Geez, I feel like such an outcast. None of my stories even have death, love or parents in them...

Few of my Neopets stories do; the series I'm trying to get in has a hint of love, but not really, and the closest I've come to parents is how Spring_Golden_Iris calls her owner "Daddy."

Geez, I feel like such an outcast. None of my stories even have death, love or parents in them... Hmm... Nope, none in mine, either. No death, no love (I can't write it to save my life... Perhaps it's because I've never been in an intimate relationship? Yeah, that would explain it... ), and no parents, save a series I'm working on, which involves kings, queens, and a future king, which means he has a father. Other than that, nope.

Hmm... I've written a semi-love story before but never actually sent it in - I should probably revise it and try that sometime. I've had characters preparing to kill (though in the end there was no real fighting because they found a peaceful solution); I've never mentioned parents.
...So you see, stone? You're not alone!

Does anyone have any reviews for issue 80? None at all? It seems like we never have any reviews for anything other than the comics on these threads. I've written a few stories that crossed the line. Like "Clop, The Untold Story" --It was originally "Darigan's Son" --I had to do some HEAVY editing on it, though, so that it could get in. No fathers allowed, even though there were no mothers. Not even a mention of a mother! But, rules are rules...

Does anyone have their article/story/comic posted on the NT search board yet? I'm really curious, since I'll probably be in Palm Springs when the NT hits neopets, and I don't know if I'm going to be in this one or not. I want to know, so I can put on my user lookup not to neomail me.

[glow=gold,2,300] Yep, here am I again, at my sch's computer lab! I've just completed a short story entitled, ' Jhudoras' Revenge' ... you know, like a continuing series kind of thingy? I know it sounds CORNY, so I'm thinking of changing it from a short story to a series. And change the title too! Ugh! How on earth did I come up with such a dumb title?! Maybe my brain cells aren't working yet! Could any of you guys help give me some examples of titles that are interesting and catchy? I'm thinking of writing a story about Pearl, the Faerie Usul turning into a mutant due to a cursed necklace and how it helped her understand how some mutants felt while they were being shunned and teased in school ... something like that! And by the way, I totally agree with Battlesunnn, and I'm quite puzzled on why nobody really likes to do reviews on short stories ... are they really that bad? And as for me, I don't really dare to since I still consider myself an unqualified writer and not fit to comment on other people's work![/glow]

[/glow] Well, I normally do; every few weeks I rotate doing short stories and articles. It's just that this week, the Times came out uber late and I was so caught up in homework and the like that I had no time to do them. I would have otherwise. Just a polite suggestion: could you not use the glowy text like that? It's a little hard on my eyes. Just a suggestion....*ducks into hole*

In fact, that was the title of my very first series...you stole it! I'LL KILL YOU!!! Just kidding. Mine didn't get in...I hope yours does, because I'd like to read it.
