First, I go to the fruit machine, winning nothing, then someone said, a few minutes later, that they got a checkered paint brush! Then I went to the shrine and got a dubloon, then someone said they got 1,000,000 np! Now, I went to Kauvara's and found a blue tonu morphing potion, and a shadowed ixi morphing potion, and I MISSED IT!  For once, I would like something good to happen to me... |

Is this the same "someone" for the machine and shrine? If so, I put doubt with their claims.
In any case, good things eventtually happen to everyone... though I'd like a kinder slab of luck myself.

I almost had even worse yesterday... You see, I was raised in a Neo-society when fire, fire, your pants on fir epaint brushes were worth 225,000 nps at the least. Last night I remained under this presumption and bought one delightedly for 190,000.
Some jerk was offering his for 175,000. That poo-head lost me 5 good offers (I ultimately wanted a Baby paint brush, but I was willing to just get a refund of neopoints), but finally someone actually tried bidding on it, and they realized that the guy was just kidding. So someone traded my 190,000 nps back.
Just about the most pointless thing you've ever heard, eh? It's kinda like running into a burning house that has nothing of value in it, then running out again, the only thing accomplished being that you're alive.
Okay, so now that I'm on my rant of what I did last night, I scanned the trading/auctions board for people online that second with a Baby paint brush. I found one and bought it for 195,000. And now my skeith is baby!

I think my worst day ever on neopets happened about a year ago...I hadn't been playing very long, at least.
1. Sign in to a whiny neomail from someone from the newbie board who was hellbent she was going to hold a grudge with me for not picking her as the winner of my competition the night before
2. Didn't win the poll for the guild council position
3. Lost 10k playing Scorchy Slots (10k was a fortune to me back then)
4. Got sniped on all my auctions
5. The crowning glory of my misery was the kookith I had won a month ago in the guild lottery and my most prized possession, was Yahoo's petpet at the time. I had put a note in my user lookup telling people he was not for sale and not to ask. Someone neomailed me and said "WHAT Kookith? You don't have one, you liar." So I checked and....poof, no kookith. Also no dubloons or green paint brush in my SDB. So on top of it all, I'd been hacked too.
That was a very tear-your-hair-out day x.x

I was raised in a neosociety where fire and faerie pbs were about 150k nps and the others were buyable from shops..miss those good ol days |

I wouldn't call getting a dubloon from the shrine bad luck. I got 300np from it today, and that's a decent prize in itself.

I once missed over five potions in Kauvara's shop (Bruce Plushie, Purple Draik, Shadow Ixi, Brown Ixi, and Purple Zafara) in a span of three restocks. It was painful...
I'm sure that someone was lying. I doubt that they got a million at the shrine, AND a checkered paintbrush, so don't worry about it. ^_~

Mmm . . . well, I have many days where I don't get anything. The worst day was probably . . . Well, considering and I didn't play for the full 11/12 months, I don't have much to choose from (maybe six months or so . . .) So, umm . . . it was probably when . . . yes . . . 1. I don't think I won anything good, and back then, I didn't visit Coltzan's Shrine OR The Snowager, so, yeah. 2. I just went to the omelette as usual, and I got a rotten omelette. Thinking it wasn't really bad at all, I fed it to my first pet, my aisha, Lapinnie . . . AND SHE GOT SICK!! ;_; I was so stooooopid! *bonks head on desk* WAAAH! 3. Back then I was working on my site, and Lappinny did a journal entry (just take a lookie at my site, will ya?), and in total, I hung around the pharmacy for oh . . . more than five hours? 4. So umm . . . It really was the most horrible day, because she's my first pet and all . . . I mean, Lapinae had been sick about four times before, so I'm not too scared of her anymore . . . and I think Lappinny got sick once, too. 5. So, during the many hours in the pharmacy, I also went to the Healing Springs. And then, VOILA!! =) Yeah . . . almost ten hours . . . and THEN she healed her . . . *smiles in relief* neo-lapin.tripod.com/water.html <-- Eh? Well, not from the same person. Now for the real life bad day of yesterday. Yesterday, I went to the store with mom and dad (and my little sister) but first, my little sister FORCED us to go to McDonalds first! I had 3 pies, 1 fries, and 1 soda. Before I could eat the rest of my pie, my little sister speaks up. "Hannah, (me) I want to go in the playplace!" "Could you let my finish eating?" "But I need you!" Sighing, I put the pie back in the box and walked my little sister to the playplace, but my little sister won't let me do anything that helps her get out for 5 seconds! She used to go to the slide A LOT, but now she's scared of it, even though I like it! When we FINALLY finished, we went to the store. I had to finish my book first. When I did, I went inside. After awhile, I started walking around with mom, and then I wander off to find some things. When I return, she wasn't there! I looked here and there and up and down, but no sign of mom! Finally, after what felt like a half-hour, I found her by dad. I asked mom a question, then my dad told me to go away! So I did and when mom found me again, she yelled at me for walking off! Then she didn't let me go ANYWHERE unless SHE SAYS SO! Grrr... its not fair!  |

Bah, parents and kid siblings are a pain in the butt. But you grow to appreciate them when you get older.  I am thinking, have you thought of writing this from a Neopets perspective? It'd make an interesting topic: "Insert Neopet's Name Here's" Bad Day. Go on from there... |

If so, double thanks! ;D I don't remember, but I am sort of a cheerleader, and try to turn things to an advantage. You could even write the restaurant events in, with the poor pet having to watch over his/her younger sister, losing Mom (you), and getting punished and sent to his/her room, or something of the sort.
