*shrugs* Luckily, you don't have to spend too long fighting them... Unlike the skeletons on the way to Zombom xD Oh my goodness the skeletons. .___. I... I don't want to know about Evil and InSaNe with them. .___. Also, I have a question. Do you focus on Mipsy's Single Direct Damage or Group Direct Damage? The guides I've read say that group is the best in the long run, since Astral Maelstrom does less damage, but doesn't miss nearly as often as Obliterate in the end, but still, I kinda want some thoughts. I'm currently focusing on Single by the way. I've used both, and um, I can't say I favor one over the other xD However, these are my thoughts: It's true that Direct Damage gets resisted a lot later in the game, but what I like about this is that it's fast. It's roughly 2.5x faster than Group Direct Damage, which gives Mipsy more turns (GDD's slowness is not so prominent early on, when Rohane's also pretty slow, but it's kinda obvious later on, about chapter 4-5), but yes, monsters will resist it. It's also better for bosses and in the early chapters, when Rohane and Talinia are still weak. GDD's also not as good against monsters that focus and bosses, and completely destroys Velm's mesmerization (he mesmerizes, and seconds later, GDD knocks the monsters out of the trance); it's a lot slower, which can get annoying, but it's pretty convenient for finishing off low HP monsters, and it's less likely to be resisted. (With GDD, though, Talinia can surpass Mipsy in terms of damage done pretty early, somewhere around chapter 3 or 4, depending on how many points you put on GDD. So if you like Talinia, GDD might be an option XD) If you're really curious, play another game and get Group Direct Damage; just don't get both, 'cause that's a waste xD And I could ramble on about this, but I think that's enough for one post =P Edit: If you're on normal, I say get both XD I only spend 11 points on a single skill, so I end up with 11 on DD/GDD, 11 on Haste, 11 on dmg shields, and 11 on casting haste, with 6 on defense. But overall, haste is more important than dmg shields. If you have to choose, go for haste. Later on, monsters will be faster, stronger, and some of them have haste of their own xD Not to mention it's free and can haste everyone in one turn, unlike potions.

I did notice quite a bit more of delay with Group Direct Damage as opposed to Single Direct Damage. And I'll try and focus on Haste and a bit of the Damage Shields as well later. Thank you! ;D Edit: I just accidentally made Mipsy use Flurry against a Dust Scarab. Oh well. Thank goodness Puree one hit KO's the Giant Sand Spyder's though. Too many enemies running about that take too long to defeat. X__X Or rather, are left with like 2 to 10 Health Points after Mipsy massacres them. Also, I love Stunning Strikes! ;D A Hulking Mummy is no match for stunning attacks and Puree! ;D

I'm currently at the stage of fighting those Mucus Beasts. Unlike the Grundo-based monsters (whether crossed-over with petpets or not) the sight really gets boring. With the Grundo-based you get at least cute art. Even the giant Grundo-Spider in the cave was cute. Now we have those snot-dripping swamp-grass coloured Tonus posing as Mucus Beasts again and the only other monster will be a couple of dots called fleas. *sigh* At least later on I get funny chia fighters in that chapter.

Finally got through that non-fun house and fought the four faeries. And I definitely have to say that I got lucky with them. No mesmerization from the dark faerie and only one brief scare when Velm dropped to 106 hp which had me fear he might die on me and I'd have to finish the fight without the healer and the option to mesmerize the water faerie. By the time Velm was back up to par, the dark faerie was down and it went all well. I know a lot of people recommend using potions on the faeries, but it was not really necessary.

In the end, it worked out - I won, only to find that the Faeries gave me really terrible weapons >>

No slowing available though, only mesmerization in case of Velm. As for the weapons, don't really know if those I got were worth equipping... I think I mostly got armour. Finally! Finally finished Haunted Woods. Though I have to say, that I'll kind of miss the Heart of Nox. It always reminded me of a toddler in yellow footed knight-pyjamas ;D
It's kind of sad also to see how little NP one gets for defeating the chapter's boss. Ah, well, not playing for the NP anyway, playing for the silver trophy.
EDIT: I was just wondering, since I'm already at level 57 (evil) and are on my way to Devilpuss... I am bound to reach max level comparatively early, considering the size of Faerie City and the palace... And since I'll have maxed out the healing potions as well... Is it worth continuing to fight the monsters in hope for random weapons? There are enough mini-bosses for this, I think, so I might be better off just walking the rest of the act in normal mode, once I reached max level...
EDIT 2: Of course I'll walk the rest of the act in normal mode. I might set a record in gold if I walked through in hunting mode, but I would seriously get mentally unbalanced... Am level 60 now, gained it shortly after I fought the thief for the first time. And I don't want to even imagine how this act would feel if I had to fight my way through it.
