Yeah-- but the funny thing is they didn't take what really mattered-- my name and my pets. So I was lucky. But I should have changed my password when teghan first brought this up-- I went off to school and didn't do it. Looking back now, I should have done it right away, but I wasn't as concerned as I should have been, obviously. The same thing happened to me, except I didn't see the Hacked by Gene-tix thing. I wasn't as concerned either, because the page didn't even work. Actually, I think being hacked is, in some ways, a good thing - makes me realise that NP doesn't matter THAT much. |

Don't feel stupid Stoneman. I have done much stupider in my span of time on Neopets that I could slap myself, but I find banging my head on the keyboard much more effective ;D LOL-- I'd do that, but with my luck I'll break the keyboard... |

That's why I didn't worry about it-- but now I see that the page not working is part of the cookie grabber program-- so now I'll be more cautious about visiting private pages off-site. |

Someone took the characters in my Time Twisters story, created the pets, and painted them to make them the same colours! And I don't understand about neopia.tk. It takes me to a blank page and when I go to the little cyberfics thingy it links me to, it's pictures of stuff, one of a cat.

TK, maybe you're just starting to read this thread, but that site has a cookie-grabber and several people have gotten hacked by visiting it. You'd best hurry and delete your cookies and change your password. |

I guess you're right about that. It's official. I've just been hacked. I logged into today to Neopets and I had zero Neopoints. My bank account was wiped out. I immediately went to change my login word and saw this message there: Hacked by Gen-etix. I swear I have never logged into a fake log-in page, given my login word to anyone or anything even remotely like that. I have been playing Neopets for a year and I have been very careful about things like that. I sincerely do not know how this happened, except if I got nailed by a cookie-grabber like you said. I guess somebody out there doesn't care much for my Neopian Times articles and comics, huh? Happy birthday, Stoneman. Anyway, I reported it to Neopets so everything is going to be okay. My account and my pets are still there and that's what counts. I didn't see your post earlier...I'm so sorry that you were hacked.  Obviously you were cookie grabbed, nobody falls for login pages anymore. It was probably that same page posted here. I've posted on this forum before about visiting links through neomail. Realize, they don't only get your Neopets password, but the password for every site you've ever logged into. (since you last deleted your cookies) aka, this forum also. I visited it the other day and I still haven't gotten hacked. If that is some sort of victory for you, hooray. Changing your password will take 30 seconds, it's ok if you are willing to risk everything over that. |

too_kule, change the password. It's only a matter of time before they get around to you. Report it, report it, report it! Please, nobody go to that website. I am trying to work on tracking down the person who set it up, but I don't know if Neopets is going to really care. Getting tizzy666 will only get a front. I want ALL of that person's account frozen and the IP/email address blocked. And visiting that site will grab ALL your cookies. That means your hotmail accounts, your Forum account, and anything else you visit on the web. Realize, they don't only get your Neopets password, but the password for every site you've ever logged into. (since you last deleted your cookies) aka, this forum also. I realised that (the only site I ever log in to except NeoPets is here), but I didn't change my password (um... a hacker going into the forum?!), so if my account runs around saying "neopia.tk iz n0t a (00k33 g7A88er n0w la, iz g00d la" then it's not me. |

I visited it the other day and I still haven't gotten hacked. It took about 24 hours for me to get hacked-- he obviously has a backlog of victims to wade through... change your pass-- don't be an ass. (Meant as poetry not an insult). |
