Oh my... I feel very strange now. I never would have thought that most of you were only around 11 - you're so... so mature! Guess my age if you feel like. When I'm old enough to be a grandmother, I think I'll be one of those loud old women who wears bright colors and carries around a huge flower-patterned purse. You can't be serious all your life, y'know. Are you planning on being serious ANY of your life? Lapin: I think most of us know how old you are already. . . Linne: Do not eat the baby? Is that SERIOUSLY what they "taught" you?

Linne: Do not eat the baby? Is that SERIOUSLY what they "taught" you? We had a whole section about how you can't leave babies alone with strangers... It was disturbingly basic stuff...

We had a whole section about how you can't leave babies alone with strangers... It was disturbingly basic stuff... Hm, at the school I went to before I started homeschooling, the "taking care of babies" course involved carrying around a big doll all day every day and never, EVER putting it down unless you had someone you knew to look after it.

So do I; there weren't any science courses offered as electives for my grade. Since shop is half woodworking-type stuff and technology-related stuff the other semester, I thought it'd be fun...it has been, so far. I liked the teacher and most of the modules (especially the robotics one!) were interesting. Next semester will be the woodworking... The drill press in shop last year was evil. Most of the machines did what they were supposed to, but the drill press hated me and refused to work correctly. The other machines weren't too bad (except the spot welder or whatever it's called...it kept sparking...I don't like hot!) for the msot part. Yes, that's what we had to do last year, only there was computers instead of music (I think so, anyway...there are a few inconsistencies in my memory. I might be wrong). If you were in band, your schedule was off, so you didn't have one of those and put gym and health into one of those slots (so you only had them one quarter instead of the full year!). This year, though, band is an elective and you don't get less gym for it

Wow. I never took any sort of home ec or art class. My school now doesn't even offer gym (but the walk between classes makes up for it). We have to learn useless stuff.
And no one's guessed my age yet!

Leb must be sixteen because she can drive. Or at least. . . in her comics she can.

Hey, how old do you people think I am? (I know I've asked this a few times, but I'm curious)

Starhamster, I think you said somewhere you're a high school senior. I might be wrong, but I definitely know that you are a high school student and not a freshman.
My guess at your age - 17
