frolics is less than regular, and Nonsensical has been in the times maybe twice in the last two months if not less. (I know The Pet Patrol Revolution was like that too, but it was the longest break I took. I plan to ge tback on course ASAP. Nonsensical verbiage is usually published that rarely.)

[glow=red,2,300]Wow.
I'm reading all of these arguments, and I have to say I've changed my mind. (Something I don't do often.)
The new rule isn't that great. It is degrading to Times newbies. Quality should count, not the number of trophies you have or don't have. If I were a newbie, I'd rather my piece were accepted for being good and not out of pity or anything.
(Please excuse my grammar. My brain is on strike and i'm trying to blow a bubble gum bubble for the first time in 3.5 years.)[/glow]

There goes my chances of getting the avatar... *dies in the hopes of Insanely Nuts Becoming a weekly comic*
I still say Stone, NeoTomi, and all the other regularly (And good) comics should get in... I mean, I started reading the Times mainly because I loved Stone's comics and articles... now... it's just weird...

This really bites for all of us regulars (and soon-to-be regulars, like me).
I don't think it's fair to put us aside for newcomers. If there is honestly a lot of good work from newcomers, then why can't that section just be a bit bigger for that week?
As another note, let's not blame Feli for this just because she's the editor. There is a chance that it was commanded by a higher power, probably because of the dang NW board, where all those jealous brats are complaining about the regulars.

Quality is the main thing. Yet I haven't seen much quality in the NT lately anyway. If the newbies have quality, let it get in. Felicia should completely ignore the username and just accept based on the quality. That's the way I see it.
But it's her desicion really, which I can't help but agree with. You guys have been in it long enough. You don't need to get in every week... you still get in, don't you? Basically, suck it up.

It's the decision of the same person who's making all these rules. We should request that this new rule-maker be put on Whack-a-Staff Member. And he'd be worth 50 pts.[/glow]
